House vacation rentals in Lothian

We had a fantastic weekend staying here to celebrate my best friend. The house is gorgeous with so much space! The photos do not do it justice! There was a lovely pool and hot tub. Sarah came by to make sure we’d settled in and was available if we needed anything. We’d even got a later check out which was a great bonus. Everyone had a great time! I will definitely recommend booking The Granary! I would love to come back for another trip. Sarah had also left us a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us which was a lovely touch we appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay! Everything was clean and the bedroom were very nice with comfortable beds. The house had a very cozzy feeling to it. We didn’t had the right plugs for the phone charger and they were nice enough to borrow us 4. On the day of our check out we needed ice to put in the insulin container of my mom and they went above and beyond to get some ice for us, really thankful for that! Overall I would really recommend this place. Location was great too, close by to the beach and restaurants and just 1 hour away from Edinburgh

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and well-equipped, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Peaceful rural area with some nice walks and local wildlife around. The pool and jacuzzi were also super clean and a great addition. Highly recommended!

Host was very friendly with very good communication throughout. On arrival the host made it very easy to get into the lodge and came in and explained all amenities on site and was very polite. Overall, throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return.

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

A fabulous lodge on a great site. So comfortable with everything you could want. Beautiful bedding and towels. Great showers. Lovely 5 ring cooker and plenty pits and pans. Tanya was great leading up to the visit making sure we had all the info we needed. Very responsive when we had one or two questions. The only minor issue we had is that there is no terrestial tv due to location. We had to use apps on our phone. Highly recommended.

Truly amazing views, exceeding our expectations. Fun and friendly site and space for our grandson too. Perfect host and a simply special place for a total break away from the city noise. Thank You ⭐️

We used the house as a base for our motorcycle touring holiday and it was fantastic. We had everything we needed and absolutely no issues or concerns throughout our stay. Definitely worth the money and the location and parking couldn't have been better.

We had a lovely stay here for the weekend. Marcin was very helpful anytime we had a question for him.

This lovely cabin ticked all the boxes required to suit 7 adults from families coming together from afar, different generations, and physical abilities. Spacious yet cozy. The conservatory table was perfect for hysterical games of UNO while the weather dazzled us with its fickle self outside the giant windows, shifting from glorious rainbows over the hills, thunderous rain, and sparkling sunrises. Walks from the cabin were enjoyed by everyone. A Park and Ride into Edinburgh and a short drive to Peebles made days out easy. We had an unexpected plumbing issue and it was sorted out immediately while we were out. All said they slept well and the shower pressure/supply of hot water is fantastic. Underfloor heating is great. would happily stay again!

Me and my friends visited this property, and this is one of the best properties we stayed. It was so beautiful and homey. Norrane is very lovely lady. She also guide us with all nearby places and afcourse, if we are coming back to Edinburgh then definitely would like to stay here again...

I could not recommend Henrietta’s place more highly. The house and surrounding area are even more beautiful than the pictures. We found the taxi service the best way to reach Edinburgh. We would defiantly book again!

The best Airbnb that we have ever stayed in! From the moment we stepped in, the place has such a wow factor and even smells amazing. We only stayed for one night and were gutted to leave.

Great location with views of fields whilst being within easy access to Edinburgh. Friendly welcome on arrival. Very clean and tidy. Well furnished with everything you would need in the kitchen. Lovely stay and I would highly recommend.

We loved the decor - so many lovely touches and were really comfortable. The 26 bus meant we were really well connected to Edinburgh and the pretty coast.

Our booking was a very last minute family emergency situation. I was dealing with Charlotte who was absolutely brilliant. The house was made ready at only a few hours notice. The house provided everything we could possibly have needed, especially peace and comfort during a very stressful time. Communication throughout was outstanding with genuine care for our situation. Great and clean house approximately 40 min. away from the city center. We were with the 4 of us and 2 of us had to sleep in the living room, but if you're not home that much that is not a problem at all. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, and despite it not being close by any of the main tourist attractions of the city, the public transport to and from the city was relatively fast. The hosts were nice and easy to communicate with. Overall, a great place to stay! Would definitely recommend :)

Would highly recommend staying in this lovely home! It is in a great location if visiting the area! Only 8 minutes from park and ride into Edinburgh and local walks on door step. The house is lovely with large bedrooms and lounge/ dining area

Melissa’s place is amazing. 5 stars! There are a lot of wow characters in her place. The place is huge for just the two of us. The kitchen is spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. The room is very comfortable and warm. We did not have to use public transport at all to get to all of the tourist spots. It is close to lots of the main sight seeing spots. Very convenient. Melissa is very friendly and helpful. She is very proactively with her communication. We supposed to contact her before we arrive but I did not read the instructions. She contacted us and sorted things. We only stay 2 days in Edinburgh, which we could stay for longer! Would stay in Melissa’s place again! Highly recommend it!

lovely place to stop before hitting Edinburgh. love the football field right in front of the house. walkable to coop groceries. all stuffs functioning well.

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

We stayed eight nights in the East Lodge. 2 adults, 2 dogs. Probably the best stay we have had in Scotland and we have stayed in many places over the years. The lodge was perfect for us, charming and well equipped. The setting was exactly what we wanted, peaceful, secluded but also close to villages and local towns. And last but not least, Alexander was the perfect host in every way. We are already planning for a return visit!

This place is amazing, Jacqui was fantastic, we loved The Annexe, and are already planning going back.

Wonderful and friendly host who made our trip that much better. House was exactly as described and G left clear instructions and also a binder of information about the house and local recommendations which made the stay easier. Would be back in an instant.
