Brilliant place really lovely, need deeper cleaning between stays my partner does run her cleaning company so we have high standards but old dog hair and lots of dust isn’t the greatest! But the location and property is beautiful

Lovely house and beautiful location for our mother’s 60th celebration family gathering. The beautiful views from the garden, fire pit and hot tub were a great hit. We did two lovely walks from the property - one to a vineyard - and there are some fun cafes/bars in the village as well. Sandra and her husband made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and communication was very quick. I would recommend this property :)

A very comfortable stay for a night away, hot tub was lovely, Yumi was a great host with near immediate responses, kitchen was well equipped with a nice reception area attached so we never felt apart from each other. Would recommend

We absolutely loved our stay such much so we didn't want to leave. Sitting & having a few drinks with the family in the beautiful garden after a day out was very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend - could not fault our stay. Thank you Crystal x

A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

Absolutely stunning place. Like a super luxurious safari lodge! Whole area is beautiful and everything in the lodge is state of the art. We stayed with our 3 kids who fought over who would get the canopy bed in the lounge. Loved the hot tub, had a fab bbq and slept like babies. Spent a day at west wittering beach which is close by and felt like we were abroad. Sarah’s lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She even let us stay all Sunday as they had no-one arriving at no extra cost. Who does that? We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here as a family for a special birthday treat. The pool was fantastic and clean, and kids loved it! House was warm and inviting. Beds were comfortable with excellent pillows! The house is a bit tired in places but doesn't affect a short stay. None of the tv's work, no signal at all so seemed strange to have 4. This was the first air bnb we have stayed in where there wasnt a few tea bags to start us off, and the first time we didnt bring any - as you can tell, only small issues. Overall, a fabulous stay - would recommend!

Very welcoming hosts. Wonderful place - comfortable in lovely quiet location very handy to explore the delights of Chichester harbour and West Wittering beach. Loved the Crown and Anchor pub at Dell Quay. Also enjoyed lovely walk from Crab and Lobster pub in Sidlesham around RSPB reserve at Pagham harbour. We hope to return.

We loved our stay in this unusual property set in such a beautiful location. Gordon and Marya were great hosts. Very friendly and responsive if we needed something but respected our privacy at the same time. It was easy to find and was exactly what was described in the listing. Our dog felt at home and settled quickly and loved the beach walks and discovering the South Downs. Thank you for making us feel so at home.

Tina was super friendly, kind and helpful. We felt it was home away from home and enjoyed preparing some delicious food in the nice kitchen We loved walking our dog in the common where there were deer, squirrels and beautiful bird life. We were even lucky to try the Neighbour’s free range fresh eggs from their rescued chickens who have a second chance at life. Badger’s Rest’s beds are very comfortable and it is very peaceful for sleeping. That was our experience. The coffee machine was appreciated also the washing machine. We were at our last stage of our 6 month holiday of England and this was a soft place to land & to catch up on business and prepare ourselves for going home to Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you Tina for your care. Loved this cottage. It had furnishings and decor entirely in keeping the age and character of the cottage. We were warned about low ceilings and the steep stairs. Kitchen is well equipped and opens on to the back garden with seating area. The separate dining area has a table cut from a slice of timber. There are 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom has both a roll top bath and a walk in shower. Washing machine very cleverly is tucked away next to the bathroom. Bosham is a quiet, pretty village with a frontage to the sea channel. There are 2 pubs ( both recommended),a couple of cafes and an arts and crafts centre. The Church is also worth a visit. Nearby are the seaside villages of East and West Wittering. Parking beside the West Wittering beach is expensive so plan to stay most of the day. Chichester is accessible by bus (no 56) from Bosham. All in all a great place for a few days stay.

Had a great stay. Unique, non-generic place. Like the old days of Airbnb :) location is perfect , has most everything you can need for a stay of 1 to 3 people. Great value, no hesitations to recommend

Loved our stay at Lavender Cottage - it is so cosy and homely and in a stunning location. Our dog, Lyra, enjoyed the garden and the neighbouring polo field! Comfy bed and great log burner - a fabulous place for a short break.

We loved our stay at Chris’ place. The location is perfect for exploring the Sussex countryside (Petworth, Ridgeview etc all nearby). The house was clean and well equipped, and Chris was communicative throughout. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the grind with friends or family - with the added bonus of a village pub in spitting distance!

Aimee’s place was lovely, exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend with the girls. The house itself is really cosy with comfortable beds and a great living area. The surrounding area is brilliant for walking to pubs, a little supermarket, and we even strolled along the waterside to a gorgeous pub in Havant (1.5hrs but well worth it!). Thank you Aimee, we’d love to come back another time.

We stayed for work so was not there for much of the time, it was very clean with everything you needed. Bed was very comfy, only one thing I would suggest is better pillows as they were a bit lumpy, a small thing as everything else was really good. Would stay here again

My partner and I had a lovely time staying here, there was a lot to do all within walking distance, and the accomodation itself was absolutely lovely. Will definitely be booking again!

This was our first time in Petworth (having enjoyed other small towns across Sussex), and Emily's lovely cottage was a great base for walks in the surrounding countryside, a visit to Petworth House and just curling up with some holiday reading. In the town/vicinity, we particularly enjoyed walking in Petworth Park, up to Lodsworth and across the Shimmings Valley. The holiday decorations at Petworth House were beautiful, and the selection of wine at Hennings (literally down the street) was great to accompany home cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. The cottage was extremely stylish and comfortable, the bedroom particularly cozy with super-soft linens, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Emily was communicative and flexible with dropping off bags, which made it easier to enjoy the v limited daylight at this time of year. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this South Downs idyll. Our son loved seeing donkeys and pigs, eating strawberries and watching the tractors plough the field. The hosts were kind and attentive throughout our stay.

We stayed at Christine’s chalet for a long weekend and couldn’t recommend more. First of all it felt so homely but with the added delight that it was so well decorated and clean that we felt so looked after. The garden is beautiful so we spent most of our time there, having our toddler with us we found that the garden was so suited for him as there was plenty to play with and everything was prepared in a way for him to find little treasures and toys in the garden, absolutely amazing! We don’t usually find such a personal and caring touch in places we go and we thought that was an outstanding factor. The rest of the house is perfect in any way, sweet and romantic but also super clean and functional with all things you might need for your comfort, nothing was left to be missed. I am a real flower lover and so I was so happy to find that Christine had put fresh flowers in almost every room for us to find in the chalet. Also plenty of board games! All was 10/10 thank you Christine!
