“Ok. Our daughter was moving into a dorm at UW. And we had forgotten to mention we were towing a U-haul trailer. Our host, Angie, was extremely gracious about it. The space is beautiful. Many really great authors. And there is this old fashioned pop/beer machine; glass bottles. Excellent selection. Costs a quarter to buy each beverage but they provide the quarters. Found that not only welcoming but very amusing. It’s a short drive to UW and downtown. And there is this beautiful fountain in the front yard. Extremely comfortable bed. Clean, clean, and did I mention clean. It felt like I was home; only cleaner. Loved it. Hope to stay again. Thank you!!!”
We are located in a unique pocket of downtown Madison, directly across from Brittingham Park, Monona Bay, Brittingham Boat Rental, & a bike/walking/running path. We are a short walk from UW-Madison, Hospitals, State Street & the Capitol. You will love our welcoming neighborhood with views of Monona Bay from our porch. We have two friendly cat and one friendly dog who stay upstairs with us, but you could see them wandering outside. We have been inspected and are licensed with the City of Madison.
“We had a wonderful time staying at their place. The space was perfect for two people. We were able to enjoy some great sleep with the comfy bed and noise maker provided. The bathroom is huge and plenty of space for both of us to get ready at the same time. The location was absolutely perfect and was close to everything we needed, being right next to the bike trail was a huge bonus with the bikes they offered us. You could hear them coming downstairs in the mornings but the timing of it was well past 7:30/8 so it wasn’t an issue. We would recommend anyone that loves to walk and ride bikes stay here during the summer months. It’s awesome!”
Taking this opportunity to be as clean and safe as I can. Plenty of disinfectant and hand sanitizer and diligent wipe-downs. Please be safe, all! I live in a great location: the near West Side of Madison, with easy access to outdoor areas, shops, library, UW campus, the hospitals, the bike path, restaurants, and downtown. My house is cozy and welcoming; I love having guests! I am licensed by the City of Madison and pay all appropriate taxes and fees.
“Joan’s home is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The room was so cozy, and we liked the trees/greenery surrounding the house. Communication was great, and check in couldn’t have been easier. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short, but I hope to stay again when things settle down in the world.”
