Vacation rentals with a patio in Lothian

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. This apartment exceeded expectations in all areas. Alison is an exceptionally friendly owner providing helpful information regarding attractions, restaurants, and even information to help those of us from the US acclimate to the area. The apartment is in an excellent area to explore both New and Old Town with an area to park a smallish vehicle. The apartment is spacious and met all of our needs and beyond. I would definitely come here again.

Damian’s place was great! Close enough to hop on a bus and be to town within a few stops, but also super quiet at night. A great little grocery store around the corner. It was clean and stocked with all the essentials we could have needed! Also, quick to respond with any questions we had about directions, with many tips that we did end up using! Thank you, Damian, for the stay!

Absolutely brilliant stay for us to catch up with friends. Really lovely communication with the owners, seemless check in and departure. Utterly beautiful house with everything we needed and some nice touches like sturdy plastic wine glasses for the hot tub! Just brilliant. Will recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

Staying in Portobello while visiting Edinburgh for the marathon was wonderful - just a quick 30 minute bus ride to city center and so peaceful each night. The guest house had everything we needed and was very clean. The hosts were so personable and lovely. Would absolutely stay again!

I had a lovely stay in Midlothian. The house was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. It was a perfect base to explore Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The host was friendly and helpful, and everything was just as described. I truly enjoyed the stay and would love to return in the future. Highly recommended!

Me and my friends visited this property, and this is one of the best properties we stayed. It was so beautiful and homey. Norrane is very lovely lady. She also guide us with all nearby places and afcourse, if we are coming back to Edinburgh then definitely would like to stay here again...

A home away from home ❤️ The house was lovely, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I was travelling with parents and a small child - so split levels meant everyone could have their own space and a big communal area on the ground floor which was perfect for us all. Location was great. A short cab ride into town, but walkable too. Close by to Arthur’s Seat, which is a must to do while in Edinburgh. Karen and Carina are amazing hosts, very responsive and went above and beyond for us. Would highly recommend! Thank you.

We had a lovely 5 night stay! Check in was fine, no problems. The interior is very comfortable and tastefully designed displaying original art and all furnishings are of a high quality. The kitchen is large with everything one would need to prepare a complex meal, excluding condiments and spice, so bring your own. Oil, coffee and salt and pepper are provided. The bedrooms are nice and comfy. The steel tub, in one of the bedrooms, is splendid. Plus there’s plenty of hot water to fill it! We sat in the pretty garden, it’s lush with mature shrubs and flowering plants…but be aware of the stinging nettle. My dog got her paws badly stung and I had brushed into some myself for a whole day of annoying tingling. Bring some Benadryl just incase. If you’re avid walkers, definitely explore the grounds, gardens, pond and tower, all stunning. It’s a large holding, lots to explore. Alexander was very responsive and accommodating. But book now, we noticed future prices are going up!

Fantastic holiday cottage, perfectly located near town centre and good shops, gorgeous decor and immaculately clean. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The garden was beautiful and full of birdsong. Would definitely recommend, and look forward to a return visit.

We had a great experience in Edinburgh, the house is beautiful, clear and comfortable. Ben and his team are very friendly, and always give us a great support. I would recommend who plans to visit Edinburgh and stay in here.

We loved our stay! The Flat is beautiful and just as advertised. Samantha left instructions on how to best use the washer and dryer which is big for us since they're very different in the US. A beautiful walk up the hill to all the main attractions as well as 2 or 3 grocery stores a short walk. Restaurants were close and easy to find variety. We parked free over the weekend. We were able to walk to and from the car rental. It's a quiet location so everyone slept well. Samantha was very responsive with any questions we had. I highly recommend a stay!

Natalie is awesome, super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed Natalie’s restaurant recommendations, there is a cute area with a pub and wine bar close to the house which served great fish and chips and appetizers at the wine bar. Fantastic stay.

We had a lovely one-night stay as a family of four. The place was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The sunroom was an absolute highlight – so peaceful and bright, perfect for relaxing. The host was friendly and communicative, making check-in a breeze. Perfect for a short stopover – we only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Highly recommended.

This is a lovely condo in a really beautiful location on the Fife coastal path. We really enjoyed relaxing here after a busy wedding weekend in St Andrews, and we wished we could have stayed more than just one night. Probably the cleanest airbnb I have ever been to. Karen was kind enough to let us check out late. We are already hoping to return!

Kate is a wonderful host, clear and timely communication and responsive to any issues. Her place is great, clean, comfortable, and provides good separation from family areas and sleeping areas, important when traveling with three generations of family. Location was perfect and remarkably quiet.

We had a lovely stay at. Catherine's place. Everything was so inviting, very clean and comfortable. Catherine was very responsive and kind. There was a seating area outside to enjoy the countryside. She left us a lovely breakfast for each day we spent there. This included porridge, cereal, toast and homemade jams,butter and milk. She also left us a welcome package of shortbread cookies. Thank you Catherine!

An exceptional apartment with an exceptional host. The place is quiet, spacious, super clean, super comfortable. The entire apartment was beautifully decorated and had useful as well as interesting books. The living room/dining room is huge and pleasant to relax in. The kitchen had everything we needed and was stocked with lots of staples. The outdoor garden sitting area is beautiful. We really enjoyed staying here. Pierson is a great communicator and was helpful from our first inquiry all through our visit and checkout. Stockbridge is a perfect area to stay in: walking distance to all attractions in Edinburgh but a village in its own right with great shops and food. Do not miss I. J. Mellis Cheesemongers. They have so many cheeses from local UK and small producers. Their staff is friendly and happy to offer samples and teach. We had a wonderful long afternoon at the nearby Botanic Garden. We will be back!

We felt very much at home in Hamish's flat.Although quite compact there was everything we needed .So many interesting books on the shelves - if only we had time to read them.😀The armchair was so comfy we had to take turns ! It really felt like a home from home. The position of the flat was perfect, so close to the 2 best pubs in the town. We loved Broughty Ferry, it has everything.Sadly it rained quite a bit so no sitting on the beach but we did walk along the promenade which is a lovely walk. If we come to this area again we would certainly choose Hamish's place.
