Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Mittelland District

The stay, as it were in my closer home, was excellent in all respects! I was already welcomed at the train station by the very helpful hostess Chantal, who moved my heavy suitcase to the lovingly furnished accommodation, where I immediately felt comfortable, which then manifested itself every night in an excellent sleep. With cooking in the richly equipped kitchen, exciting conversations, together with her partner Marc, and excursions in the charming surroundings, the week passed in flight. I highly recommend staying with Chantal and Marc to anyone looking for tranquility in stylish simplicity, a beautiful area and warm-hearted hosts !

This place is truly wonderful. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday stay. Very clean with modern amenities where needed. Beautiful decorations of historic pieces and local furnishings. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Appenzell and short drive to St.Gallen. The host is also great to work with. She is very kind, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend for a peaceful and convenient stay!

Beautiful location even without leaving the house, just looking through windows or on balcony. But otherwise within 30 mins driving anywhere you go it's a pleasure, particularly if you like hiking. House is very comfortable and quiet, we particularly were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was - even if we did not have food with us on arrival we would not be hungry 😀. So far I'd say our favorite area in whole Switzerland and great location. All kinds of local information is provided by hosts, including maps - very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. When we come back to Switzerland this is the area we would like to come back to most and explore further and this is the house we would consider renting first, if available. Host was also very responsive, which always is appreciated.

A beautiful home set in magical scenery. Katharina & Markus were warm, welcoming and accommodating hosts. Apartment was well equipped & clean. Highlights were the hike from Hoher Kasten to Saxer Lücke and from the apartment to Kaienspitz (summit 1122m) on to Fünfländerblick and ending in Rorschach. All in all a fabulous trip for a joint son’s 30th birthday and Father’s Day treat.

Was only with her for one night. The price can be higher for the apartment in Switzerland! Everything worked out wonderfully, thank you

Roger’s place is an absolute hidden gem! The place was impeccably clean and had everything I needed, and more. It’s located in a peaceful and beautiful area at a relatively higher altitude, offering amazing views from all sides. The sunsets every night were especially dreamy. We felt lucky to have found this place and definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the beauty of Appenzell. Thanks, Roger!

A very nice apartment with everything you need and a beautiful view of the cathedral! The only small criticism: right next to the bed is a small skylight that cannot be darkened, which is why (in summer) it gets bright very early in the morning in the apartment. I would come back!

Lea's place is great. In the green location, directly overlooking the Apenzellerland to Lake Constance. The apartment is cozily and tastefully furnished. There's nothing missing. Even a small shop is available if you need anything. In addition, there are many suggestions for what to do and the apartment invites you to linger with games and outdoor spaces.

Really nice appartment perfectly located in Walenstadt. It's a two-bedroom apartment with a separate kitchen and both roomy bathroom and living/diningroom. Highlight is the nice view from the living room as well as the outside area. Fully and well equipped: comfortable beds, the kitchen incl. dish-washing and coffee machines, living room featuring TV incl. gaming console, grill in the exterior area. Some details went beyond expectations: bathroom with pleasant toileteries, complete equipment to grill outside. Location is really convenient. Aprox 10 min walk from both the centre of Walenstadt, as well as from the lake and the big playground for the kids. The area is residential area, at the very end of street hence quite and reassuring for the kids playing outside. Michaela was a wonderful host, preparing the appartment up to details, and also answering questions and helping us to make the stay even more convenient. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Jana is a friendly host. Very helpful and outgoing. We felt comfortable. The apartment is very clean and spacious. We were allowed to use the sauna for a small fee. Highly recommendable.

It was such a great house that you could say "I wish this apartment was mine"! It was a very peaceful, enjoyable, wonderful accommodation that I never wanted to leave. I must say that I had a hard time leaving. Everything was very nice. The apartment was modern. The hosts were extremely friendly, understanding and sweet people. Our family of 5 used Nicole's place in Unterterzen as a home base to visit Switzerland. The apartment was clean, larger than we expected based on the pictures and description, and easily walkable to the train station and grocery store. The kitchen was very well appointed compared to other Airbnb's. The lake and surroundings are grogeous, with easily walkable paths and is close to the Gondola up to Flumersberg and the ferry to other cities around the lake. Everything at the apartment was operational and instructions from Nicole for checkin / checkout were very clear. Nicole was responsive to any questions and needs. We very much enjoyed our stay in Unterterzen and had many memorable experiences we will carry for the rest of our lives.

Beautiful apartment located right on the water. This was an amazing experience for my family. Had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy! We had an amazing time! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Amazing views and excellent location.

The place was easy to find and is located in a beautiful area that invites you to walk. It was quiet and the place was clean and lovingly furnished. The hosts also responded quickly, which, however, was only shown to me when I was back in the apartment, since I had limited Internet on my cell phone while traveling. 😅 You just have to see how you want to walk from the train station to the accommodation. We walked different paths these days and then found the perfect path for us. In addition, the surroundings are so beautiful that we also quickly forgot how much we actually walked. What we also had to pay attention to was that we did not bring any animals into the accommodation. 😅😂 There was a situation where we wanted to open the front door and then a frog was sitting at the bottom of the door. Fortunately, we saw it in time. I can definitely recommend it 🙏🙏

My apartment was in a great location. perfect for riding my bicycle. The apartment is very comfortable with everything one needs.
