Kinbane Self Catering - ‘The Stable’

JaymeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I booked this stay for my parents for my dads birthday/Father’s Day. They absolutely loved it and sent me videos of inside and outside the house. The house was clean and comfortable for their getaway, and the videos I received looked beautiful. They loved the views (whenever the rain cleared finally lol) and mum adored the cows in the field beside them, and laughed at them waking her up early mooing. Nan was very responsive and gave me clear instructions to pass onto my parents to allow them to get inside. Even had an egg service for fresh eggs from the farm if you fancy some in the mornings. They had an excellent night away at the house and I’d highly recommend!!

We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our group. The space itself is very well thought out and we loved the bath, the gardens, the friendly chickens and the super comfy beds, thank you Emma and Craig.

Hannah's Thatched Cottage

KimandBrianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such a wonderful stay…..the best of our two week trip! Paul had to give us an assist in finding Hannah’s, but he was very responsive and got us there quickly. The pictures don’t do it justice. Paul has done a fabulous job in bringing this building back to life and we felt lucky to have found it. His restaurant suggestions were spot on from Ubiquitous in Bancrana to Nancy’s Barn in Ballyliffin and Simpsons Pub in Clondanough. All were enjoyed and we’d highly recommend. Paul and Denise had left us a few goodies to greet our stay and even delivered homemade bread and rhubarb jam one day. We barely touched what we would have like to in County Donegal and look forward to a return trip.

Garden Cottage with hot tub, castle & sea views

JohnathanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Katie’s charming home near the red castle ruins was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in peace and magic. The cottage was beautifully kept, fully stocked, and incredibly comfortable—every detail thoughtfully arranged to make us feel at home. The setting is something out of a storybook. Waking up next to the historic ruins and soaking in the beauty of the surroundings was unforgettable. The hot tub was a highlight, especially after a day of travel. Our kids were thrilled with the darts and ping pong, and everyone slept like a dream—so quiet, so cozy. If Scotland weren’t so far away, we’d be back in a heartbeat. This may be the only trip we ever take as a family to Scotland, and we’re beyond grateful that Katie’s magical cottage was part of our journey. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful period home on loch, wonderful views

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed - both the beauty of the surroundings and the house itself with gorgeous views and unique design and decor. Cozy living room with great view. Basically two master bedrooms. Great kitchen and dining room. Nice deck if weather permits. Close to railway walking path. I even caught four brown trout from shore just across the lake. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Scott’s place. Unlike anywhere we’ve been before with the RGB lights and black interior. It was very spacious and practical. Partner loved the walk in wardrobe! The bed and pillows were certainly comfortable, probably the most comfortable Airbnb I’ve stayed in. And the hot tub was bliss, very hot and jets were very powerful. Overall had everything you needed for a couple days stay and id definitely recommend!

Unique home at Strathcarron Station, near Skye

RichardRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We spent 3 comfortable nights at Rupert and Lin’s Station Master’s flat at the end of our North Coast 500 tour. The property has a real homely feeling and was very comfortable and warm. It was very interesting to read about the long and rewarding journey Rupert and Lin took to restore the property and make it what it is today. We did find the internet to be slow and unpredictable at times, (this is mentioned in the Airbnb description and information pack at the property). It did not overly concern us as we had a good 4G data signal and with such fantastic scenery on our doorstep, we didn’t have too much time for using our devices. Communication with Rupert and Lin was polite and friendly, with any queries answered in very good time. We would highly recommend Rupert and Lin’s unique property to anyone looking to stay in this part of the Highlands.

Pam and David's home was the highlight of our time in the Highlands. Breathtaking views greeted us every morning, made all the more exhilarating by the dramatic and ever-changing weather throughout the day. It was the perfect jumping-off point for all north coast adventures. Even so, we found that our favourite spots were either a short walk or drive away right in Melness. Pam and David's place also had thoughtful touches such as a very well-equipped kitchen and plenty of local guidebooks. Pam and David were lovely to chat with and offered excellent local tips. Thank you so much for an incredibly memorable experience!

Stunning Georgian Manor Retreat, Exclusive Use

SaudahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

We've stayed at other places in the past, but none have given off the positive vibes we experienced here. The care and attention given to the extensive grounds is truly exemplary, right down to the precise way the grass was mown. I never seem to get a good night's sleep except in my own bed, yet here I slept like a lamb for three nights straight! Great beds and luxurious bedding. Finally, the cherry on the cake has to be the privacy and tranquility.

Aidan's Island

NathanRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Our stay at Aidan’s home far exceeded our expectations. It is a little slice of paradise. The home is much larger than the photos indicate, plenty of room for our family of four to spread out. We cooked most of our meals there which was very easy as his kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor spaces and view were magical. Aidan was kind enough to suggest a fishing spot for our son which was greatly appreciated. The town of Westport was easily drivable - a 15-20 minute drive. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area.
