Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Devon District

My family and I had a wonderful stay for a wedding last weekend. The house is great place to relax and just a short walk from the beach. The garden is really secure for dogs and has a side gate with a hose to wash off the sand after fun at the beach. Nic and Rick sent loads of really helpful information before our stay and were flexible with timings for check in and out. They are so friendly, are very responsive to any questions and left some lovely personal touches for our arrival (scones and jam, eggs, bread and milk!). Thank you for a great stay. We had a lovely time and hope to be back soon!!

This is a beautiful cottage tucked away among lush woods and a stream. There are lots of footpaths on your doorstep and Porlock is a short walk away for shops / cafes etc. There's also a play park nearby. The location is a great base for exploring the local area. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a lovely sun room. All was clean and the hosts were helpful and responsive. We really appreciated the personalised welcome goodies! The maps and other local info came in handy. We had car trouble while were there and the host was so kind and understanding, which made a stressful situation easier. I would recommend this property and thanks again to Denys and Carole for having us.

Kate and Ali were very welcoming hosts with a fantastic decorative eye! The space is wonderful and the photos don’t give justice to the space or quirkiness which was right up our street. They were thoughtful with a welcome pack and provisions for us to be starting off with, especially the eggs! They were readily available with batteries when we needed them and provided lots of helpful input about the surrounding area. We loved the alpacas and the hens and were sad that we only spent time with Spiderman on our first day as he kept his distance thereafter. We really enjoyed the space which worked perfectly for our party, with access to a WC/bathroom on each level. Thanks again, Kate and Ali

Before the trip she sent us some information for things in the area, places to eat etc, was very helpful. Lovely little hide away, nice and private. Just as the pictures showed, Beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing stay. The barn was beautiful and spacious and perfect for socialising with friends or family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, our only gripe was that we wish we had booked longer!!

Laura’s place is an absolute gem! It is so tastefully designed and well appointed. The location itself is very special too. Everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. I loved lighting a fire at night and looking out to the garden in the morning. Laura is super warm and welcoming—knowledgeable about the area too. This stay is one of the best in my books to date! Absolutely worth a visit.

Loved staying in Ken's place. Lovely location close to everything we wanted to do - yet far enough away from busy roads that it was super quiet and peaceful. Ken was very helpful with recommendations and the house was very comfortable and well equipped. Highly recommended.

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . Very neat flat in the middle of Woolacombe. Pubs, restaurants, coffee houses and shops all within short walking distance. The are has so many walks and running routes as well as great swimming and surfing so great for active folk. Will definitely look to see if available again as this place is perfect for the area

Debbie and her partner are wonderful hosts. Their annex is ideal for 2 people that want a quiet, private space in a gorgeous part of Devon. The patio and garden are gorgeous... Especially on a sunny morning.

A lovely space to stay. One very large spacious room with a luxurious bathroom and separate shower. Fully fitted kitchen with everything you need. Very clean with good towels and bedding. Lovely quiet area but close to moors, Lynmouth and Lynton. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again. Thank you Carolynn.

Clare and Mike welcomed both me and my new wife with a bottle of champagne on arrival and ensured that we had a lovely honeymoon by letting us know if we needed anything, would highly recommend visiting the farm house as it is so close to the beach and was even able to enjoy a few sunsets from the window for cosy evenings!

Christina was a friendly and helpful host. The house and gardens are beautiful with wonderful views of the church and surrounding countryside. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and spacious and we appreciated the breakfast of cereals, fresh croissants, butter, jam and orange juice. A peaceful and relaxing stay. Loved our stay. Beautiful apartment, absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Loved the area it was in- walkable distance from the High Street in Minehead yet very peaceful with great walks from the doorstep through streets of beautiful houses and amazing views. Was visiting our daughter and didn’t realise Minehead was such a nice town with beautiful places such as Lynmouth and Porlock pretty near. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay

Myself and two friends travelled from London and had an absolutely amazing well needed break! The property was absolutely beautiful and the location. We walked to Looe following the recommendations and had an amazingly mindful walk in the natural beauty of Cornwall. We are already planning our next trip back! Rob is a brilliant host, they property was better than the pictures and the communication was excellent

We had an amazing stay at Coombe Villa! The house was spotless, spacious, and perfect for our group of six friends. We loved the sea views, the games room, and the cinema setup, which made for some really fun evenings. The location is ideal, with beaches, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk away. Simon and Charlie were super responsive and helpful with any questions, which made everything really easy. It had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the welcoming touches – including three bottles of wine that set the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, not just with all the essential utensils and appliances, but even stocked with some food items – a rare and thoughtful detail that made cooking a pleasure. Beautiful house, thoughtfully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. It is also huge so lots of space to make yourself at home. All appliances, white goods etc in perfect working order and all furniture comfortable and tidy, linens and towels very clean etc. The house throughout was very clean. Parking permits available on arrival so very easy and we had no issues with parking during our week long stay. Easy to walk to the seafront, shopping mall, aquarium etc and we enjoyed the walks. Very small asks would be to provide more dinner plates, side plates and bowls. As a family of 5 we went through everything in a day but it’s not enough to fill the dishwasher so no break from washing up on hols! A few basics like salt, pepper, oil would be welcomed to help with home cooking. As I said very small asks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home away from home for anyone travelling to Plymouth.

Just spent a lovely week at Jan's in a party of 13. Beautiful house and gardens in a very peaceful location. Garden was huge and had wonderful views of the lake. House was equipped with everything you need, even down to shampoo and extra bath sheets for the jacuzzi! Will definately be visiting again. Thank you Jan.
