Chalet vacation rentals in Lothian

How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

Lovely lodge situated 10 minutes away from Loch Lomond! Views from the lodge are absolutely stunning. We loved looking for the bunnies in the field and bird watching. Lots of useful amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower pressure was not the best but it did the job and heated up quickly. Great WiFi speed. Great enclosed grass area for dogs and you are allowed to walk around the owners field to go and see the sheep and lambs. The owners were lovely and friendly too, Lesley was brill on check in, showing us how to use all the different things and gave lots of recommendations of things to do in the surrounding area.

We had a fantastic stay. The location is brilliant and we were made to feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The cottage has everything required to cook and enjoy some nice time at home and near plenty of locations. Highly recommend!

we had a lovely stay at the lodge. it was safe for my kids to play as the outside area is enclosed, and the fence gives privacy when in the hot tub. there was an issue outside the hosts control but they were extremely proactive in resolving it. they were very responsive when contacted and really pleasant to deal with.

The Clyde View cottage was just what we were looking for; rural, a great view, peaceful, a short drive to the Glasgow airport, and a feeling of seclusion. Even though there is a similar cottage on either side, the orientation and fencing give you privacy and a view over the sheep pasture and the River Clyde in the distance, feeling like you are all alone. The interior is tastefully decorated and perfect for two people. The hot tub was ready to use and we availed ourselves of the washing machine also. Make sure that you have time to hang dry your clothes, we didn't and ended up using the hair dryer! It's a quick 15 minute drive to GLA; no more than from downtown Glasgow, and much less traffic. A nice touch was the basket of local snacks and small bottle of prosecco. Cottage was super clean, welcoming and everything seemed very new. Highly recommended! Oregon/Alaska, USA

I’ve stayed in a few Airbnb over the years, but this stands out for me. Everything was perfect. I’ve never seen such a well equipped rental property. And it was scrupulously clean. The views were beautiful. And Kay and her family were so friendly and helpful. I’ve recommended the chalet to friends who are expecting a disabled person for a party. Kay has thought of everything to make a stay for a disabled person easier.

Lovey stay at the chalet, set in a beautiful location. The chalet is equipped with everything you need. Kathleen is a wonderful host and at hand if you need anything. Would thoroughly recommend and would return here again.

My partner and I had a lovely time staying in the wee oak tree pod. It was very relaxing weekend and we look forward to our next trip.

We had a wonderful short break at Cameron and Lucy's estate. The house itself was utterly beautiful, very stylish, and everything has been thought of, and it's got huge amounts of space for everyone to find a quiet corner and enjoy the spectacular views. The beds are very comfortable and the whole house works really well. There are a number of self catering chalets on the estate with a range of prices and styles, so if you're looking for somewhere for groups of family or friends, then this is a perfect option. One tiny detail is that there is an additional charge to bring dogs, so if you're planning to do so, it's worth contacting the estate first to find out the charges for it - it's not shown on this site, but don't let that put you off! We all had a great time, and hope to visit again soon. Thank you both

This place was phenomenal. Stunning setting, great location with good access to St Andrews and surrounding golf courses. The place was kitted out with everything we needed, absolutely spotless and very luxury. Stephen was a fantastic host - super responsive and helpful. We will be back!!!

The Manor Party Lodge was perfect for a girlie weekend with 7 friends. We had an amazing time. The lodge was clean and well maintained and the hot-tub was wonderful. Cleaning staff were nice and friendly. We would definitely book again.

Great stay at Silverwood, Really nice clean lodge in a peaceful location.

Location was really good being 10 minutes from St Andrews yet still peaceful. Attention to detail was great with oils for cooking, tea bags/milk etc and a bluetooth speaker. Hot tub was perfect temperature and easy to use, we all agreed that this was the best lodge we have stayed at so far.

Altogether a lovely long weekend away, this place is perfect if you like to get out walking the hills etc, all the amenities in the lodge where more than I expected and would definitely stay here again in the future, we where a group of 15 and there was more than enough space and bathroom facilities, all in all I’d recommend the Rabbie burns lodge, just one piece of advice and this does not reflect on the place it’s self, if you book here and decided to order takeaway the only restaurant on just eat is an Indian place it’s absolutely terrible and extremely over priced so avoid that at all costs but there are plenty of menus in the lodge for other takeaways which we found later on Great place to go though thanks lynne

Cameron on site was excellent. He had great local recommendations. The house was fantastic with a lovely view of the Loch. Cute on site visitors center with snacks, food, and drinks for sale. Portnellian was such a great estate.

Had a such a lovely stay with family. Great directions and check in instructions, cabin was spotless and beds very comfortable. Christmas tree and decor added to the trip, whilst weather wasn’t kind, views were still stunning. Kitchen had everything we needed, overall a lovely festive break.

Rhonda was very welcoming and easy to talk to, accomadation was located superbly, and as we were travelling with young kids, worked very well for us with the play area upstairs and garden space.

Lovely place to stay with a beautiful view of the Loch. Very quiet and private and just 5 mins walk to local village with cafe, pub, shop.

Everything you would expect and more! Amazing location, great accommodation and even better hosts. A weekend thoroughly enjoyed and well will be back again
