El Nido—a Magnificent Victorian Home

Architectural elements like the wooden beams and whimsical shapes of the rooms inspired a Cuban approach to integrate traditional styles into the modern updates. Notice the Spanish-Moorish tiles, the charming skylights, and artisanal decor items. It's a very special home. You will feel like you are staying in a luxury spa. Every detail has been meticulously thought out; from the hangers in the bathroom to every appliance, every picture on the walls and the selection of Spanish-moorish tiles both in the bathroom and kitchen. It doesn't matter if you are staying for 3 days, for a week or for longer. The place has been purposely designed for your thorough enjoyment and extreme comfort. You have a full walking closet with capacity to hang as much clouding as you can carry and as many as 40 pairs of shoes. Of course you have top quality linens and towels as well as all the essentials for a 5-stars hotel experience. El Nido es the top unit of a former home; there are other 2 units occupied by very decent and quite families, but they have their completely separate entrances, so you will not be sharing common spaces with anyone; in fact, the entire space is at your disposal and at your disposal only, every square foot both of the apartment and of the private deck is entirely and exclusively for your use. My partner and I are avid travelers; we are AirBnB users as well; hence, we appreciate the availability of hosts as they are locals with ample knowledge of the amenities and less obvious gems of their cities. We want to let you know that we will be happy to be available as a friendly and willing source not only of problem solving, but also of information and guidance. How much interaction is for your to freely decide. Voted one of the 10 most interesting cities in the US by The Traveler magazine, Oakland is a growing area that has a wonderful selection of unique restaurants, shops, and bars. Take in the harbor views nearby and spend a fun day out on Lake Merritt. Lake Merritt Bart Station to San Francisco: Bart takes you to San Francisco (Only 2 short stops, an about 7-minutes ride, and you are in Embarcadero, the very epicenter of “the City”). It also takes you to and from both San Francisco International and Oakland International airports. While this station is only 1.2 away from the apartment, it is a good 25 minutes-walk. It is a lot easier and comfortable if you take Uber or Lift. For those of you more intrepid, there are also bikes or even those city-scooters that people leave anywhere. A major bus line runs down the Lake on Foothill Boulevard (which you catch at the intersection of 7th Ave @ Foothill, only 800 feet away). The same line brings you back one intersection over (@ E 14th). Both streets are one way, so the nearest goes down the Lake and the subsequent brings you back. Nevertheless, as we said earlier, Taxis and app-based ride services like Uber and Lyft work quite efficiently and inexpensively in our area. Nearby Stores Some popular grocery store options include: • Lucky's, a natural foods supermarket: less than half a mile • Several Chinese and Vietnamese minimarkets on International Boulevard. Breezy hike to Cascade Falls and Three Wells. Take in the rustic-chic vibe of this century-old hideaway in the midst of towering treetops. Bask in the scents and sounds of nature as you enjoy breakfast on the deck, or brush up on your piano skills from the comfort of the sun-drenched music room. Gather for alfresco outdoor dining off the kitchen. Following a day's hike from one of the many trail heads relax and take in the beauty from the decks. Views from every room to the surrounding forest. Down a long path is the entrance of the home. Not appropriate for guests with limited mobility. Renovated with new furnishings, beds and high quality linens. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. Renovated kitchen features restored vintage Wedgewood range, Kohler farmhouse sink with Brizo faucet, new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, and custom cabinetry. Thoughtfully designed custom lighting, as well as lighting by Restoration Hardware & Rejuvenation. My husband and I live in the neighboring town of Tiburon, and use this home occasionally as a nearby retreat to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and spend family time with our kids living in nearby San Francisco. Kindly note our strict policy precluding any gatherings larger than 6 guests. To access the house, please note the entry includes a relatively long pathway leading to our home. The redwood steps are newly built and comply with code standards for outdoor steps (evenly spaced, graded with proper incline, and tread height). Due to the many steps it may be challenging for those with limited mobility or small children. You have access to the entire home during your stay, as well as nearby public walking trails into town. I will provide my guests with access information to the house a couple of days before arrival. There will be additional information about the house on a welcome letter there inside; and, while your privacy will be completely respected, we are happy to be available to answer questions. Nestled in the hills, the property boasts a scenic walking path which leads down into Mill Valley town square. The nearby station offers bus transportation into San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument is also located within an easy drive or an adventurous two and a half mile hike. It is most convenient to drive to our place. To get around Mill Valley there are many interesting walking paths and trails to explore the immediate area. Uber and Lyft are convenient for rides leaving the town square. For day trips into San Francisco, ferries depart from nearby Sausalito & Tiburon. Also, bus transportation into SF leaves from the Mill Valley town square. House layout includes— upstairs: one queen bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, vintage style bathroom, deck with dining furniture, office, and music/art room—this level does not have central heating, but does have radiant floor heating in bathroom, remote control heater in bedroom, & radiant heaters in kitchen and living room. downstairs: three bedrooms, cedar lined bathroom, living room with TV, laundry room, and two decks with lounge furniture; this level does have central heating. Our place accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.The rate includes the City of Mill Valley 12% taxes (hospitality & tourism).

