Vacation rentals with a pool in Poitou-Charentes

A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

Communication with Estelle was excellent from start to finish. She was a perfect host, always willing to help when asked but otherwise discreet. Her family were also very helpful. The gite is just as described, perfectly clean and presented. The kitchen is a little tricky to get used to in a corner under the stairs but everything is in good condition and works perfectly. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The bed is very comfortable. On the very hot nights air conditioning would have been welcome though there are good fans. Near to to shopping and so many places to visit in the locality. The roads are very quiet for walking and cycling. The outdoor areas are private, absolutely peaceful, the only sounds are the breeze and birds.

We enjoyed our stay, our host provided us directions to the closest bakery, was friendly and responsive, the garden is beautiful and serene.

This beautiful cottage is out in the middle of the country with birdsong during the day and quiet nights. It’s still in between many major destinations in the Loire Valley. Central location with lots of good grocery stores and we made lots of our meals at the cottage. For those wanting to eat out there are lots of great restaurants within 30 minutes. The cottage was even cuter in person. The bed was firm but cozy. Bathroom was large with a great shower. You have a private patio overlooking beautiful fields, which we enjoyed in the afternoons and for watching sunsets. The pool is a shared space. When you are using it, you won’t see the hosts or feel intruded upon. They make use of it in the mornings and later in evening when you’re not using it. Karen is available for suggestions or to help you with your itinerary and she is a very nice person. You’ll enjoy this beautiful retreat!

We had the most wonderful 12-night stay in The Farmhouse and enjoyed fabulous hospitality from Sam & Stuart. It is very well equipped with everything that you need for a very comfortable stay. There is a beautiful outdoor space for al fresco dining. There is an enormous barn which has been converted into a games area and is incredibly well equipped with table tennis, pool, darts, table football, a library, and every board game known to man! There is also an invaluable library of information on the local area. The massive heated outdoor pool is such a beautiful area to relax in. With the local church as a backdrop and the sounds of the birds singing in the surrounding trees in the beautiful garden was absolute bliss. The location is a great base to travel from and explore the towns and villages in the surrounding area. We even managed a couple of day trips to La Rochelle and Bordeaux. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and relaxing stay.

Excellente location : Le logement est très propre et fonctionnel. Dominique est accueillante et arrangeante. Mention spéciale à la literie d'un grand confort. Idéalement placée, la résidence est très agréable, Saint Martin en Ré est un charmant village. Je recommande vivement.

Un très bon séjour chez Brigitte qui a été super accueillante. Le logement est facile d'accès et proche du centre de la Flotte. Il est très bien équipé, propre et chaleureux. Malgré la fraîcheur de la piscine, nous y avons pris plaisir après notre très grande balade à vélo. nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! merci Brigitte pour l'accueil et votre confiance.

Idéalement situé, ce logement est parfait pour découvrir l’île de Ré et ses magnifiques paysages en vélo (loueur juste à côté, sympathique). Le petit plus le sauna. Belle décoration, bien équipé. Bonne communication avec l’hôte qui donne de bon conseil. Parking juste en face.

A gem of a place! Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location but within walking distance from the port and local shops.

Ce fût un excellent séjour chez Nicolas ! La résidence est très agréable, calme, charmante, bien située pour accéder au village de la Flotte à pieds facilement, toute proche du front de mer. Nous avons eu un temps caniculaire et l'appartement, volets fermés, reste frais. La piscine est un plus bien appréciable. Les échanges avec Nicolas ont été très cordiaux. Il est réactif, arrangeant, et donne des informations locales et pratiques précieuses. Le studio est bien arrangé, avec une jolie décoration, une bonne literie, tout le nécessaire de vaisselle et la terrasse fleurie est idéale pour prendre les petits déjeuners en plein air. ☀️ La table dressée à notre arrivée donne une touche d'hospitalité que nous avons bien appréciée. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Un petit studio bien agréable ! J’ai passé une seule nuit j’aurais bien aimé rester plus longtemps ! Je recommande !

Apartamento grande, con una bonita piscina en la comunidad, camas cómodas, una terraza muy agradable y juegos para niños. El parking es para dos coches. Nicolas fue muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos. Está a sólo 15min de Futuroscope así que es ideal para visitar el parque. Sin duda volveríamos a repetir.

Nous avons passé un très joli séjour. La demeure est spacieuse et rénovée avec beaucoup de goût. Tout cela dans un cadre calme et apaisant ! Je recommande vivement pour un week-end en famille sous le signe du dépaysement !

Just returned from a great stay, Christophe the key holder and owner was lovely and helpful with any questions we had and kindly dropped off some eggs that his chickens had laid which were very tasty. The house has a wealth of family history itself and the things displayed across the house show these off and the information in the house guide explain some of these items and the link to the family. It's a beautiful house and stays cool in the warm weather too (keep the shutters closed in the day to help this). The pool is beautiful and the house amenities catered for all our needs. It's also a great location to get to without a car as the train station is a short walk away and goes direct to Poitiers and La Rochelle. We had a lovely time and a really relaxing week 😊

Superbe maison de caractère, très calme et apaisante. Très spacieuse et bien équipée. Belle cuisine qui donne envie d'y passer du temps. La piscine est le point fort ! Malheureusement la région est vraiment pauvre au point de vue activités, pas grand chose à visiter... On est loin de tout (pain, courses, marché...) Maison parfaite si vous voulez vous reposer et ne rien faire.

Charmante petite maison bien restaurée et décorée. Localisation idéale au cœur de Chatelaillon: tout se fait à pied! Une adresse qu’on aimerait garder secrète.

Un séjour au top ! La maison est vraiment très chouette, fonctionnelle, très bien équipée (++), propre et décorée avec goût : Il ne manquait rien ! Le terrain est très sympa, bien clôturé (parfait pour nous qui avions un petit garçon et un petit chien). La piscine est super, sécure (grâce à la bâche qui permet de la fermer de manière très sûre) et très bien entretenue et il n'y a aucun vis à vis lorsqu'on est dans le jardin. L'emplacement est idéal et permet d'accéder au bourg à pieds en quelques minutes (très jolie commune au passage, offrant boucherie, boulangerie, supérette, supermarché, marché...). Proche également de grandes villes et de belles plages (La Tranche sur Mer, Les Sables d'Olonnes, Jard sur Mer ...) La communication avec l'hôte et la personne qui remet les clés est facile et agréable. En résumé, nous sommes enchantés par notre séjour, nous avons été agréablement surpris à notre arrivée (le logement était encore mieux que ce que laissait paraître l'annonce) et nous recommandons mille fois !
