Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Exeter

This place is the most peaceful setting, waking up to a view of the hills, the foliage, the sheep & the cry of the pheasants. It was great! Excellent proximity to trails. Close to town. The space was perfectly appointed, and had all the things we needed to stay comfortably with our 6 month old. I would certainly recommend if you’re needing a recharge in the countryside. And Tanya was quick to respond as needed.

We had an amazing weeks stay at the barn. Steve and Tessa were such amazing host, the barn is immaculate, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. They both went above to ensure that we were comfortable, providing extra dog towels, Steve instructions on how to find the barn, checking that we were warm enough and had everything we need. The barn is surrounded by beautiful tranquil forest and miles of walking routes. Thank you so much for having us .

We had an amazing stay at Hollycroft Barn, from the moment we arrived Tracey was so helpful, showed us around and made us feel at home, she even baked us a beautiful welcome cake! The barn is absolutely stunning, and so homely, we didn’t want to leave, the grounds are amazing, Tracey even brought down the lambs so we could bottle feed them! Fantastic host and fantastic property, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

Before the trip she sent us some information for things in the area, places to eat etc, was very helpful. Lovely little hide away, nice and private. Just as the pictures showed, Beautiful. Gorgeous stay at Maxine’s in Sidbury. Views unmatched, area gorgeous, home is so cosy and fell asleep to the lullaby of the babbling brook at the end of the garden. Maxine was lovely- always responsive, took initiative, ready to help and even gave us flexibility to check out so we could take our dog on an extra long walk. We loved Colin the collie too. Would definitely come back.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. The barn was beautiful and spacious and perfect for socialising with friends or family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, our only gripe was that we wish we had booked longer!!

A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. Thank you, Barbara and Taryn.

Such a lovely and peaceful place to rest and recuperate (the garden is such a hidden gem) but as someone travelling with a little one, it was also just a short walk to the main beach for making sandcastles!

Leilas appartment has a lovely view of the harbour. The walk down is fairly steep so consequently so is the walk back. It’s a good central point for checking out North Devon.

Amazing flat with the most perfect views over West Bay . Superbly equipped for your every need , from kitchen to the super comfy bed . Hopefully we’ll be back

We had a lovely stay at Angela's place in Dartmouth. It was very spacious and felt really peaceful and private, especially the terrace - perfect for a relaxing break. The location was great too, with loads of nice restaurants and the centre of Dartmouth just a short walk away. Having the double garage was a real bonus too as parking can be a bit tricky around there! Would definitely stay again!

What a cracker of a place and so lucky to have found it. Simply perfect and a wonderfully secluded spot yet close to all that Lyme Regis has to offer. Looked after so well, with tasteful additions that make it a home from home. Wow…. The garden !!! Thank you for being fabulous hosts too .

Not many words apart from perfect. Exactly as described, the cutest apartment, well equipped and perfect for a family of 4. Not only walking distance to everything but also a great little garden and deck for a glass of something in the sunshine. Mike shared loads of restaurant recommendations, all of which were spot on. The Millside was amazing food and service, would highly recommend. Mikes communication was excellent, thorough instructions and attentive at all times. Very sad to have left!

Mary was very welcoming to us on our arrival. The flat itself is very comfortable and right next to the shops / cafes etc in Dawlish. Very well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. We were on a family visit, but if you are looking for a holiday Dawlish is ideal and relatively unspoilt compared to other coastal towns. Lots of shops to explore, and of course the famous Gay's Creamery is here too (an absolute must-visit!)

What a fabulous stay! We had a great time, the place was a charming and cottagey feel place set in beautiful location. The apartment well stocked, they provided everything from cleaning supplies to every conceivable food item you require for breakfast including fresh chicken eggs - straight from the farm. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming and communicated efficiently and I was kept up to date. Location is down narrow lanes, in the beautiful countryside of Devon - it was my first time but my friend is a confident driver, we did get lost, as we were admiring the views and not paying attention to the instructions but the instructions and pictures the host provided were very clear. There are few animals at the location, you just have to go see for yourself! Loved every minute, thank you so much - definitely see you next year!

Myself and two friends travelled from London and had an absolutely amazing well needed break! The property was absolutely beautiful and the location. We walked to Looe following the recommendations and had an amazingly mindful walk in the natural beauty of Cornwall. We are already planning our next trip back! Rob is a brilliant host, they property was better than the pictures and the communication was excellent

We had an amazing stay at Coombe Villa! The house was spotless, spacious, and perfect for our group of six friends. We loved the sea views, the games room, and the cinema setup, which made for some really fun evenings. The location is ideal, with beaches, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk away. Simon and Charlie were super responsive and helpful with any questions, which made everything really easy. It had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

A Perfect Devon Escape – More Than We Could Have Hoped For! Our 3-day stay at this spacious North Devon villa was absolutely unforgettable. Beautiful house, thoughtfully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. It is also huge so lots of space to make yourself at home. All appliances, white goods etc in perfect working order and all furniture comfortable and tidy, linens and towels very clean etc. The house throughout was very clean. Parking permits available on arrival so very easy and we had no issues with parking during our week long stay. Easy to walk to the seafront, shopping mall, aquarium etc and we enjoyed the walks. Very small asks would be to provide more dinner plates, side plates and bowls. As a family of 5 we went through everything in a day but it’s not enough to fill the dishwasher so no break from washing up on hols! A few basics like salt, pepper, oil would be welcomed to help with home cooking. As I said very small asks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home away from home for anyone travelling to Plymouth.

This Airbnb exceeded expectations. Super clean, in a lovely and peaceful area, and the hot tub was absolutely the highlight – so relaxing! The sauna was a great bonus too. For the price, it was an incredible value. Would definitely stay again!

The most stunning home to spend some quiet, wholesome family time and get out of London. The walk down to the beach was definitely worth it (our 4 year old agreed) The house is so amazing with its high ceilings and grand rooms and amazing antique furniture. We had all the grandparents with us and 2 kids and there was plenty of space.
