Bungalow vacation rentals in Carbis Bay

Great house and probably the best we’ve stayed in Cornwall. About a 15 minute walk from a beautiful beach through the sand dunes, which our dog loved. The kitchen is the best equipped we’ve come across in an Airbnb. We cooked a few times during the stay and to our surprise it had all the random things we needed. The property is on a very quiet street and felt very private tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac and next to the entrance where you go through to the beach. We were unfamiliar with Gwithian/Hayle but we’d definitely stay again, it felt so peaceful but also very easy to get to St Ives. M&S was within a few minutes drive too so handy to get a shop in. Thanks Rebecca for the lovely stay, we’re already thinking about another visit!

Wonderful location close to the beach, dunes and beautiful coastal paths. The bungalow is a lovely, clean, comfortable, quiet space with all the basics and a little more besides. A place you look forward to returning to at the end of a day out. Highly recommended.

Perfect spot for a family holiday. Great layout with an excellent view. My favourite cottages were always quick to respond and helpful. The early check in was a real bonus as we had small children who needed feeding!

We had a wonderful family holiday to enjoy the last of the summer break. This place felt like home. The hosts were on hand to show us around the house, friendly and allowed us to feel right at home. The location is stunning, with plenty of space. The best beach directly opposite. Thanks so much for sharing your home. We hope to come back next summer.

Had a perfect stay here in Praa Sands, it was the ideal family/doggy holiday. Easy communication and everything was as described. We will definitely be back in the future!

Another wonderful stay at No. 1 Penventon. Everything has been very easy from start to finish. Mary is very quick to respond to questions and I find that very reassuring. No. 1 is spacious, comfortable and really well organised - ideal for a beach holiday. Everything you need, including beautiful pristine beaches and cliff top walks, e.g. a local shop, pub, cafe and beach shops are 2-5 mins walk away. Close enough for convenience and far enough away to ensure peace and quiet. This is my second stay and I hope there will be more in future!

What a great place to stay! The property was just as described, really comfortable and really well equipped. A beautiful well-kept garden with plenty of garden furniture, a washing line and a barbecue. It's only a 10 minute walk to a convenience store and a 15 minute walk to a supermarket and Newquay. Newquay is lovely, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and cool shops. In the other direction it's a 15 minute walk to Fistral beach which is fantastic and also has a selection of restaurants and shops. The owners were really helpful and responded straight away to any queries we had. Oh, and they left us a lovely welcoming gift of wine, tea, coffee and fudge!

What a find! Karen’s place was just the best! Everything was so clean and tidy, and the space inside and out is really well thought out . Didn’t really know what to expect, so took essentials, i.e. tea, sugar, milk, but that was already catered for. Little touches like a dogs water bowl out and full, which our dog fully appreciated after the long drive, and another dog bowl with fork included for your dogs dinner, Poo bags and treats to boot. Lovely welcome basket with some goodies for the humans too, which were greatly appreciated! The beds are possibly the most comfortable we have ever slept in, so that in itself was priceless! Just a 5 minute stroll down to the beach with a lovely pub enroute which serves food, and at the bottom of the hill is the beach bar, which also does food. All in all, cracking location and a gorgeous home. Thank you so much Karen! xx

We stayed at Nicola’s place to visit family in the area so were already familiar with Perranporth. The ample living space would be good on rainy days and there’s a nice contained garden to sit in on sunny ones. It was quiet and peaceful.

Lovely clean home in a good location. Walkable to the local beach (albeit walking in the road), the place is bright, clean and spacious. Pete provided clear instructions on getting into the property and what to do on leaving. He'd provided some basic essentials on our arrival (milk, toilet roll) which was welcome as we arrived on a Sunday. It's a short drive to the Aldi and the A30, which made it a great location for us for touring around Cornwall by car. Only tiny niggle is spotting the sign for the entrance gate on first arrival - its on a hill on a national speed limit road - and if you're unfortunate you'll have agressive drivers behind you trying to push you to go faster! Don't let them!

We had the best time staying at the Escape. Just a short walk downhill to the most beautiful beach and easy to drive to Lands end, Penzance and St Ives. The accommodation was as described and we felt at home straight away. Seb was great at communicating and sent clear instructions and information before we arrived making it really easy to find and get in after a long drive down. We will be visiting again for sure!

A great place to relax and unwind, with truly beautiful views over St Mawes and out towards the sea. The bungalow was really well equipped and clean as a pin. Helen was a great host too. Outside the seating areas were varied and of a good standard which was much appreciated. The only downside was that the steps up to the property( on top of a hill) were steep and deep and a struggle for us arthritic oldies especially with bags of shopping and suitcases. Once we were in we were extremely happy but rather dreaded the steep walk back up the hill from the village …….however we soon decided to use the car more so we coped quite happily.
