Family-friendly vacation rentals in Obersaxen

We have spent our ski vacation here several times. The resort is ideally located for all winter activities. Everything is within walking distance. The immediate vicinity of the ski school is also ideal. Check-in/check-out is straightforward and quick.

Our stay at the Airbnb in Mathon was simply fantastic! The property is idyllically located in the mountains and offers breathtaking views – perfect for relaxing and unwinding. A special highlight was the hike to Libi, a beautiful mountain lake about 30 minutes away. The nature, the tranquility and the fresh mountain air were simply magnificent. However, the lake is still a little too cold in May. In the evening we enjoyed a cozy fondue together – a real experience! The perfect end to the day was then in the self-heated hotpot under the stars – an absolute feel-good moment that we will not soon forget. Thank you so much for this wonderful time – I'm sure we'll be back!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Scrinari. A very cozy and cozy house, with great views and all the necessary amenities. Clear instructions and very clean. A house to feel at home while you are on vacation.

Everything was perfect! Simple and warm welcome, Dario and Rebecca took the time to give us multiple tips on activities to do in the area, including hikes. The accommodation is impeccable, pleasant, especially the terrace which has a magnificent view of Monte Legnone and the lake.

Very lovely chalet with a hot tub - right next to the train and very central. Breakfast in the morning sun, starry sky in the hot tub. Just wonderful!

Our whole family had such a great time at Paul’s place. The apartment is very spacious and had everything we needed. The space is ideal for relaxation. Our son loved the alpacas and goats on the farm. We hope to return one day again soon.

The house is very nice with a great lake view. Spacious and clean, with a beautiful garden and pool. Location is very quiet and you need to drive to the more touristy places in Como but we definitely liked that!

We had a great time staying here. The views are amazing and the cabin is very cosy, very well laid out and really well equipped for cooking as well as with games, books, maps and activities for children. We visited in early June which was a great time with lots of lovely alpine flowers. Most of the walking routes were accessible although there was still quite a bit of snow on some of the higher paths in the area. Just to point out since we didn't realise, Swiss plugs are different to those in many other European countries and so you need to bring the correct adaptors if coming from outside Switzerland. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We were very warmly welcomed by Silvia. Check-in went very smoothly. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and enjoyed spending time there. Silvia gave us great tips for the area. The absolute highlight is the balcony and the pool. We will be happy to come back!

A wonderful and beautiful place to disconnect from the busy world. Marylene’s place has the feel of a family home and the space to really unwind and relax. It is cosy and comfortable and waking up to this special view every morning is like nothing else.

My vacation week in Ruth's small, fine apartment was perfect. There is more than everything you need, even for cooking, nothing is missing. I particularly appreciated the quiet location with beautiful views and the cool apartment (despite summer temperatures outside). Ruth is a very helpful, courteous and very experienced host. She always has good tips and recommendations for guests who are not yet familiar with the area. Looking forward to the next stay!

The location was perfect with a fantastic view in all room, the amenities were great, and the host was very friendly and helpful, they also prepared very nice breakfast for guests. Sweet spot in small town not too far from the lake. Great walking trails right by the home to different villages and view points. Host is very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Pool was fabulous and very refreshing. Great place all around.

Clear recommendation 😍 Communication was great and quick response. The view from the balcony is really like a picture book. We were always alone at the pool and from there you also have a great panoramic view. Parasol etc. everything was available. Check-in well described and easy. Apartment looks like the pictures (couch is a little small for two but matches the photos). Location also perfect, the ferry docks at the port in Gravedona and you can get from A to B easily. The city is within walking distance and very authentic compared to other places on Lake Como, which are only overrun by tourists.

We had wonderful days in this very special place. Great overgrown (banana trees!!) and very large outdoor area, we actually swam in the lake every day, which was a highlight for us. The apartment is furnished as in the pictures in the listing with older furniture, especially the 2nd bedroom is sparsely furnished, but was also not used by us. The kitchen, however, is brand new and superbly equipped (coffee machine has already been mentioned several times here). Ursi and Enrico welcomed us very warmly and provided us with good tips for the area, there was also a helpful parking map for free use of the parking spaces along the river. In short, we felt very comfortable, 1000 thanks and we will be happy to come back.
