Tent vacation rentals in Mississippi River

I decided last minute to see the 2024 eclipse in 100% totality. I drove all the way from Colorado to Marion, IL. All hotels were booked & really expensive. Then I saw Cassie's camping spot. I'm a solo female traveler with a dog & not much of a Camper so I was a little nervous, but this location was so easy to find, and felt very safe. Cassie even provided hotdogs and marshmallows for everyone. This was the perfect location to see the 2024 eclipse in 100% totality. I'll remember this always!

we had a really pleasant stay. The bathrooms were really convenient and kept clean. Really liked that we could use any of the canoes, kayaks, etc available any time we wanted.

This is our third time back to their resort! Our first time using their glamping tents, and it was worth the extra little cost. We had the outdoor experience of camping with the comfort of a bed and living space, and the forest canopy keeps the area cool even in midday summer. They have great extra amenities and service to make it a memorable trip, and the region is beautiful. Can't wait to come back again!

It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The yurt was very spacious and the bed/futon was very comfortable. Loved that we had access to the paddle boat without having to pay extra. The store had plenty of games and books to checkout. Will definitely return and try the camper and cabin.

Nice low key glamping resort on Twin Lakes. The tent and beds were super clean and comfortable with nice linens. The beach and lake were just a short walk down the trail and surprisingly they were few bugs. Some nice touches include the hammock, chairs, charging station, fire pit etc…. We didn’t really come prepared to cook so ended up driving into Eagle River several times for meals. I would have liked a way to make coffee in the morning but that was prob my fault for not reading the descriptions. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and using the paddleboards and kayaks. The “honor” general store was also helpful for ice and firewood. All in all a great experience with having to hassle with all the camping gear. Plus we slept great!

We stayed at Cassi’s for the 2024 eclipse. The location was so peaceful. We brought our 32’ camper and she said “go anywhere in the back” so we set up in view of the pond. There were 8 others guests in tents. They were all so friendly. The kids loved playing with the dogs and kept talking about Aero and Zep all day after left. (I just realized that those dogs are probably named after Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin) Next time there’s an eclipse that cuts across Cassi’s yard you should definitely stay here! Or if you just want a nice place that’s not far from home.

We loved our stay! It was so cozy down to every detail! It was adventurous, relaxing, and surrounded with beauty! Every detail has been carefully thought through!

This listing was perfect! The tent was spotless and in great shape. The surroundings were beautiful and the wild life was awesome! There were so many birds to watch and listen to from the deck. I will definitely be keeping this place in mind next time we come through town! Thank you so much for having us.

This was such a unique and beautiful place to stay. It was a great mix of having private space to do our own thing and also feeling like you're invited to be involved. We wanted to take the opportunity to explore the farm so we learned quite a bit while visiting. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Our kids now want to go back every year!

We had the best time on Cheryl's property, Blue Haze Farms. Just know she will go out of her way to take care of you and your guests! Beautiful scenery, awesome properties and all the amenities! I'm still smiling from our experience! We booked Labor Day for our next trip here... can't wait!! Thank you again Cheryl! 💓

Staying here was a well needed rest for me. It was a bit difficult to find but I enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We had a feeling it wld be Great. It more than out did our expectations! The grounds were wooded and so beautiful with sounds of whiperwills and pilated woodpeckers everywhere. Squirrels playing throughout. We relaxed in the hot tub and bask in the tranquility of it all at dusk. Night was so special with the orangish glow penetrating the thin canvas of the Teepee. Imagining to ourselves is this what it was like hundreds of years ago. I'm sure they wld approve of this especially the fabulous working A/C! We are so happy we stayed here and wld so recommend this to any couple looking to have a unique experience! Much Love to our host for having the creativity and passion to build such a great air bnb.

We loved staying in the A frame! It was a beautiful and peaceful spot. Clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Absolutely loved it. We can't wait to come back! Hosts were friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at Joshua’s cabin/tent! We went during a blizzard and felt like all our needs were taken care of. We had plenty of firewood and kerosene to stay warm. We felt like pioneers doing everything by hand. This was definitely one step up from camping in a regular tent. Very pet friendly. It is right off of the highway so you hear traffic constantly. But when the storm hit all traffic stopped, which was perfect and very peaceful all day.

My family and our dogs stayed for one night. it was a great overall experience! It was a comfortable and peaceful stay. Lawrence was very friendly and helpful with things to do in the area and anything we needed as far as our stay. we saw the totems, and went to a nice relaxing lake nearby.

The stay was wonderful! The weather was perfect at night 65*! There was an abundance of wildlife around the tenting everyday! The bath houses were super clean and fully stocked. The cooking area had everything you need and the refrigerator and freezer were a big plus!! We will definitely be returning to stay again!! 💚🦌🍂

Such a lovely piece of land. Very peaceful. Ocean was very responsive when we had any questions. The goats were so sweet and there were so many animals!! We went kayaking and on a row boat and it was so much fun. There’s so much to do. We had to leave a day early due to a family emergency and they were very accommodating and helpful.

Hey! Just wanted to say thank you to Mason and his family for being so inviting and welcoming us into this beautiful and secluded space. We enjoyed the river exploring the most with the beautiful rocky beach and white driftwood. Very lovely place if you’re hoping to escape the hustle and bustle!

Our stay was enchanting! We will definitely be back.The property is clean, with lots of activities. Our kids loved the games, scavenger hunt, the outdoor movie theater, the hammock and of course… all the little critters and farm animals! The host family gave us a tour of their property and that was truly the highlight of the trip! The only time we left the property was to stock up on food to not waste any time eating out. We enjoyed the tent itself, especially during the amazing storm we got to watch through the see-through top! It was clean, fun and peaceful! Perfect getaway from the city!