Wake up with breakfast brought to your door, then spend the morning leisurely exploring the surrounding apple orchards and gardens. Located on a working farm/cidery, you can learn about apple culture and even stroll through the orchards tasting different varieties of apples during the harvest season. The farm's chickens provide very tasty eggs which you'll enjoy for breakfast; there are cows and lots of wild-life just outside your door! The cottage is set up comfortably for two people with all the spa amenities. Guests have stayed here for the last several years; you can read reviews online by following the review link on our website after searching for our name (AppleGarden Cottage) on the web. Breakfast is brought to the cottage each morning with all organic and home-made items. Fresh eggs from our pasture-raised chickens, local dairy items, and our own hard cider is stocked in the fridge. Guests can enjoy touring the apple orchard and cidery, and visiting with the resident chickens. They have complete privacy inside the cottage. Free EV charger for guest use. We live full-time on the farm in the main house and are always on-site when our guests are present. We enjoy visiting with folks if they want to tour the farm or need suggestions for activities. Tomales is 68 miles from both San Franciso (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports. There are many hiking opportunities just a short distance from the farm: Point Reyes National Seashore has wonderful trails to explore. There are local cheesemakers who have educational tours; Tomales Bay is perfect for kayaking, and of course there are several oyster farm choices for the bivalve lover! Spectacular beaches are just an easy drive away. If the weather's nice, bring your bikes! EVC available for your car. There is no public transportation. We are located about an hour from San Francisco (traffic depending) and about 20 minutes from Petaluma. Fee includes breakfast for two each morning. Free wi-fi, satellite TV with premium channels, land-line phone with free calls (cell phone coverage is difficult), internet radio The weather is quite changeable; dressing in layers is the best idea since the morning can start out foggy, lots of sunshine during the day, and a brisk breeze in the afternoons. No animals - no exceptions, no matter how well behaved you may think they are, so please don't ask. On rainy days, enjoy the cozy comfort of reading next to the fireplace, or venture out to watch to storm at Bodega Head. Plan to bring snacks or other things you'd enjoy eating; we provide breakfast (of course!) and there are restaurants fairly close by, but no stores or places to just run out and get a quick treat!

Beautiful Luxury Victorian near San Francisco, Beach, Oak

Bring the past back to life in this updated historical residence. The house features original architecture details, a neutral color scheme, contemporary and antique furnishings, contrasting textures and patterns, and an outdoor dining area. Parties are not allowed. This is a beautiful Victorian house built in 1908, with delightful vintage details throughout, and recently luxurious upgrades from top to bottom. It is decorated with French Country theme. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and welcoming. House is equipped with high speed internet (free wifi), flat screen TV, and wash/dryer. Guests will have access to the entire house and the garden. I am a very easy going person. Every guest will be respected and be cared for during their stay. Absolutely no problem if you break a dish, a glass, or accidentally scratch a table or spill something on the carpet. Things are meant to be used and guests should live freely during their visit. I live in Santa Clara, 45mins south of Alameda. Not onsite most days, but always available by phone or text, and will give guests immediate attention. My kind neighbors Dean and Stacy offered to help in emergency situations. My grown up son, Sean (25), lives half miles away from the Airbnb is able to help as well. The home is in a charming neighborhood where people are very friendly and welcoming. It is walking distance to Webster Street, filled with restaurant and shops, and a few minutes walk to the Crown Beach with miles of trails and stunning views. The Victorian house is convenient and central located, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, 7 miles to Oakland International airport, 4 miles to Coliseum, Oracle Arena. Going to San Francisco, 12 miles by land, you have the options of taking the ferries, Bart (Lake Merritt Station) and bus AC Transit Route O (Santa Clara/9th bus stop, a few minutes walk) https://sfbaytransit.org/actransit/route/O Party is not allowed and quiet time is 9:30pm.

Charming Guest Room in 1907 Cottage on Russian Hill

Begin a relaxing morning out on the porch, then head to the local international market and delis. This fully-equipped suite features a comfy 4-poster bed, kitchenette, and charming dining area. It's all the comforts of home with a 20th-century vibe. Annie’s Cottage offers charming accommodations within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, China Town, North Beach and other San Francisco favorites. Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.

Reach almost anywhere in the city quickly via MUNI public transportation, less then a block away. The muni train is conveniently located 1 block away, which connects to downtown, the ball park, Caltrain and almost anywhere in the city. On the same block as the home you also have the muni bus which goes to golden gate park, Golden Gate Bridge and the presidio.
