House vacation rentals in Mississippi River

Girl's Trip was a success! Beautiful home, comfortable, peaceful, just as described. The sunrise was breathtaking. Fog filled the sky above the lake making it look as if we were up in a plane - floating on clouds. I would suggest bringing a couple additional rolls of toilet paper and a roll of paper towels (depending on how long your stay is). Those items are supplied: one roll TP per bathroom and one roll of paper towels, once those run out, you run out. We were prepared for this as we read the reviews. The water tastes good if you are one that is concerned on that. There is an ice maker in the freezer. The dishwasher has a few pods to run a cycle or two. Washer and dryer worked well and they supplied a few pods for laundry too. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The large windows are incredible. Smart tvs allow you to stream services that you are subscribed too. WiFi worked excellent. Mother Nature showed us her glory with thunderstorms, sunrises, birds, bats and bunnies!!

This is not the first time I have stayed at Platypus and look forward to my next stay. Danielle etal made me feel comfortable with the beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, delightful pool and promised amenities. Will be reserving 2026 dates as soon as possible!

Beautiful home close to town yet felt secluded in the country. (other than times when events were going on next door, which were not a problem at all.) Great pool area with lots of pool toys, fire pit, seating, hot tub and shade. Comfortable beds and a nice big kitchen, as well as two living rooms too. Pool is down a hill and some stairs, so might be hard for mobility impaired. Lots of wildlife on property, we saw deer, beaver, lizards and a large variety of birds. Host was very responsive. Great home, nice pool, perfect location.

This was by far our favorite stay! It was a beautiful view, a great distance from Branson and we had a great time with the games provided and the pool! This will definitely be our go to spot when we go to Branson for now on! 10/10 recommend staying here!! The view is absolutely breathtaking and it was a cool setup. Look forward to staying again next year when we do a Branson trip!

Rebecca’s place was great! It was in a nice quiet area with a beautiful scene. We felt right at home. I would come back in a heart beat.

This home is absolutely beautiful and the in-ground pool made it very enjoyable❤️. This home is so relaxing and very clean with lots of space. Close to shopping areas in town which saved us on gas. Kitchen is provided with everything you need on a mini vacation. Brent was great to answer all of our questions. Hope to come back with my family someday so my grandchildren can have fun in the pool. Definitely plan to keep this place on my list of very affordable accommodations.

We had the best time here! It was a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The house was beautiful - we especially loved the kitchen and all the windows. Everyone in our group also agreed all the beds were really comfortable. The pool overlooking the lake was a favorite of our family - we were out there multiple times a day. We used the fire pit and taught our son to fish off the dock. Communication with the owners was spot on. They made sure we were having a good time and answered every question we had immediately. We loved our time here, and our son is already asking when we can go back! Thank you Darrick and Brittany for providing such a beautiful place for our family to make birthday memories!

This was our second visit to this home. We celebrated our anniversary last fall and returned last week with our kids and pup. We loved getting to share this place that we've come to love so much! The furniture is extremely comfortable, there is a ton of space to put away your things (including groceries!), and the surroundings are gorgeous. Our very favorite place is the large covered patio. If you're looking for a peaceful escape that's great for a couple or a small family, you have found it. We will be back soon.

Kristi's place was absolutely perfect for our girls trip. The location was less than 30 minutes from everything we wanted to do, secluded enough to unwind after a long day of hiking or digging for crystals or shopping or visiting the bath houses. The house was well stocked and was very comfortable for just hanging out and spending time together. I would 100% recommend staying here!

Was absolutely amazing, so relaxing and quiet. The drive to the location was absolutely beautiful as well. It was so cozy, loved the hot tub.

Daniel’s home was a such beautiful retreat! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and it was wonderful to have a safe place to park our bikes. We LOVED kayaking each morning on beautiful Lake Ann right in the backyard. Daniel’s home is nestled among trees and rocks and the lake view is stunning. We saw a variety of birds, a fox and of course fish. Like many homes in Bella vista, the driveway is steep but Daniel’s clear instructions made parking easy. We would definitely return.

