“I stayed with Franco and Anna for 2 and half months whilst attending university classes at Ca’Foscari in Dorsoduro and I cannot recommend them and their house enough! The location of their house is convenient to everywhere in Venice, which in itself is a very walkable place, with the Rialto bridge and San Marco 5/10 Mins away. It is also less that 5 minutes away from a supermarket, a nice bar and very near the best of Venice’s public libraries (my favourite being Querini). You’ll have you’re own key and you’re free to come and go as you please- although a word of warning- their house is the top floor of a building with no lift so whilst there is no aqua Alta risk be prepared for 80stairs! The house itself is spotlessly clean. The room is comfortable and offers plenty of storage. Anna changes bedding and towels every weekend and the upstairs bathroom is for your (and sometimes one other guests) exclusive use and again is immaculate. You are free to use the kitchen as you please and it is well stocked with pots, pans and all the appliances you would expect (including an oven) and there’s cupboard and fridge space for you. Anna and Franco are also very pleasant hosts to stay with. Franco speaks English very well and Anna too up to a point. Franco was kind enough to meet me and see me back to the airport boat stop and help with my luggage and is always available if you have any questions. Anna too is very lovely and, especially if you can speak or want to learn italian, is great for market, site seeing and cooking advice. Overall a very comfortable stay in Venice!”
Renovated in March 2018. In the beautiful Dorsoduro district, a few steps from the Guggenheim museum and collection, close to the Salute church but also to the Accademia Gallery. The apartment is located one vaporetto stop from San Marco and is the ideal point to discover Venice also thanks to the proximity of the public transport stops. Recently renovated, carefully furnished, equipped with all the necessary comforts to enjoy a pleasant stay.
“Maria's apartment is a little gem in Venice. Tucked away in a small street centrally located, we have been within walking (or short vaporetto ride) distance from most attractions in Venice. Since we were only staying one night, we decided to park at Tronchetto Parking, from where we took the vaporetto #2 and it was very easy from there to arrive at Maria's place. A single vaporetto ride is €7.50 or €15 return - we decided instead to book the 24 hour ticket that allows unlimited rides for €20 and it was well worth it to explore the city. Self-check in was easy, and I must say the apartment is so well thought in terms of space, smartly designed and beautifully decorated, classy, with quality and with so much attention to detail! As we checked out the next day in the morning we still wanted to explore the city and Maria recommended us to look for luggage storage in the city - we found vaise.it with a convenient location close to the Rialto bridge, and we were able to enjoy a few extra hours without dragging our belongings through the city. We really loved staying at Maria's place and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for letting us stay!”
