Townhome vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

We spent a wonderful 12 days at Luca’s place. The garden and pool area was even more beautiful than we expected and we were thrilled with our little side courtyard and hammock. The house was nice inside and adequate for our needs. The walk to the beach is easy for fit adults and older kids, but a little challenging for younger children. Consider renting a golf cart if you don’t have a car. We appreciated how we were close to groceries stores, coffee shops and restaurants and yet slightly removed from the nightlife noise. We would absolutely stay again if we get a chance to come back!

Courtney’s place was in the perfect location. No more than a 10-minute walk to great food and the beach. It is far enough to be quiet and peaceful, while close enough to get everything you need. Wonderful experience here and Courtney is super communicative throughout.

We have an incredible stay at Villa Tranquila. The pool and patio area are private, spacious and offer a stunning view of Playa Hermosa. The house was very clean with spotless tile flooring throughout, large en-suite bathrooms, very well stocked kitchen and supplies. Deborah was quick to respond to things that came up - the safe was repaired quickly and an empty propane tank was replaced within minutes of reporting it. Deborah gave us ideas on activities and restaurants and Fernando the property manager is friendly and cheerful. I agree with others that a 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed for steep streets. We will recommend this property to others and will stay here again if we ever return to Costa Rica.

The unit is close to everything. Grocery store is just a short walk, the beach a short walk and lots of restaurants to pick from. Every evening we had margaritas on the beach watching the beautiful sunset. Tamarindo is one of our favorite places in the world and this was a good place to stay with a pool, beach towels, washer and dryer, good kitchen and comfortable living area. Note to anyone renting this unit, if you don't do stairs realize there are three stories of tiled steps to the top master bedroom, which we didn't mind even though we are seniors as it's good exercise. It's a great bedroom with AC and a balcony and bathroom. We were very comfortable there. The rental agency is super helpful and quickly responsive. We had our transport from the airport set up with them and when our shuttle was late, we just called Kattia and she took care of it promptly. Even an email on Sunday morning was answered within minutes. Ellen is a person you can trust. The location is fantastic.

The location is divine, in the afternoon we could see many monkeys, the pool is very pleasant. We had a great time! :)

Great stay in Tamarindo. Good option away all of the business and in a more peaceful location. Communication was fast and easy.

Can’t beat this location for proximity to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops and surfboard rental. The accommodations are comfortable with a great yard and pool. We really enjoyed our stay. Alex was very responsive, a welcoming host who even helped us out with our laundry. The parking is secure. We can’t wait to come back again!

Kim's place was absolutely breathtaking and the view from the balcony is stunning. We had everything we needed and we felt super comfortable and at home. A minor issue with the lightbulbs in the kitchen that Kim was quick to correct and make sure that we had a resolution. Thank you so much for that. All in all a beautiful place to spend a quiet vacation with the family and enjoy spectacular views.

Loved our stay here! The view of the ocean was amazing. Location felt safe and peaceful. Our kids loved having 2 pools to play in. Host was very responsive to messages and questions! Would definitely recommend.

Had an amazing stay! Josue was incredibly proactive and helpful throughout, always keeping us informed and making sure everything went smoothly. His recommendations were spot-on! The location was super central—right by all the main spots and great restaurants. The only minor drawback was the steep uphill walk to the villa. It’s doable on foot, but can feel like a lot after a night out—I’d recommend renting a golf cart if you’re not up for the climb. Also, the water pressure in the first-floor bedroom was a bit weak, but aside from that, it was a wonderful place!

The place is just like the photos, everything is clean and impeccable. The pool is a bit small and deep for children, but if they know how to swim, there is no major problem. I would definitely stay at the same place again.

The place is relatively new, it's super comfortable, we loved the layout and decor. It's a special area for families, we look forward to returning soon.

Amazing place to stay! Kitchen is excellent and has lots of appliances. Unit has nice decks to sit outside on and has an awesome pool! Rooms are also great. Would recommend staying here to anyone as it is a good location and everything is walking distance!

