House vacation rentals in Alaska

This home felt like stepping into a hidden sanctuary. Eight of us stayed here for a tournament weekend, and not once did it feel cramped. Vaulted ceilings with wood trim gave the space a warm, cathedral-like feel. The glass breakfast bar? A centerpiece that elevated every moment. Nature surrounded us; lush gardens, flowers, and a runway where planes quietly came and went like a private air show. It felt far from the noise of Wasilla, yet close to everything. The spa-like bathroom with its stone tiles and water jets felt like showering in a sacred cave. Every bed was comfortable, every corner thoughtful; no one got the short straw. Multiple hangout zones let us spread out or come together. Tech was smooth, linens plentiful, parking abundant. But more than that, it just felt special. Peaceful, grounding, and unforgettable. The host was quick, kind, and attentive. I left feeling rested, impressed, and a little sad to go.

Magnificent home with Incredible million dollar views. fantastic amenities such as hot tub fire pit commercial style gas range appliances. Very comfortable beds.

The Lazy Loon was hard to leave!! Absolutely incredible views and a beautiful cabin to enjoy it in. My husband and I couldn’t get enough of the mountains and were simply in awe the whole trip! It was the most perfect place and very nice home, well kept and cared for. Ryan was very helpful and communicative! The welcome gift and sign were very kind and made us smile :) Wishing we could stay longer!! Highly recommend staying at the Lazy Loon

What a beautiful house that exceeded the description! We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living area to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our 2 Daughters and their husbands and all 5 of our grandchildren! The location was perfect with a beautiful view from the dining room and deck! (.....from an online search: The mountain seen from a house deck on Golden View Drive in Anchorage, AK is likely The Sleeping Lady, also known as Mount Susitna. The body of water is likely the Cook Inlet) The location was very close to many restaurants and several of the attractions we planned to visit as well as having privacy, with wonderful views from the windows and porches. This was hands down the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Not only is the house absolutely gorgeous with spectacular views, but Joline really made it feel like home for us. She went above and beyond to make sure the house was fully stacked with anything you would possibly need + more. We came to Alaska for a wedding and this was perfect for our family of 5. Not kidding we didn’t want to leave the Airbnb at all. It’s even more gorgeous in person. Would 10/10 recommend staying here and we hope to come back one day! Thanks Joline!

Beautiful, spacious home with everything you need for a great stay. Close to town but feels like you’re worlds away. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We had a fantastic stay here for three nights while birding in Denali and the local area. The house was immaculate and very tastefully decorated, love the bathroom floor!! Everything you could possibly want in a lake stay is here.

Place was beautiful and we had so much fun staying around the area. We made s’mores and laid on the hammock-great experience. Very cute house and very clean!

Mark's place is surrounded by beautiful nature, and it is not disturbed by the lights from Fairbanks, so it is ideal for watching the aurora, which was the goal of our visit. We were happy to witness the aurora caused by large solar storm. The house is well insulated, so we were warm even when it was deep frost outside.

Allison's place is amazing! Gorgeous setting with canoe, kayak and fishing that kept our kids.. ages 8 & 11... entertained all weekend while the adults relaxed on the dock in the sunshine! The inside of the house was pretty and well maintained!There is only one bathroom. But for the 5 of us, we hot along fine. Allison was very responsive to questions. A great host with a great place to make memories. Thanks, Allison!

Would definitely stay here next time I come to anchorage. The home was cozy and views magnificent. Would be challenging if you had a mobility issue though with the stairs. Great location.

Amazing airbnb! Extremely beautiful! Loved the amenities at the house. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The house is thoughtfully made, bathrooms were beautiful! We loved spending time on the deck by the firepit as well!

This was a cozy comfortable place to stay. I stayed in all day one day as I was under the weather. It was comfortable and I had a great view so I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything. Loved the extras like bottled water in the fridge and plenty of blankets. The view of the mountains is beautiful

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The cabin was cozy and had every amenity you'd need. I absolutely felt at home throughout my week long stay. The location couldn't be better if you're looking for somewhere just outside the city. Very peaceful.

This cozy home located in the hillside was just what we needed. The view was breathtaking and the interior of the house was something out of a magazine. Location to Homer and the Spit was great. Despite being 15 minute drive from the spit, it is an easy drive and well worth it for the view while at the house. Scott and Hester are the most responsive hosts I've ever dealt with. And I just fell in love with the impressive tile work in the master steam shower. Thank you for allowing us to bring our fur baby with us, she loved it as well. We definitely will be back. Thanks again for making our first time to Homer memorable.

amazing stay! wish we could have stayed longer. it was so beautiful and peaceful! our dog loved running up and down the spiral staircase 😂 she absolutely loved the yard as well and had a ton of fun eating sticks. thank you so much for everything!

Great space, sleeps many! Only one bathroom and dishes for 6. 15 minute walk to the main area of Talkeetna, made for good exercise and quiet streets.

The location of this place can't be beat. The view of the harbor, walkability and access to Kodiak town is a real plus. It was very clean. As stated in other reviews, the couches in the main living area and upstairs carpet could use replacing........ they don't match up to the rest of the place.

This space was perfect for our long weekend getaway, and fantastically situated in the center of all the things we wanted to accomplish during our short stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the little treats to welcome us was 10/10.

Wonderful stay! First time coming to visit Alaska. Felt like home. My partner and I fell in love with the home. Fully stocked with what we needed. Didn’t leave the home just for some grocery shopping. Would 100% stay here again! I highly recommend, won’t get disappointed.

Great space for a small family wedding. We were able to set up 4 6-foot tables and seat 22 people. Definitely recommend this rental for small weddings.

We loved our visit at Broken Arrow Farm! The house was stocked with everything we needed, and even had a welcome basket of goodies when we arrived. When I needed to borrow an iron, Nancy responded right away and brought the iron to the house. Nancy was wonderful - always responsive and able to answer questions. The house itself was very comfortable. Best of all though was the farm!! We loved being around all the animals, which Nancy often lets freely roam on the property. They were so fun, friendly, and cute. Highly recommend this place.
