Loft vacation rentals in Mississippi River

The entrepreneurial village community is special, full of friendly daytime hubbub. The historic site is spectacular despite the challenging flights of steps up. The climb’s well worth it, but travel light. A two-level lodging arrangement, it was like having two apartments, each with partial “kitchen” (main cooktop and sink on third floor, breakfast bar with drinking water and coffeemaker on second). Each floor offers a comfy queen and 2 single beds plus bathroom, each level in an open plan— great for 2 close families that don’t necessarily require full privacy. Shower on second floor. Spectacular copper tub on third with oversized windows. Views of the water and grounds from many rooms. Lori has done a wonderful job fitting in modern amenities in a stone building that never anticipated plumbing or electrical. The little quirks remind you of where you are, in a mid-1800’s industrial building, without having to sacrifice your comforts. Lori has thought of virtually everything.

Mikes, place is in a great location. Close to restaurants and the *Papa John Sculpture park". It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport. The loft has an open layout, clean with plenty of natural light. It's a very comfortable space easy to access with very nice amenities and on street parking . Mike is a responsive host.

Great Location on Main to walk to all the shops. Above Big Bills Sandwich shop which had great breakfast and Lattes. Little Tokyo across the street had the best Chinese food I had ever had. The place was quite cozy and clean. Had tons of channels on the tv. Parking right by the unit and easy access. The place was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back and stay again.

I can't say enough great things about my stay at the loft. Amy was wonderful and went above and beyond anything I anticipated. The location was a beautiful neighborhood and the loft was so very peaceful. Amy has a warmth to her that is unmatched. My favorite element of this whole stay was Honey, their dog. As an owner of three pooches, it was nice to have a dog that was there for me and greeted me outside each day! If you get the chance, I highly recommend this opportunity!

We enjoyed our stay at Zachary A’s place. It’s very unique and quite cozy with cool furnishings and a wood stove. Zachary was very responsive and everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay again!

Susan was a wonderful host! Susan left yummy pastries for me on the table when I arrived. Susan is very friendly, very responsive and flexible The place is quaint and comfortable. Very peaceful and calming there. The deck is a very peaceful and quiet. There’s so much nature all around. The meadow path is beautiful and I was lucky enough to see a deer in the meadow. I would definite stay with Susan again!

Beautiful and centrally located with nice big windows to take in that fresh KC humidity!!! Hosts were amazing and attended to all my needs (even the late night tv remote questions lol). Definitely would stay again

I would definitely recommend. It was good distance from whatever and wherever I visited. Adorable set up. Amazingly thoughtful. Automatic lights for night, everything was labeled, there were clear instructions, and even blankets for the living room. It was like a home away from home. It was also very secure. With the deadbolt, the outside lock, and knowing there was someone below, I felt much safer than I have on previous trips elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is secluded but the host provided great directions. The apartment was clean and cute! The area is beautiful! I appreciated how well the trails were marked. Before we arrived we asked if there was somewhere we could grill. This host graciously let us use the grill and even set out utensils for us. I highly recommend staying here for a quiet getaway!

This is my second time here—I love this place! Brady is such a great host, super friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and the views are beautiful. So peaceful! I’d recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

The only drawback of Rebecca's loft is the absence of an elevator - which I knew about before I rented the loft. I would rent it again because it was comfortable, clean, versatile, homey and had outstanding views from the front windows. I would have to consider it carefully in the future because my husband and I are older and the steps were a bit steep and thin. Getting luggage up and down was challenging. We really enjoyed our stay at the loft and Rebecca is a delightful young woman.

This was one of the best experiences I had at and Airbnb. The place was so beautiful and looks even better than the pictures. Ashely has great response time and is super easy to get a hold of.

We stayed here after our wedding and it was perfect for us! The loft was so cute and was very peaceful. The host gave very easy instructions and had many food recommendations in a binder in the loft.

5 Stars - Exceptional Stay! This studio apartment in downtown Sour Lake was absolutely perfect. The location is fantastic—quiet, safe, and super convenient to everything in town. The space itself was spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The host went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right, and their communication was top-notch throughout the stay. They were also extremely accommodating, which made the experience even better. You can tell the host truly cares about providing a great stay, and that effort shows in every detail. I felt completely at ease and confident booking here. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Sour Lake—you won’t be disappointed!

Zen is the best host and probably one of best people you’ll ever meet on this planet. Asides having a great place, the extra effort he puts in to cater for guests further makes the experience amazing!
