Lake house vacation rentals in Alaska

Daniel’s place had an amazing lakeside view and the house was fully stocked with anything you needed. Even had the opportunity to use the kayaks with life jackets from the garage. Would most definitely stay again. Friend left her camera behind after check out and he was very quick to respond and help us with recovering it. Great stay!

This was a fun place to stay! The views were amazing and the kids especially enjoyed riding the elevator to the top floor (my youngest is 12 and could be trusted with it. If you have younger ones that might be a consideration). This is a great location for making a day trip up to Denali or for visiting any of the other trails or parks around the area. Note the water had a bit of a taste to it. The provided britta filter took care of it mostly but if you’re picky bringing some bottled water may be a good idea. Everything was spotlessly clean and had a vintage Alaska feel. We’d definitely recommend for any friends.

There aren’t adequate words to say for Troy’s place! It is amazingly beautiful and relaxing. He has done an excellent job of decorating and proving necessities for a stay. The beds were very comfortable. Be easy with the heat… it feels amazing on my feet (floor heated) but it will warm up very well… cools off slowly. I just wished I had planned on staying longer. Definitely #1 on our list.

We truly felt like we hit the jackpot finding Ryan’s incredible cabin on the lake! Ryan was exceptionally responsive to all of my questions and offered great tips on things to do in the area. The cabin itself was cozy, well-equipped, and made for an unforgettable stay. We would highly recommend Ryan’s place to anyone visiting Alaska. Plus, it’s conveniently located—just about 40 minutes from Anchorage! Ryan also left us a bottle of wine, eggs, yummy fresh alaskan coffee, and the most amazing homemade blueberry bread! Again, we can't say enough great things about Ryan and hus amazing cabin on the lake!!!!

My family and I loved this lake house. The home was incredibly clean and organized. The beds were super comfy and the toiletry amenities were high quality. We spent the morning on the lake in the paddle boats and saw lots of trout! Laurie was super friendly and gave great instructions for check in. Highly recommend this place.

Cabin was easy to get to. It is far away from everything, but the directions were spot on. Cabin was clean and Big Lake is gorgeous at New Years.

Joe and Aranda's place is so cozy. We stayed 4 nights and wish it could have been longer. This cabin felt like going home after exploring Homer and was also wonderful when it rained all day and we didn't go out. Recommend staying here and hopefully I can do it again when back in Homer.

We were delighted with Peter's place - the location was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning coffee looking out at the lake. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to cook, and the refrigerator and freezer were huge (great for a family of 4!). They had local freshly ground coffee, which was exceptional. Weather was brisk, but the home had heated floors throughout that kept it quite cozy. There was plenty of wood for a bonfire, and despite the cool temps, we were still able to enjoy time out on the canoe with the kids. Overall, was a wonderful, memorable stay and would highly recommend for your next trip!

All I can say about this BnB is WOW! The view was stunning, the host was the absolute sweetest and we had a beautiful time! We had 12 people and it accommodated us all with room to spare! We used the space as a bachelor and bachelorette party and it was the most beautiful place that I think we could have chose! It was secluded but not too far away from stores and other amenities! 10 out of 10 would recommend everyone to stay here for their visit to willow!

Amber was amazing! We communicated periodically for several months before our stay, about things to do, amenities at the home, and other trip-related matters. Amber was always super responsive and went above and beyond. The hot tub was incredible, especially with the gorgeous lake view, and it was nice to be able to grill dinner each night on the back deck. There was plenty of room for the six of us, and we all felt right at home. For those interested in fishing, the place is situated about halfway between the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and between Seward and Homer. There is also a freezer on the back deck for storing fish, as well as an excellent processor up the road in Soldotna (Tanner’s). The kitchen was supplied with everything but your food (spices, pots and pans, utensils, etc.), and the washer & dryer came in very handy. I could go on and on, but I’ll just end by saying that we would 100% stay with Amber again if we’re back on the peninsula.

Such a sweetly situated and lovely home!! We all loved it and felt more than comfortable. The home had nooks and crannies full of Alaska findings and spacious views of the canal and neighboring historic homes. It was such a pleasure to stay here!!!

The outside and inside were both immaculate, and how clean and comfortable it felt when walking in through the front door. I really loved the bedroom layout. It felt like a log cabin from a Western movie. Definitely jealous and wish I could rent that place out as my own home. They make it an apartment lol . Only got to stay at this property for a single night, but my goodness would I have stayed here longer! It's a beautiful property with plenty of room for a large group and lots of activities to do in either the winter or summer right there on the property. Jennifer was an excellent host and was always ready for a response when we needed it.

While the bathrooms could use some love, the house has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with what you would need. Biggest plus was we were actually able to see the northern lights off the back patio.

Our stay was exactly what we needed. Mindy’s Viewtopia was clean, conveniently located, the neighborhood was quiet and there were clear instructions on the house rules as well as what to do in the area. Mindy was responsive, friendly and a great host. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely place! Linda and Rick were so friendly and helpful. They are experts of surrounding exploration and fishing. They provided a lot of useful information touring around Anchorage. 100% recommend!

So happy we stayed at Sharon's place rather than a tourist trap hotel somewhere in downtown Anchorage. Her home is situated in a quiet neighborhood and right in a cul de sac so the area definitely felt safe and peaceful. Waking up every morning to that fantastic view in her backyard was sublime! We were blessed with amazing weather that week so that made our stay even more special as we got to enjoy just basking under the sun out in her patio, feeling the cool breeze, watching the birds. Fully equipped kitchen, super comfy beds, huge living room TV plus recliner sofas, lots and lots of bath towels, and best of all, bidets with heated seats in all of the bathrooms!!! HA! We also enjoyed Sharon's collection of art and Alaskan cultural artifacts. Easy drive from and to the airport, close to all the happenings downtown, but far enough away from all the touristy mess. Sharon was a great host - responsive and helpful. This home was the perfect choice for us!
