House vacation rentals in City of Carlisle

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

We had a lovely stay here while visiting relatives close by. The house was clean and tidy, easy to find, well equipped with some great games which was handy for our two young children. Gemma was very helpful too. Would stay again!

Myself, Mum, Nan and daughter all loved our stay. It’s beautifully decorated/furnished. It is a great size and layout. We would stay again if we were in the area. This was just a quick stop over for us on our way to Scotland so didn’t get to see what was in the area.

What a great place to stay! Easy to find, very simple check in, helped by clear instructions. The home is lovely, really thoughtfully furnished to feel welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked, lots of games and even some toys for the little ones, which my youngest definitely enjoyed! The garden and courtyard are lovely! Brampton is a great little town, a good variety of shops and close to lots of local sights. We explored Hadrian’s Wall and visited Carlisle Castle while there. Would definitely recommend. This is my first visit at Lake District and it was a nice experience overall.. from robyns place everything is nearby.. The house is so nice and peaceful surrounding...Had a nice time... We'll come again..

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

Stayed for 2 nights and we didn't want to leave! Went for a break with friends and the pooch and all absolutely loved it. Beautiful home, views and great dog walks local. Very secluded garden area with hot tub which was lovely in the autumn weather. Will definitely be returning in the future! Long Cottage was perfect for our short break. It had everything we needed and was in a lovely quiet location. David was a great, thoughtful host, responding quickly to queries and checking in to make sure everything was ok. As others have said, the goats were a highlight!

Pat and Neil are incredible hosts and continue to make you feel at home, with everything and more you could ever need, to feel relaxed and at home. beautiful gardens to explore, sit with a book, or chill with a glass of wine watching the sun set. it's an absolute privilege to be welcome back. thank you for having us xx