This was an absolutely villa located in the very friendly and walkable Las Catalinas resort community. The resort staff greeted us with young coconuts to sip, escorted us to our villa (and sent our luggage by cart), and gave us a thorough overview of the offerings in the area. The concierge desk was easily reachable through apps and gave flawless service arranging tours, restaurant reservations, whatever we needed! The resort offers plenty of restaurant and recreation options, and unexpected amenities like being able to borrow the electric vehicle for two hours at bo charge. The private beach had soft black sand and the entire property was extremely well-groomed. The villa was immaculate, beautifully designed and maintained. My only complaint was we could not figure out how to turn off the somewhat loud courtyard fountain, but it became white noise as we grew accustomed to it. I would highly recommend this unit and Las Catalinas as a restaurant destination!

Kathleen’s place is really beautiful. The views from the decks are amazing. The kitchen was great. Everything you needed. New shiny appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well in the bedrooms and the main floor was the perfect temp with the ocean breezes. Great showers with plenty of hot water. We loved being right on the beach. It is a big place where we were all able to find our own place to be. The beach is lovely, good waves for boogie boarding and jumping waves. There are kayaks to use which is nice as well. Great restaurants on the beach that you can walk to on the beach. We went to the Beach House and it was delicious! I highly recommend Kathleen’s place!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. The doors open right up and make the unit feel very spacious, and there are butterflies, birds and flowers to view from the patio. We also appreciated the fruit that was left for us. An easy walk to the beach and a few restaurants. As others have mentioned, the roads in the area are quite rough and it was good to have a 4x4. We walked to Playa Guiones (where there are more restaurants, etc.) during the day but thought it would be tricky at night due to the distance and route options. We found the mattress quite firm but that’s personal preference. Nice pool and surrounding area. Overall a great stay and beautiful grounds.

I highly recommend Jeremy's place, very cozy and well equipped. We had a problem on New Year's and he still helped us and solved it on that date. Don't hesitate on booking this place!

Jeff is a fantastic Airbnb host! The condo was spacious, secure, and in an unbeatable location, just a short walk to the beach and great local restaurants. I especially appreciated the beach towels and his thoughtful recommendations. This place made for a perfect vacation. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week in CR! One of our best vacations! The location of the condo unit was perfect - next to the nicest pool. It felt like a small neighbourhood community where everyone’s friendly, sociable and shares information. Outside the porch is a huge nance fruit tree that dropped fruits that look like golden berries but have a weird taste. The complex staff come by regularly to pick them up and eat them, and it also attracted iguanas so we got to see a few big ones up close. They’re cautious around people so they don’t come too close. The sound of all the different bird calls in the early morning was incredible. Sometimes you can hear monkeys in the distance during the night. The highlight of our trip was the sunset catamaran snorkelling booze cruise. We would have gone twice if time permitted. We’ll have to come back since in a week we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to. The owners and their local guy Luis are amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amy's. Her place is the best place to stay in Ocotal. Very close to beach. Several days, we found ourselves alone on the beach. Her place is just a few steps from pool yet private with all the beautiful gardens. It is also is very close to Father Roosters to grab something to eat or drink. Access to the two clubs was also nice. Ocotal is a quiet place to stay but offers easy access to everything in Coco. We got around by golf cart. We stayed an entire month. At the end of the first two weeks cleaning lady came. She cleaned everything including rooms we hadn't gone into. She left the place spotless. The place had everything you need for an extended stay. Beds where very comfortable. Amy was very responsive to our question, always got back to us quickly. If headed that way again, we will most definitely stay there again. Amy is a great person with a wonderful rental property. My wife and I highly recommend this place

Andreas place was absolutely stunning! It is tucked away off the main street and is so close to some amazing restaurants. There are plenty of friendly cats around the Airbnb & we even got to see howler monkeys when we were in the pool. Andrea was super responsive and helped us with an early check in and arranged a right for us to the airport for our early flight. Would highly recommend!
