Beach house vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

Words cannot describe Gabby’s house, it was AMAZING! For prior vacations, we have stayed in houses in Playa Carrillo, Samara, and Quepos and Casa Del Sol by-far tops ALL of those houses. From the million dollar view, to the quality of the build/house, to the AWESOME DECOR, to the on-site hosts (Henry and Zeidy), ALL of it was top notch! When you’re in the backyard/in the pool, of course you feel like you’re at the beach, but that continues inside with all of the homey beach house decor! And did I mention the AC??? Ice cold, perfect for coming in from a long day fishing or beach! Next mention is Henry and Zeidy, UNBELIEVABLY welcoming and attentive, yet they know how to respect privacy. If you’ve never stayed at a house with daily cleaning, it’s a GAME CHANGER. Any issue or request, taken care of immediately. And not to mention Zeidy’s cooking! We had 3 lunches and 2 dinners prepared by Zeidy, simply delicious! We are even talking about booking again during the dry season!

We were looking forward a remote location to settle for some months. This was a great sanctuary to be alone and explore the empty beach. The WiFi was very good , even when other local services were unavailable. The neighbour made us delicious food when requested. A great adventure.

Casa Samara was described as family friendly, and it sure was! The kids *loved* the pool and we could walk right out the front gate to the beach. It was about a 25 minute walk (with kids) to downtown Samara. The hosts were so responsive when we extended our stay and needed some clean sheets. All of the rooms had fans and all of the beds had bug nets. 💜

5 Stars – Best Airbnb I’ve Stayed In! This place was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent—just 50 yards from the beach, which made it incredibly convenient to enjoy the ocean every day. The home itself was spotless, with a beautiful pool and a well-equipped, modern kitchen. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Vidal was amazing—super helpful, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Hands down, this is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Great place to stay! We loved the jungle feel at casa abejas and the salt water pool was amazing.

Views were stunning with an infinity pool. Huge kitchen and bedrooms. Beautiful home.

The best review I can give is that is is a place I would stay at again and this Airbnb is one of those. The house was beautiful, the views fantastic, the location was close to everything we needed and the host, Lia, went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. She had groceries delivered since we were arriving later in the day. Her recommendations on local spots were right on and she arranged a chef to cook for us on our last night and the meal was wonderful ( highly recommend it), Like I said, I can hardly wait until our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Mono Feliz! The villa had everything we needed to have a relaxing, peaceful stay in Costa Rica. The beach, beach club, shops, restaurants, and town were all in walking distance. After enjoying the day with all the area had to offer, it was especially nice to come back to the villa to dip in the pool. Hosts, Jeff and Gina, were attentive to our needs along with onsite management, Justin. Pura Vida!

Our stay at Soliel was beyond wonderful. We arrived during the beginning of the rainy season and warm/muggy. The plunge pool was the perfect antidote to getting too warm and keeping relaxed. Nathan and Jacqui were proactive and made sure we had whatever we needed. The space itself was very tastefully decorated and well outfitted. Just beautiful and a wonderful landing spot for anyone who values excellent lodging within walking distance of an adorable small town.

Ronni’s communication and responsiveness was A1. Even before the official booking Ronni was attentive and detailed in their responses about questions we had before selecting this space. It was also nice to have someone resolve any challenges (not many) we had with the place!

I came to this beautiful place after the passing of my dad, just trying to find a little peace after a really hard moment—and this home was exactly what my heart needed. Surrounded by nature and right by the most beautiful Carrillo beach, it felt like a little pocket of calm and healing. The house itself is peaceful, super comfortable, and even better than the pictures. And Matthias! wow. He was truly spectacular. His communication was top-notch—kind, responsive, and thoughtful from start to finish. I’m so grateful for this space and for the way everything came together. Thank you, Matthias, for helping create such a meaningful and peaceful experience. I’ll never forget it.

We had such a magical stay here. From the moment we booked, the communication with the host was seamless—responsive, kind, and super helpful. The house itself is stunning—every detail thoughtfully designed with high-end touches and impeccable taste. It’s fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, yet still feels like a peaceful retreat tucked into the jungle. We woke up to monkeys playing in the trees and fell asleep to the sounds of nature. It’s the perfect balance of privacy and proximity—just a short walk to the beach, but completely immersed in nature. Everything was spotless, and the host checked in a few times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Would return in a heartbeat!

