Vacation rentals with lake access in Kent

Great place, very close to high street and very easy to get to. Nice pub nearby and lovely town overall. Tim was really helpful and responsive too. Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy cottage! It looks exactly like the photos—very charming and idyllic, with a beautiful garden that adds to the peaceful vibe. If you’re traveling with pets, this is a great spot—our dog had a great time roaming freely in the secure, enclosed garden, which also offers a lot of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, though it’s a bit on the smaller side, as is the living area. That said, there’s plenty of storage space throughout the cottage, which made it very convenient for a longer stay. The bedroom was comfortable. One thing to note: there’s a busy road nearby, so you can hear some traffic during the day. It didn’t bother us at all, and the evenings and nights were quiet.

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend as a family of 3 and throughly enjoyed staying at Herons Nest! Jill’s communication prior to our booking was brilliant and extremely helpful. The caravan had everything we needed for our stay, including some complimentary snacks & drinks! We enjoyed playing with the selection of games and our son did lots of colouring in. Romney Park offers many activities for children and the evening entertainment was brilliant. We would highly recommend Heron’s Nest and hope to stay in the future. Thanks again to Jill & Geoff! Paul's cozy house was perfect for our family of four. We loved having the Stour river walk right outside our door, and High Street shops and museums close by. Paul was helpful in explaining how to adjust the thermostat when the weather turned chilly one evening. A lovely host!

Was very clean and modern mutual interior. This was my mums dream home perfect size for the 4 of us. The communication was very speedy.

Amazing location just behind a sand dune off amber beach. Perfect place to stay with kids, lots of games and activities if it’s raining and the beach for when it’s not! Great and clean facilities - everything you could need for an escape to the seaside!

We had a fab time perfect location to explore the beach with kids and be back home again in no time to warm up. Plenty of space inside even with four kids playing.

We had a comfortable stay at Claudia's apartment. It is a brand new development. Communication with Claudia was good with quick responses. We had a minor issue upon arrival which was solved fairly quickly following a call with Claudia. Also, the check in instructions could be a little clearer for which we have provided feedback so this should be better for anyone staying after us!

It was our first time staying in a chalet and we loved it, the retro decor was great, we would certainly stay again, my only whinge is that there was no Ironing board, but no real hardship, all in all we had a fantastic stay

My first time down romney sands with my girlfriend. We both loved the location of shingle bay 11 and it was really peaceful location of the hoilday park. Julie was an execellent host and couldnt fault her. She and scott came out to sort out the tv in the bedroom for us. Im defo going to book shingle bay 11 in the future hoilday. Also you looking for a peaceful hoilday shingle bay 11 is the place for you.

The apartment was perfect, not only for its location but the amenities made it feel extra luxurious and elevated, it was also very well equipped; the bath robes were a very nice touch and the bed was unbelievably comfortable . Robbie was extremely friendly and attentive host, very hospitable and easy to get a hold of. The jacuzzi bath and massage chair made this the perfect stay. Can’t wait to visit again, would highly recommend!

Our family had a wonderful few days at the gorgeous Oast House property. Stunning setting with views across the fields. Local walks were great and maps available, along with local attractions all close by. Heather prepared an amazing meal for us which was well worth the money and the property had everything we needed for a peaceful and enjoyable few days away from the big smoke. The guest book in the property says it all about what a fantastic place this is. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Our stay at the cottage was exactly what we required. The location was ideal, the surroundings and grounds were great. The accommodation was great and Jo was a very responsive host. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

Absolutely lovely cottage. In town for a family wedding this was perfect. If looking for charm and a great location to go places in Kent from this is perfect. Richard was a great host, friendly and leaving us plenty of information on how things work. The location is great for those who enjoy the countryside. Take a walk on the local footpaths, enjoy the soothing flow of the nearby river. Thank you Richard.

Lovely accomodation! Although we were only able to stay for a short while, we still had a lovely time. We thoroughly enjoyed the woodland walk (and so did our two chihuahuas). The property was immaculate too. Thank you!

Diana and her husband live in a wonderful place, and we feel so grateful for the experience we had there! The surrounding country side is superb, the cottage is functional, clean, well decorated. We just spent one of our best family holidays ever! Thank you!

Carey & Sarah's place was perfect for our young family. Spotlessly clean and in a great location to access Camber and Rye. Beds were very comfy and the house had everything we could need, including high chair, stair gates and playroom which made staying with small children very stressfree! We will definitely return :)

Perfect place for our family of four to stay for a peaceful and secluded retreat for a couple of nights. The cottage was lovely and the grounds and surrounding garden were beautiful. My two primary school aged daughters loved spending time in the swimming pool and even attempted to play a bit of tennis! Caroline was a brilliant host and keen to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Super friendly and always clear and responsive with communication. Would love to stay here again some time and hope we get a chance to do so!

Excellent setting for us as we like walking. This is certainly NOT a criticism but a couple of board games would be a good idea. We had an excellent stay and the fabulous weather helped Thank you