Tamara and Robert have a great cabin in a beautiful wooded area by a lake. They were friendly and attentive but also gave you your privacy and space. The feeling of the cabin and grounds is welcoming, comfortable, relaxing and happy. It had everything that you needed; like a home away from home. Also, if anyone reading this remembers the fun and innocent family vacation days by the lake back in the late 80’s through late 90’s, this place gives you the same vibe. I highly recommend the Mini Metal Moonshine Mansion!

Amazing views with plenty of room for our group of 7! We were in town for a family wedding and enjoyed our stay. Our children will always remember learning to play roulette at the game table and how lucky their grandma was at the game! We saw a deer one morning walk through the yard and enjoyed sitting outside daily. Very responsive and friendly hosts! We will definitely look at staying here again!

I coming back to Rebecca place when I have time. She is a best host I ever had! Helpful, if is any problem but fortunately I didn’t needed any help. It’s my “ second “ home if I needed to runaway for couple days. Rebecca makes sure her guess feels good. I just so lucky I found this place! That’s why her place always booked. Thank you for having me here again!

This little lake front getaway was amazing. It had all the amenities listed, was right on the lake, and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities, and home looked just like the pictures. Michelle was a wonderful host . We will definitely be putting this spot on repeat!!

Couldn’t speak more highly of this place. It was a truly relaxing getaway, and within a few hours we were already talking about planning our next trip back. The owners clearly thought of every little detail to create an amazing experience—they got all the small things right. The property felt incredibly private and peaceful, which made it even easier to unwind. For anyone going to a wedding or event at Top of the Rock, the location was perfect—an easy 15-minute drive without needing to get on the highway, which helped us avoid traffic. The whole place felt like a Ritz-level retreat. We loved the cold plunge, sauna, and hot tub. Fantastic stay—we hope to be back soon!

My family had the best time staying at this house! We had 4 adults and 2 kids (5 and 8 years old). The house itself is beautiful. It looks newly built. We’re a big fishing family and having the dock right there was a huge bonus for us. The water was still a bit too cold to swim, but that didn’t stop the kiddos! They had a blast. The house has extra life jackets, fishing poles, and has kayaks! I know there’s some comments about the neighborhood looking rough compared to the beautiful home being rented, but the neighborhood wasn’t bad at all. We didn’t have any issues with the neighbors. I consider it just a normal “lake property” where there’s a mix of homes, RVs, trailers, etc. It didn’t bother us one bit. Thomas was quick to respond if we had a question. Everywhere we ate was delicious. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay, beautiful peaceful surroundings in an amazing home. We settled in quickly and it was very comfortable. We had an amazing clear night with stars everywhere and a very relaxing time in the hot tub after a day of hiking. Google maps is not accurate so make sure you read the instructions carefully! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful home! The cats were so sweet, adorable and snuggly! Just know they also want to snuggle at night, so you will be woken up a bit ;) Communication was very smooth, easy location to get around. Only okay neighborhood, but I felt safe enough. The home was clean and cozy!

This cabin was a peaceful, private location and we would visit again. Pros: Super private location Amazing views Comfortable furniture Large bathtub Natural light Surprisingly free of pests/evidence of pests indoors Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchenware, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Things to consider: We could not get the wi-fi working, but we're there to unplug, so it wasn't an issue for us. Very open concept, which was lovely as a couple, but would have been uncomfortable for a larger group. Very remote location, bring in everything you'll need - you won't want to leave once you get there. The drive in is unpaved gravel and hilly, just like the hosts say. Not every vehicle/driver can handle it. The mosquitoes are present, especially in the early summer being so close to the river. We expected some bug control (candles, plants, or bug spray) and there was none. You might consider bringing your own. There is a heavily used train track between the cabin and the river.
