The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

Wonderful place, Andres is a great host as well. It’s located in a small, quiet, and beautiful part of town. Located nearby is a cool pizza restaurant/treehouse and a small market. Within short driving distance are multiple beautiful beaches. The hotel itself was very clean and beautiful. The restaurant serves delicious food and cocktails. Andre’s was always attentive and had a smile. Wonderful place for those who want a beautiful and quiet getaway.

Suzy and Dan are a class act. They were very helpful and engaging. Had a wonderful time at their lovely inn. It’s located very close to the small town Nuevo Arenal and about 45 mins from all the attractions at Arenal. A nice place to stay if one wants to experience the natural surroundings

My stay at Casa Mapache was extraordinary, undoubtedly the best Airbnb experience I've had in Guanacaste. The rooms are simply amazing, meticulously designed, and offer unparalleled comfort. The common areas are impeccable, showcasing an exceptional level of attention to detail. The ease of getting to this place is noteworthy, ensuring a seamless experience from the very beginning. The order of the place is evident, creating a welcoming and organized atmosphere that significantly contributes to the overall quality of the stay. The personalized attention from the owners, especially Ygal and his charming wife, was the icing on the cake. Our stay in Upala was peaceful and full of beautiful surroundings! The cook, Dinia, was so welcoming and accommodating! The pool was clean and my kids favorite part! Probably could put a weather strip at the bottom of the sliding cabin doors to help keep bugs out but otherwise the cabin and sleeping hearing the rain on the metal roof each night was so memorable!

Joanne and Simon are fantastic hosts. The hotel is very cosy, and the room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed. The hosts provided us with good local recommendations (for both food and activities). The breakfast included was lovely, and we saw Toucans from the terrace. Would stay again and would strongly recommend.

This was a really cool place to stay. There's only a few cabins available so if you're thinking of going, book quickly. Very private, clean, and peaceful. Service with a smile (even if you lock yourself out of your room in the evening 😊). They have a great restaurant onsite with a delicious brunch menu. The beach is a good 15 -25 min walk (depending on the path chosen), but it's a nice walk, between the mangroves, howling monkeys, iguanas, and the rest of the ecosystem Costa Rica has to offer, it'll only feel like a couple of minutes. Btw, you'll get to see most of it from your cabin too. Restaurants are also 15min walk on average. Avellana is up and coming, and if you're looking for a 5 star all inclusive hotel with all you can eat buffet, party around the pool, and bottomless margaritas, this isn't the place for you... it might open your eyes to a new way of traveling and experiences though. (if you know, you know!) I highly recommend Soul Shine! Super friendly host & staff!!!!

We stayed here two years in a row and love the place for its proximity to the beach and the pool access. The property is absolutely beautiful and Kim is a wonderful host. Our time at the Fenix has been thoroughly amazing - we will definitely be back one day!

My stay was great !! I even made friends with the other guests and it was close to everything!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. It was easy to find, has parking, and the location is so close to to the beach. It was really nice using the provided beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards. We also really enjoyed using the common refrigerator and kitchen. The breakfast every morning was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I were very satisfied, the house was spacious, in very good condition, the sheets and the house in general were very clean. The location of the excellent house very close to the most beautiful beaches and shopping centers. Super recommended, the attention of the owner is very kind and flexible.
