Such a gorgeous little spot in the heart of Guiones. Super close to the beach, restaurants and shops, but still tranquil! Check-in was so easy and clear, the communication was immediate, and though I am familiar with Nosara, the host offered a lot of information on the area and resources for potential needs (tours, transport etc.). The place was beautiful, loved the open-air kitchen - fully stocked with all of the appliances and kitchenware one might need. The room and bathroom were immaculate, beautifully designed - loved the bay window day bed! Overall had a wonderful stay, and would absolutely stay here again.

A lovely location and a super nice host. Jessica met us on arrival, chatted over making us coffee, got to know us. The house was spacious and very comfortable, a good kitchen dining area and lovely patio. We saw howler monkeys close up and toucans in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had an unforgettable experience at Fede's beautiful property. It was a family trip with several children, who enjoyed every corner to the fullest. As a mother, I felt completely calm thanks to the security of the place, which is felt in every detail. The proximity to the sea is a gift: the sound of the waves accompanied us like a natural lullaby throughout our stay. One of the treasures of the place is a majestic Guanacaste tree, a national symbol of Costa Rica. Its shade is a delightful refuge, a true lung that renews the air and invites us to stop, breathe, and connect. It was our favorite place to rest and share. Fede was always attentive, with a friendly and respectful presence that made us feel at home. Definitely a place we want to go back to. Thank you so much!

Highly recommend this place to stay in Monteverde! The host was super welcoming when we arrived and was kind throughout. The place is as described with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains which allowed for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. To note, having a car or using taxi’s is most likely needed to stay here. There wasn’t really any restaurants or places to walk to without driving into the main township.

Beautiful bungalow with a super cool vibe. Location is great (easy walk to the Thursday night market). The pool was refreshing and the hammock relaxing, but our favorite part was our daily visit from Luna, their chocolate lab. We wanted to bring her home with us! One note, if you’re a light sleeper bring ear buds just in case the animals (rooster/monkeys) are active in the am. I will say, the howler monkeys are pretty awesome to watch 😎!

Los Pargos/Playa Negra is a remote beach, great for walking and beach combing. Sparsely populated, but very friendly surroundings and people. Take water! There is a beach-side restaurant for simple food/refreshment, but mostly it's just surfers, walkers, and folks sitting in the shade of palm trees and cooling off in the waves. There is a small grocery store and several nice places to eat along the road to the beach. A place for serenity and nature lovers, not partiers and night-life seekers. Mathieu replies quite quickly to texts and questions.

Teresita and Eli went above and beyond. We were a group of 14 and rented out all their cabanas. As you can imagine we had lots of questions. They took the time to recommend activities and even booked on our behalf. Also, all of their food recommendations were great. The cabanas were beautiful and had everything we needed.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment! Nestled in a lush, beautifully maintained tropical garden, the setting felt like a peaceful oasis. Waking up to the sounds of birds and being surrounded by greenery was a true escape from everyday life. One of the best parts? It’s just a 10-minute walk to a stunning beach with pristine, crystal-clear waters. Whether I wanted to swim, relax on the sand, or watch the sunset, it was the perfect spot and so easy to get to. The apartment itself was clean, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The garden views from the windows and patio were stunning — perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. The host was friendly, responsive, and gave great local tips. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax in a serene, tropical environment. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a pleasant stay. The loft is very clean. It is set back from town which allows you to be quiet and close to Monteverde and the different hikes. The view of nature from the home is stunning! Note that the pathway to the accommodation is a track and it is best to have a suitable vehicle.

We had a great time at the glass house 1.0. The view was incredible and the home was stocked thoughtfully. The Amalu signage along the way was quite helpful after the drive up. Definitely recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle to get to the house and for around MV.

A sweet little spot surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. Love how it feels upstairs in the bedroom with the view of the tree out of the window / from the balcony. Was lovely sitting in the yard where the bench is too surrounded by butterflies and little hummingbirds. The hosts were very responsive, helpful and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway that’s close to Monteverde and has its own natural charm.

