Lovely short stay in Bude. Lesley greeted us upon arrival and was welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was well decorated and spotlessly clean. Felt like staying in a high end beach hut, just the right feel for a few days by the beach. Surroundings were peaceful with superb views of the countryside. Really convenient for trips into Bude town, would definitely recommend.

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

Peaceful and quiet location with sheep and alpaca in the neighbouring fields. Sitting outside the shepherds hut we could see the sea in the distance - same view from the hot tub. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything that we needed for our short break.

Rosie’s Retreat was absolute heaven. Quiet and private but close to Bude, pubs and beaches, the hut made for the perfect getaway. The view out over the valley was gorgeous, even in the rain sitting inside with the doors open was a delight. Lucy’s instructions were easy to follow and clear, important to get you out to the hut along a small country lane. It was clean and every detail was thought of. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing hideaway.

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful and remote yet within easy distances of some great places. The hot tub was a big hit with our 3 year old. Absolutely loved it. Thank you

Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

My grandson and I spent a lovely few days at the Rock Shack. It was very easy to find following Johns' Google map link. There was plenty of parking and the Rock Shack did not dissapoint. It was beautiful and peaceful with the sounds of birds and the stream. Everything was lovely and homely with plenty of space for the two of us. John was very responsive as my lack of technical knowledge meant I couldn't get the t.v to work, but it was sorted very quickly. The Rock Shack is in easy distance to Minehead, Watchet beach, Blue Anchor and Dunster Castle. I would definately recommend staying. Thank you John and Jill for an amazing stay.

A great little secluded hideaway very close to the sea and coastal paths. Bed was super comfy too. Lots of places to visit nearby including quaint harbours, such as Mevagissey, for fish and chips and/or Cornish ice-creams and of course the fabulous Lost Gardens of Heligan are a great place to spend an entire day. Our hostess Jules was quick and friendly when responding to my queries too. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, Clive went the extra mile to make us feel welcome by putting up some birthday decorations and leaving us some treats for when we arrived. It's a perfect place to get away and unwind in nature, we were always surrounded by animals whether it was Norman the cat visiting during a bbq, hanging out with the goats, or watching the ducks drift about in the stream while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you very much to Clive and Nikki for hosting us. I cannot recommend Kingfisher enough, we truly had an amazing time :)

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Even better than the pictures. After having stressful Jons as a nurse and firefighter it’s amazing at how relaxed and distressful it was. Having the bath outside you don’t feel overlooked or watched in. Andrew and his wife has thought of everything, all I would say is take a tripod for your phone as you will want to take so many pictures. Would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend to family and friends

Our stay at Henry's cabin was relaxing and peaceful. Henry was friendly upon arrival and gave us recommendations on local places to go. The cabin was clean and the bed and sofas were comfortable. It was perfect for our chilled weekend away. Thank you.

Just a brief stay at Sun Drift, but it was lovely. Fantastic rural location just a short drive to beautiful beaches and the amenities in Braunton. The cabin is located on Susie and Stuart’s drive, but they were very respectful of our privacy. Cabin is very stylish but comfy and welcoming

Wow! What an incredible stay. We are so happy with our stay. Everything in the property you’d need to have a relaxing home-like stay. The host recommended visiting Covelly which we loved. The hot tub was a great touch as well. Thank you x

Fantastic experience start to finish, and lucked out massively with the good weather for birthday celebrations! Couldn’t be more pleased with how peaceful the location and atmosphere was. Thank you to the hosts for being so attentive and on hand at every opportunity. Every little touch and detail was just as described/pictured. Gained some beautiful memories thanks to this get away and all its special features. Wasn’t aware it was next to a property however you wouldn’t even notice, never bothered us or saw anyone. Would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone i know! x

Wow - the most beautiful cabin! The owners really have thought of everything, even a toy for our dog 🥰. The garden is enclosed which was perfect for our dog to run around. The hot tub was really hot on arrival, the bath and shower facilities are stunning. We will 100% be visiting again.

We absolutely loved our 4 day stay at the Little Charred Hut, the location is idyllic right in the middle of the woods, near to a babbling brook, it's completely private with no neighbours or passing traffic, just the sound of the birds! The Hut itself has everything you need, it's very cosy with an extensive verandah (with 2 comfy rocking chairs) giving a feel of more sheltered space, which was great as the weather wasn't perfect the whole time. The surrounding area is so beautiful, and an easy drive away from so many beautiful places to explore. We'd highly recommend this gorgeous little place for an intimate stay in the midst of nature.

Ideal "off grid location to get back to nature in a comfortable and cosy cabin. We did not leave the site with wildlife , stream , surrounded by trees just became emersed in the woodland. If you are happy smelling of smoke and bathing in a cold stream plunge pool this is the place for you. Just beware ticks walking in the woods (Vaseline works a treat for removal.) Will definitely be returning. The accommodation is amazing. So peaceful, quiet and beautiful. I would highly recommend here for anyone. My husband and I very much enjoyed watching the view and having a chance to reset and just be!

The location was great for the beach. We had quick access but it was far from the crowds and the cabin was quiet, with little to hear but the waves and the birds.

The best glamping experience. À very cosy snug to chill out, just what we needed. Love Sally’s sense of details to make your stay practical and enjoyable. À kind touch with some fresh milk in the fridge. 1st star for the bedding, so comfy.

Spent a couple nights here for my boyfriends birthday & it did not disappoint. The hut was very quirky, peaceful & relaxing location, with a cute little alpaca & goat farm on site. There was a small shop with snacks & even had goat feed to purchase, with an honesty box for payment. The hot tub was lovely, was ready for us when we arrived & instructions of how to relight it to get warm again. Kindling & logs all available for the bbq and the fire inside, which made it feel very romantic & cosy. perfect little spot to just get away & do nothing. would recommend.

Amazing ! We absolutely loved staying here got greeted and made to feel very welcome , we also greeted with with little breakfast goodies . The bed was very comfortable and a great size. You’re also provided with washing up products, handwashing and showering products. The place was very private and you had your own space which is great. Would 100% stay again and definitely recommend!

The Tiny House very cute, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Wonderful walk to the sea and many choices for bicycling. Hosts were above and beyond, offering bicycle tours, rendering minor first aid after a cycling mishap and a delicious meal not normally provided. Thanks to all