This is a great place even if you never left the property it's such an enjoyable place to be we have watched the monkeys eat mangoes from the trees the rain in the evening and enjoyed the pool during the day the beach is a 3 minute drive and the home is absolutely amazing wouldn't change a thing.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this home. Super clean and quick responses when I had questions. The howler monkey family that would sometimes visit were an added bonus. Would highly recommended this home.

What a gem. To see that view when you walk in the door is amazing. It’s a beautiful house with everything you may need for your stay. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the pool is exactly like the pictures with warm water and bar stools to gaze out over that stunning view. The AC & fans do a great job of keeping you cool as a retreat from outside. We also loved the use of the beach chairs, towels and beach toys for the whole family. Our 3 small children loved it! We will be back!

We loved this beautiful and spacious home, perfect for our group of 6! The pool & covered outdoor lounge area were favorites, and the huge comfortable beds with well-stocked bathrooms (including unique open-ceiling showers) made for a wonderful stay. The private gated entrance also provided great security. A few practical notes: the final stretch to the house is very steep and unpaved, so I'd recommend having a 4WD vehicle with high clearance. We experienced some water outages due to storm damage—our first night into the next afternoon & a few hours another day. Unfortunately, our last night was cut short by a flash flood requiring us to evacuate. However, the hosts' friends responded incredibly quickly, helping us leave the house safely and covering our meal and hotel costs that night. Despite challenging weather circumstances, the hosts' response was exemplary and we're grateful for their support. The house is stunning and we'd consider staying again, likely outside rainy season!

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful casita of cally and scott. On the terrace with the pool opposite the rainforest and yet central in Samara and not far from the beach, you could relax wonderfully. And listen to the howler monkeys and birds. Even a hummingbird came to the property. Cally and Scott were super accessible. Her explanations regarding the locks etc. were simple and good. Overall, we found a few too many rules for our taste, but that also made everything clear. The decor of the house is tasteful, which we loved.

Everything was perfect.

This place was pure magic. Close to playa pelada and some great restaurants and the little bodega store. Our two families loved the separate living spaces that were just interactive enough. The concierge service was a great help in getting local recommendations and booking excursions. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay! The layout of the home is great, and it was very clean! The cleanest Airbnb we’ve stayed in. Home is a short walk to the beach. Beach wasn’t crowded at all, we loved our stay here!

We had a great stay and hope to go back. Here are a few of our highlights: - House was perfect for a week long vacation in Avellanas for the 4 of us (parents plus two teenage sons). The kitchen was well stocked, the AC kept things cool at night, and we loved having AM coffee on the patio listening to birds and monkeys. - We very heavily used the community pool. We were the only ones staying in our group of homes around the pool so we had it to ourselves each day. It was cleaned daily. - It was a long walk to the beach (20min) so we often drove to the maintained parking lot by Lola's and paid the modest $4. (The fee helps maintain the beach access so it seems well-worth paying each day.) Because it was still walkable, we'd often walk home, leaving the kids with the car to finish up a surf session... it was nice to have that flexibility. - The gated community with guards felt very secure, but the overall area also felt very safe for our 5-7 mile runs, evening strolls, and more!

We enjoyed our stay at Skawak Sanctuary in Nosara. It was very peaceful sitting on the porch hearing all the sounds of nature including the ocean. We waited anxiously to see the monkeys who didn’t come over by us until the last day but we saw the whole troop of 15+. We enjoyed walking Playa Guiones and there were many great places to eat. We very much appreciated the tea kettle, coffee and a French press. Sunrise coffee shop was a personal favorite with amazing bowls. We did yoga at the Bodhi Tree 5 minutes away almost everyday. We are big yogis and the selection of classes and quality of teachers was amazing The place was hard for us to find when we arrived in the dark in pouring rain, but we made it with the directions provided. As noted in other reviews there is no laundry onsite and the bed was a bit too hard for my wife although fine for me. We came during the rainy season and the rain on the metal roof at night became quite loud all part of the jungle experience.
