We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

We were delighted with our weekend in this idyllic setting. The decoration is neat, the covered outdoor space with the jacuzzi is particularly pleasant and magical at night. Tranquility is preserved, the comfort of the rental is very pleasant and the location is ideal.

Excellent stay in this rejuvenating environment! Great communication with hosts, impeccable accommodation, perfect bedding. The private jacuzzi was a real treat, with the bonus of the privacy screen installed the day before our arrival, allowing us to enjoy the jacuzzi in complete privacy. We would recommend it without hesitation, and we would not hesitate to return!

we were driving to our holiday in spain and only stayed 1 night but we loved it. swimming pool was a bonus, didn't use the spa but it looked so good. we want to come back for a few days and make use of the facilities and explore the area. a very friendly host who is professional, and very warm and likeable. would definitely recommend it to others. just to note, the bedroom is downstairs, I was a little worried it was upstairs at the mezzanine level with the bathroom downstairs but when we arrived the bedroom and bathroom were downstairs. loved it.

Thank you for this charming cottage, we had a great time there with the family. The garden is superb, wooded, quiet and pleasant. The coolness of the house is very nice in summer. Everything is as described, with a bonus of toy bins for kids!! :)

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

It couldn't be better. The house is simply fantastic in the middle of nature. It is so quiet that you fall asleep and wake up with the chirping of the birds and the splashing of the small waterfall. The house itself has everything you need and is very nicely furnished. And Anthony is a great host, who you can tell cares about the well-being of his guests. He welcomed us warmly and explained everything we needed to know - both about the house and the surroundings. If we come back to the area, we'll definitely come here!

Julian’s place was most peaceful and relaxing. We stayed a week but could have stayed longer. We had all the amenities we wanted and feel that the gite is very good value for money. The weather was unseasonably cool, but we still enjoyed swimming in the unheated pool. There are two outdoor spaces which we used each day. For cooler weather there is a substantial wood burner.

A super lovely home to stay in. The garden and pool are perfect and secure for pets. Lots of villages/towns within 10 to 15 mins with usual amenities and bar/restaurants. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and private, well maintained and a friendly, proactive host this is the perfect place.

It's a really peaceful house where you can find everything you need for a pleasant stay. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped, books, games, a stove to warm up. The decor is cute . The pool is well heated and large. The garden is beautiful!! Very well maintained and there is an enchanted atmosphere with animals and water points. Our kids loved the little barge and my son is more than delighted to have been able to fish. Thank you for hosting us and for your kindness. We want to come back next time.

Great time ! Cottage was magic with plenty of character. Garden perfect to relax in and lovely setting. Found some nice local walks for our dog and location perfect 👍 would recommend to anyone.., thanks again to our hosts

The moulin is a very original and comfortable accomodation. the ground floor is the moulin at the first and second floors is the living areas. the three bedrooms are very well fitted and so are the two bathrooms. the kitchen is well equipped. there is also a living room and a balcony. the stay has been very enjoyable overall. the real highlight in terms of activities is the Charente river where you can swim and kayak / canoe in season. the only downsides of our stay have been: the kitchen was not super clean (fridge, glasses, oven etc); the village has absolutely nothing: no stores, no cafes, no restaurant you need to drive to the next door village for everything (7 mins each way); the terrace is nice but has no sunlight in case you want to sunbathe... overall i would go back in the nice season.

A cosy comfortable Gite in the middle of beautiful Dordogne countryside. Peaceful and quiet. Super saltwater pool all to ourselves. Comfortable deck chairs & umbrellas for shade. Comfy beds, kitchen has all mod cons & a lovely outdoor eating terrace under a large Linden tree. Catherine was extremely helpful with local tips. We did a walking tour of Bergerac (well worth visiting) & ate lunch in Chateau Les Merles (gorgeous setting & great food). I’d highly recommend this Gite for an authentic countryside Dordogne stay near Bergerac

What a beautiful tranquil place to spend spring in the French countryside. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable in gorgeous surroundings. Short drives to Clisson, Nantes and some coastal towns for exploring. The kitchen had everything I needed, super comfortable bed and a great shower. The beautiful garden and the local bird life made my stay unforgettable. Veronique and Christoph were amazing hosts and made me feel at home. I stayed here for a number of weeks and will genuinely miss this place and the wonderful hosts.

Beautiful place in a stunning location. Perfect for couples looking for a serene getaway. Amanda was a fantastic, responsive host and we will definitely be coming back.

The loveliest airbnb we’ve ever stayed at!! The owners are so accommodating and their cats and dogs are so sweet. The views are incredible and the gite was perfect- had everything we needed even coffee and every kitchen utensil you could think of! There’s also a BBQ you can use if you’d like. The pool was perfect for the heatwave (and the aircon!) and so tranquil. There’s a book in the room that the hosts have put together with info about local attractions and recommendations that was very helpful! If you want a peaceful get away, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Comfortable cottage on large estate at the edge of the forest. Lots of peace and privacy. The area offers many cycling possibilities. Petra was very nice and also very discreet. A recommendation for peace seekers

Very nice cottage, with plenty of space. The pool is large, the place is quiet to unwind. Ideal for families or groups of friends with its 4 bedrooms. Martin is responsive and accommodating and responds when asked.
