The cottage is so cute!!!. We loved it! Our dogs also had a great time. There was plenty of space to roam safely, and the beach was just a short walk away—ideal for long strolls!! Donna was wonderfully responsive and welcoming, and she thoughtfully stocked the cottage with everything we could possibly need. Great getaway for all!!!

What an absolutely lovely place! Just perfect for a peaceful getaway. If you love cozy, clean, bright and airy spots right on the water - this is the place! Walking is easy to many restaurants (including a yummy taco truck), and the Calvert Marine museum and AnnMarie Sculpture Garden are close and totally worth doing. We brought our kayak and had a nice row - putting in directly off the dock of the home. Just overall great place. Definitely recommend!

We brought our dog along for a beach adventure at The Laughing King. We had an amazing time and MJ was a wonderful host. We stayed in the little hi eymoon cottage and it was quaint and well-appointed. The loft ladder was a bit tricky but once you got up there the bed was super comfortable! We enjoyed walking around and exploring Cape Charles (just a quick 15/20 minute car ride away with plenty of free street parking around town) but our favorite day was playing out on the private sand bar with our dog. We all had a blast on the sandbar and next time will pack a lunch and stay out longer! The property itself was secluded, quiet and private. Perfect for sitting on the porch with coffee watching the tide roll in. They had paddle boards and kayaks to use in the calm backwaters as well as a fire pit and a nice pool. The reviews about MJs wonderful breakfasts were spot on - his quiche was superb. Overall we had a wonderful time at The Laughing King and we would highly recommend it

Loved the location. I wasn't sure about everyone in our group liking being so close to the "hubbub", but that ended up being what something we really liked about the place. Lots of things to do that are walkable. Shops, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, a beautiful walkway along the intracoastal waterway, a kids playground... And the view can't be beat! Well stocked kitchen- like truly everything you could possibly need. Lots of seating on the deck. All the things! Mom was over the moon about her 90th birthday celebration.

So many memories made at this amazing property. Make sure to bring goggles so you can get down in the water and swim with the fish and explore for hidden treasures!

Myself and three friends stayed at the Stagg House during our visit to the bourbon trail. Private and peaceful location along the Kentucky river. Perfect place to stay during our visit to the area.

The home was very off grid, just what we were looking for. Loved the peaceful feeling of being alone in the woods. Would recommend a 4wd vehicle to access for sure!

Loved everything about our stay at Tammy’s place. The view of the lake was fantastic. Tammy got back to us quickly with answers to questions and was very pleasant.

This was our second time staying at one of Rebecca and Sean’s VA Beach condos — and the experience did not disappoint! This is just a perfect location, at the very end of the Boardwalk, with a private grassy lawn and outdoor seating just for the condo residents. Lots of restaurants in the surrounding blocks. Our favorite thing is the view — you look right out onto the ocean from the patio, and you can see the beach and the sunrise from the comfortable bed each morning. We spent unhurried hours sitting on the patio in the evenings enjoying the sound of lapping waves and the night sky. This cozy studio was just right for the two of us. Highly recommend. I’ve no doubt we’ll stay there again in the future!

My family and I stayed here for a week for our family vacation. We are a group of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) and there was plenty of room for all of us. We barely left the house because with the beautiful view, dock, beach area, canoe, kayaks, hot tub, game room/ library, corn hole, and fire pit we all had plenty to keep us entertained. Everyone loved Mary & Shelly’s place, and it provided the perfect space for us to enjoy the river and each other’s company!

Perfect location, beautiful open view of the ocean, clean and well stocked for everything we needed for the stay.

Bryan is super responsive and easy to communicate with. He notified us of detailed check in and check out instructions. He then checked in on us towards the end of the trip to make sure all of our expectations were met; to which they were. This condo is exactly as described in the listing and pictures. It’s clean and cozy. The view from the bedroom is unmatched. The location is perfect in a sense that it’s not too close to the boardwalk, making the area a little more quiet, but also within 10 mins to the best restaurants and bars. The staff at the condo and even other guests were friendly and courteous. If you’re afraid of heights, this might not be the best place to stay for you, but as I previously mentioned, the view from the master bedroom can’t be beat. That view alone, would have us stay again. I would definitely recommend this stay to others.

There aren't enough words proper enough to describe how spot on this amazing place is. It looks EXACTLY as the photos show. As soon as I walked in the door, I was met with a beautiful & relaxing relief. I literally let out an "Oh my gosh". I just knew, it was going to be enjoyable. It was quiet & so serene. The bed truly is so comfortable. I was also so impressed with the amount of kitchen supplies as well as the products that were offered in the bathroom & kitchen. They were not your typical "hotel brand" products. Plenty of nearby places within walking distance from food to shopping. I hope I was a good a guest for them because I want to return again. I am in love with it. Such an amazing getaway. Thank you ×100!

Fantastic place to stay with great amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks and fire pit. This cabin is a lovely private getaway. Koren was proactive and communicative throughout the whole process. We would 100% stay here again.

Beautiful house by the lake, perfect for what we were looking for! Price for the stay was great value for what we received. The house was clean, and very nice. We were greeted with recommendations and local places to visit. Check-in was a breeze, and the city was beautiful. Not far from the house at all. Another hidden bonus is that the grocery store was less than five minutes away, which was surprising. Sunsets were pretty and overall the location was very peaceful. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at this cabin and it was even better than the first! William is a great host and the cabin is amazing. Location and amenities are top notch. Will be back again for sure!

This is a beautiful location for those seeking to relax and bask in the sea breeze. The property offers private space right on top of the water and a large back porch with endless views of the horizon. The home offers large windows all throughout and the furniture is arranged nicely so that the sun rise gently wakes you from sleep in the morning. The entry into the area, a small road between the marsh, gives the instant feeling that it's time to unplug. The community was quiet and and offered plenty of miles for a good long run and to observe nature from afar. There are a few small cafes and shops in the adjacent community which will complement any necessity a small family may need while spending a quiet week at the beach.

Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place to unwind with the family!! The six of us had plenty of space to hangout inside and out. House was clean. Fishing was fine for the younger kids -lots of bluegill, a few bullheads & smaller bass. No cell service but WiFi worked really well.

Perfectly Placed was everything we had hoped it would be! We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and wanted something peaceful and relaxing, this was all of that and more ♥️ We are looking to come back as a family.

Lake Lookout Cottage with my besties was most memorable. Julie and Calvin, thank you for always making me feel special and welcome, not to mention relaxed. I hope the rambunctious laughter from the dock was enough indication that we were “On Lake Time” , living our Best Life! Till next time…..,

This place was a real treat. It was breath-taking, inside and out. The location was spectacular with amazing views thanks to the wall of windows in the great room. Usually the sofa bed area is not the best room in the house, but this time it was super comfortable and came with the most amazing sunrise. We will definitely be coming back here.
