The Stone Cabin came highly recommended from a friend. After visiting and staying for a weekend I can truly appreciate and understand why. My wife and I reserved the cabin for our anniversary weekend. We heard it was a place to disconnect from the world at large and connect to each other and the outdoors. The cabin made it feel like stepping back to a simpler time and a slower pace. Renee met us at the gate and led us back into the property, a fire already started at the fire pit outside the cabin. Since it was our first time visiting she showed us what we needed to do for lighting and stove use, asked us if we had any questions, provided us with information to reach her if we needed anything, and then wished us a wonderful weekend.A must see is the sunset at the gate. Bring some snacks and drinks and enjoy the gorgeous view, make yourself a little fire there if you want to. My wife and I absolutely loved this place and already started talking about a return trip.

Stonehaven Castle was amazing! My family loved this home and the surrounding forest. It was spacious, comfortable, and unique. I would highly recommend this house for a peaceful get-away or an event. It had everything we would need, including all cooking utensils, family games, wood for the fireplace / firepit. With Stonehaven sitting on over 50 acres, our privacy was complete and the whole family enjoyed hiking around the grounds. I would gladly stay there again.

Rebecca’s home felt cozy and safe, lots of room in the loft for our teenagers. Clean bathroom, peaceful environment. Lovely plants and huge windows with a neat view. Rebecca made us all a homemade breakfast with fresh roasted vegetables and locally made bread from the farmers market. She was kind and attentive. It was a perfect stopover on our road trip. Charming, welcoming, comfortable! This is our second time staying with Barb and Don in Menomonie. We plan to come back whenever we are in the area. Even though we’d been to this amazing hobbit house before — our expectations were exceeded in every way. It was even more beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed than we remembered, This time around we had more time to chat with Barb and Don than we had before — this was easily the highlight of our stay. They are knowledgeable, interesting, and kind. They know everything about the area, have great recommendations and are exceedingly hospitable in every way. Stay here if you get the chance! Beds are comfortable, house is ultra-charming, clean, and inviting. Private full bath is great. The setting is lush and the location couldn’t be better. Oh — and the blueberry coffee cake for breakfast is superb!

Great house! Very interesting architecture and spacious. Beautiful area, quiet and peaceful. Especially liked all the areas available to work as well as enjoy the house, since we come into Springfield for work visits.

The home is beautiful, the wooded seclusion felt like we were in our own home, this was my first trip ever to Rogers Arkansas and i loved everything about it and i would highly recommend the stay to anyone!

Lovely cabin on the lake! We were very comfortable staying for a week. The dock was so peaceful for sitting and relaxing. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Very handy to have the washer and dryer. Thanks so much for hosting us!!

Staying at the Hobbit House was an unforgettable experience. Every detail, from the round door to the cozy interior, felt thoughtfully crafted and true to the theme. It was peaceful, clean, and genuinely charming—like stepping into another world. Whether you're a fan of Tolkien or just looking for a unique escape with the kids, this place is something special. The location is close to tons of outdoor activities, and close enough to civilization to take advantage of that as well. Tom and Cheryl were great hosts and were not only responsive but also proactive in making recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. We would completely recommend it, and we'll likely visit again.

Annie was very responsive and The Meadow is a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family away from the city. The greenery around the property was really beautiful and we had the occasional sighting of the deer 🦌. I loved the open floor setting and every room was properly furnished. The instructions for check in a check out were straightforward and I’ll definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a place to retreat in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house near the Current River in Missouri. The home was spotless and very well-kept—exactly as described. Our host was incredibly kind, responsive, and provided all the information we needed to feel right at home. The house is tucked away in the trees, offering a quiet and peaceful escape that felt perfectly private. It was the ideal spot for a relaxing family getaway. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and comfortable retreat in nature!

We went for quiet and to get away even though my husband helped my sister in law that weekend. It wasn't too far from her so my husband didn't have to drive an hour. We still got to enjoy some time.
