Thomas’s place was such a peaceful retreat in between hiking the several state parks in the area! Only 10 minutes from Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park, and several great local restaurants just down the street. A beautiful master bathroom to boot!

What a beautiful loft type feel. The balcony was so nice with the view of the river, bridge, and everything else. Lots of cute shops just steps away. Plenty of parking and felt very very safe. Booked for a girl's weekend and instantly booked again for a few weeks away. Mike is amazing and you can tell he knows what people need to keep them comfortable.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the Mississippi. It's roomy and the four of us who stayed were never in each others way for anything. We requested an early check in and Mike was quick to approve it. Mike also had some good suggestions for places to watch sports nearby. The property is walking distance from a number of good places to eat and Post Commons makes some great coffee. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in Melissa's space. The photos were accurate, the space was clean, the kitchen was well-appointed with all we needed as far as plates, utensils, etc. plus delicious coffee add ins. Both beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. The rooftop patio is a cute little extra, and the skylights in the main space are very cool. Check-in time was flexible and super easy. The listing is a studio, but it is very spacious and everyone in our group of four had plenty of room. It is also in the downtown area and close to the river---walking to shops or places to eat is a great option, as is walking and exploring along the river. We would definitely stay again.

Rick & Barbs place was absolutely spectacular I had my parents stop by for thanksgiving diner, it was nice to be in my home town I only wish Connie’s had been open. Rick and barbs kitchen was fabulous, this was probably the most amazing studio I’ve ever been in. I’d definitely stay here again when I visit town.

Several cousins, my wife, and I stayed at the Cracker Factory and used the Eagle's Nest Loft as the gathering place for my late Mom's celebration of life this May. This was probably my 4th or 5th stay in one or another of Mike's Cracker Factory suites. As usual, Mike was a great host. Due to the unique reason we all were there this time, Mike was very helpful in suggesting how we might set up the Eagle's Nest Loft to accommodate our 29 guests and the catering crew. The loft was perfect for this function, with plenty of seating and tables as the loft is normally furnished, and plenty of back-up tables and chairs, which we did not need. The Cracker Factory is a great place to stay in downtown Alton, be it for a solo visit with an overnighter in the Piasa Suite, or as a place for a family reunion in the Eagle's Nest Loft, which includes two bedrooms. We had a really nice time. This place is just like the pictures, maybe even better in person. The location is perfect and right downtown so very convenient for all the local bars and restaurants. Gentry and Kimberly were great hosts and really responsive to all messages.

Wonderful stay! My 15 year old not only said it was her favorite Airbnb that we've had, she also said she wants to buy it and live there!! Tim and Joanie are great hosts who have really thought of everything! Country living at its best!

Had an amazing stay! I was there for an entire month while working at a local hospital and this was the perfect place. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I can’t recommend this place enough for a reunion or weekend getaway. The space is gorgeous, bigger than expected, and packed with thoughtful amenities. The host was very responsive, even when I lost my keys at midnight. 😗 I’ve found my new favorite stay in downtown Champaign.

Our family enjoyed staying and we will be back! They had Ac on for us and it felt great and it was very warm day..The host walked you right through everything you needed and more. We have twin boys and we were are always running behind and the host offered us for a little later check out and it was very much appreciated. Thank you!!
