This place was great! It was quiet, private, in a convenient location. The hostess was proactive in informing me of situations around the property/unit. I would definitely stay here again!

Great, private location. Easy drive to Seward, Whittier and Girdwood. Perfect place to drop out bags and build a fire a night. Would definitely recommend.

Shack in the Woods is a quaint experience tucked away in the Hope area. Our cozy room had all the things that it described and was very spacious. Our host was very kind and provided wood for our stove. They provided great advice hiking and food options. The shower service that was included was delightful with a hot water dispenser that came in handy after a chilly misty hike. I hope to come back sometime in the fall again to enjoy the magical tranquility of Hope.

Great Airbnb for couples! The place was very clean, had room to store skis and I really appreciated the pre-loaded woodstove! The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to make simple meals and the views are fantastic. Also it's within walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. Overall would stay again!

Donna’s place was comfortable in a beautiful setting and an easy commute to downtown. The unit was well stocked making us feel right at home. We also appreciated her quick communications and accommodations.

The place is just right for me. Peaceful and private just the way I needed. Stayed in his place for two months this 2024 summer and stayed again another 4 days this Oct. 2024.

I had a great stay at Miriam's listing. Barbara, the host was very responsive and friendly. I'd definitely stay there again if I am back in Anchorage. Definitely recommend. For people who are light sleepers, I'd recommend bringing ear plugs, just in case. The location of the airbnb is peaceful but the walls are thin between the room I stayed in and the guest who was in the room next to mine. That person had late phone calls, watched movies and his snoring was loud. I always travel with a sound machine and earplugs as I wake up easily with noise so it wasn't an issue for me as I came equipped. Barbara asked all the guest to be mindful of noise but you never know who your neighbor will be :)

My stay was perfect! Rebecca was lovely. The place was immaculate, spacious and very well appointed. The location is ideal—close to the airport, easy to find, and minutes from downtown. I was very much at home. It felt very private, looked out into the yard with flowering plants and a nice lawn bordered by trees. Seeing the train go by that evening was magical. I’ve found my home away from home when I’m in Anchorage! Thank you Rebecca!

Autumn’s place was amazing! We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to everyone to stay here. It wasn’t far from the stores we need and also the Air Force base was close enough with no traffic. I absolutely loved the stay!

Malina's place was awesome. Quiet and cozy, yet close to the Glenn Highway for convenient, fast travel to Anchorage and the surrounding areas. There is a gas station/convenience store, italian restaurant, and breakfast cafe within a 5 minute drive. The bed was comfortable, as was the reclining sofa. Everything you need for a cup of coffee was provided, which made mornings a breeze! Malina was very responsive to messages and provided clear instructions for entry, parking, etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

A+ stay. Host was very responsive and the only issue I had was with something I had done by accident. They helped accommodate me after I asked for refund. Wish the stay could have been longer.

Convenient place to stay in Anchorage!

We came in late from the train ride from Seward. We were greeted with a bottle of Champagne on ice. Karla knew we were on our honeymoon and I thought that was extremely thoughtful! Wish we would have had more time to spend here. Very clean and comfortable bed!!

The place was spotless and looked just like the photos. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Will book again!

Best neighborhood in Anchorage, not biased because we live here. Rented for my in-laws, they were amazed at the comfort and cleanliness. They kept saying how thoughtful the host was and how well equipped the house was. Comfy beds, quiet, well equipped kitchen. Would rent again!!

I love the design and it’s perfect for if you need a night or even a couple of nights. The bed and linen was comfortable and the kitchen was beautiful. I was surprised there was as much in the unit as there was. It was decorated beautifully as well. I would absolutely stay again.

This place is a gem and I highly recommend it. Wally is very thoughtful, courteous and professional; a great host. His communication was just the right amount, and he ensured everything was perfectly taken care of. This place provides a perfectly clean, comfortable and serene environment on the Anchorage Hillside. The neighborhood is located in an area with spectacular scenery and easy access to some of Anchorage’s best hiking trails and vistas. It is also convenient by car to everything in Anchorage, while letting you have your own serene retreat at the end of each day.
