Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Illinois River

This house was fantastic! The backyard was a huge hit with my family – perfect for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. Inside, there were tons of games, which kept everyone entertained. Plus, the location was super convenient, with an awesome brewery and plenty of stores just down the road. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing getaway! Andy and Marie were super helpful and responsive. They even worked with me on flexibility with check out as much as they could. I will definitely consider staying at one of their properties again if I’m ever in the area.

We had a relaxing time staying at this wonderful place for two nights. The house has plenty of space, was well-stocked and was quite peaceful. We particularly enjoyed having coffee and breakfast on the back deck, where it seems you’re the only people in the world. The basketball court, swings and lovely sitting area by the pond were also a huge bonus in this space. There were multiple MASSIVE catfish and cute little fishies to feed and watch, which made it that much more special. Thanks for a great wonderful getaway!

We had a great stay at Brickway Retreat. Easy check in, easy check out. House is very spacious and relaxing. We only stayed one night so we didn’t get to enjoy all the house has to offer but we did enjoy that huge TV and the comfortable couch and beds.

2nd year staying here for my birthday with all my friends and it’s so much fun every time. So much to do while having your own privacy and plans with comfortable rules to abide by. It’s like a new home with a bunch of cool games and amenities, definitely recommend! Great host, leaves you to it and is responsive. Best birthdays ever here.

Great location in Ottawa, short drives to Buffalo Rock and Starved Rock state parks. The themed rooms were so much fun for our whole family!

Well decorated with all the necessities. Quiet location. Added bonus of garage access is always appreciated. Bonus game shed was nice touch after long day of driving. Wonderful attention to detail.

I enjoyed staying at Brandon’s place. This is my second time staying at this cozy home while visiting family in Decatur. He has everything one would need to cook a large meal. The entire space is very comfortable. Thanks for providing a place for me to stay while visiting in Decatur.

It was the perfect cozy & relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the jacuzzi. We relaxed around the fire pit. It was peaceful sitting in the porch in the morning, love the hanging chair.

My husband and I were just looking for a staycation spot not far from home when we came across “Wilson’s Place” I was absolutely shocked, the pictures do no justice. The place is stunning, clean and very private! I look forward to staying again soon! The kitchen and bathroom are amazing. The design of this apartment is like no other. Truly a one of a kind experience!

We held five-year old baby goats! They were so incredibly adorable. Cannot promise you will get the same chance (it is up to the goats) but this is a working farm, so there is always something going on. Very friendly, helpful hosts. Will happily visit again (and possibly help trim the grapevines)... :) Thanks all!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful little cabin! Everything was immaculate, charming, and comfortable! The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. The area around the home was so pretty and peaceful. And, the candlelight to come home to in the evening was a special touch! Highly recommend this home! Brittany was a very gracious host!!

The cabin was very nice and in a quiet place - exactly as described. The host was very helpful with questions and responded quickly. I'd recommend the place to anyone interested in this area.

Our family of 5 loved our visit to the Aikman Wildlife Adventure and the stay here at the Airbnb. Loved the deck and fire pit and got to see the reindeer and other deer up right near the kitchen window in the morning. So fun to see camels and other animals across the pond too. Appreciated that everything was fenced in making it safe for our young kids to wander about. Would recommend!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful, such a fun place to reconnect with friends and family for the weekend! Kristin was so hospitable and thoughtful. Every need was anticipated, from extra blankets and towels to a basket of treats when we walked in. Above all, Kristin was incredibly responsive and helpful during our stay and was always available for any questions we had. Such a kind and thoughtful host. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at the Grafton Getaway was perfect! It was the perfect place for a peaceful girls trip get away. Brandon reached out before our stay to tell me about the different events in town and was extremely responsive when I had questions.

What an amazing place. We had a great relaxing time. Brought our 3 dogs and they had a blast. From running around checking out every square inch of the property, to checking out all the local wildlife (our rescue dog finally got to see his first deer) and they were so confused with the local turtle, they thoroughly loved running and swimming in the pond (well the chihuahua said no thanks to the water). The decor was perfect with great instructions inside (like all the light switches were labeled with what they control..so helpful!) The porch that is gated/fenced off so you can sit on the porch with the dogs and not worry they will run off was perfect! Had a great time fishing in the pond and capping off the evenings with a relaxing fire in the fire pit! And if you catch a fish and he flops in your hand and jabs and burys a treble hook in your finger, the Blessings hospital in Quincy is only 38 minutes away and do a great job getting the hook out..I'm jussayin.. 🤷‍♂️