Very nice place to stay, close to all the nightwalk tours and monteverde town. Its a „close to nature“ experience and feels like in the middle of the forests, you can hear all the birds from your bedroom - maybe that’s not for everyone but we enjoyed it and the views were great :)

We stayed a week at Fika Haus and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've had at an Airbnb. It was very quiet at night and we slept great! The kitchen had just the right things for cooking a few meals. The property is also walking distance to some fine restaurants and a short drive to others. It's close to several nature preserves, including Curi Cancha, the Monterverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve, and Valle Escondido. We also visited Selvatura, which was a little further. The staff were very helpful in booking tours for us. The property has its own trails and we highly recommend going up to the mirador for a spectacular view. We saw agoutis, coatis, and several types of birds right from the house. Jeffry quickly responded to messages - he's a great host.

Lovely place with enough jungle to feel remote, but close enough to town to walk if you wanted. AC was surprisingly quick to cool down the space considering the size of the unit vs the space. Loved the outdoor patio and direct kitchen access for breakfasts. Kitchen was nicely equipped and stocked, including vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper. There is no oven, but there is a 2 burner electric stove. Very clean space, felt very modern and welcoming. The whole property is behind a locked gate, so security is never a concern. Diego was also very helpful and friendly, giving suggestions for restaurants and hiking locations when we asked. Check-in and out require in person meeting, but he was very flexible with the timing for that, both on arrival and departure. Definitely would stay here again if I come back to the area in the future.

An excellent place to spend time as a couple, comfortable and quiet. If you like a cool place, I recommend it to anyone

The location is walking distance to the grocery store, city center and beach. The neighborhood is safe and away from the crowd. Parking space is available. We enjoyed the bbq for prepping meals. The pool is fabulous. Tip #1: Go have lunch at Chaki Café, the girls are incredibly friendly and the food is fresh and amazing. Tip #2: For grocery shopping go to Super China Samara. Tip #3: Gusto Beach, you get a chair and an umbrella if you spend a minimum of $20. It’s well worth it. Try the ginger limonade.

We stayed at Casa Rustica for 8 nights. The bungalow was the perfect size for my husband and me. The bed was very comfortable and the bath towels were luxurious. Sharr has done a great job decorating both inside and out. The vegetation around the property provides optimal privacy and we really enjoyed the outdoor shower. We didn’t hear or see our neighbours in Casa Rustica number 1 - it’s that private. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away (you can hear the sound of the waves from the back porch). We walked the beach into town and back a few times for lunch (about 25 minutes each way). We also rented beach bikes from Sharr which were handy for getting around, as we didn’t have a car. The location and the accommodation were perfect. We were fortunate enough to meet Sharr. She is an incredible host who wants to ensure her guests are comfortable. The only caveat we have is that this is a growing community and so there may be some construction happening on new homes nearby.

Loved my stay there. A friend rented the other bungalow, which was the perfect set up. Already booked a return visit.

Wow! What an amazing place! Right on an empty beach and the cutest house! We had a great stay here and are already dreaming of coming back especially when a pool is added!

We stayed at Carlos’ place for 10 nights and it had everything we needed. It was important to us to be able to cook our own meals and we had everything we needed to do that. It was a close to drive to everything and only took 10 minutes or so to get anywhere, location was perfect for us. The drive was easy and the place was easily accessible by car. The neighbours are very close, although we never saw them, we could hear them- but it wasn’t bothersome at all. Felt very safe and comfortable. If your looking for something that’s close to everything, is simple, safe and affordable- this is it! Also, Carlos was really great to communicate with. We didn’t have any issues, but had questions about places to go and things to see and he gave us SO much information that might have otherwise been hard to find on our own!

Excellent stay. The hosts are very friendly and willing to answer all questions. The accommodation is in excellent conditions of cleanliness, order, and kitchen utilities. The comfort is very high in any of the options, both sofa bed, bunk beds and of course the master bedroom. The cleanliness of the kitchen, which is well-equipped, and the cleanliness of the bathroom are noteworthy. The pool is excellent for a good time at night as it is visually attractive.
