Houseboat vacation rentals in Western Europe

What a brilliant place to stay! I felt like a child clambering up the steps to the viewing seat at the back, spotting all the unusual items around the place .. really fun. Hamish was a great host, showing us how the place worked. Great little outside space at the back. The whole place felt really homely. The toilet took a bit of getting use to ... so be prepared for an an adventure, but everything worked well including the wood burner, heating and hot water.

Das Hausboot selbst ist ein Traum und supergut gelegen, wenn man einerseits die Schönheit und Ruhe des Landes, Schäfchen und grüne Wiesen vor der Haustür liebt aber andererseits auch gern mal an den Strand oder in die Städte fährt. Die Bahn ist schnell erreicht und das ist bei der Parkplatzsituation in Amsterdam ein großes Plus. Leonora und Erwin waren leicht zu erreichen und immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Supersympathische Gastgeber! Vielen Dank, ihr Lieben!

We loved feeding the turtles 🐢. You have to check out downtown Sanford, walk the Riverwalk & go to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Don't forget to try the Jailhouse Restaurant - in a real old jailhouse, great food! She was an amazing host.

De passage à Nantes pour une journée, nous avons eu le plaisir de passer une nuitée dans ce logement atypique, cosy, plein de charme, et dans un environnement très agréable. C’était trop court tellement nous avons apprécié ! Mathieu est très réactif et nous a transmis toutes les informations utiles pour passer un agréable séjour, Si nous devions à nouveau venir passer quelques jours à Nantes, cents dans ce logement et nul autre que nous souhaiterions séjourné !

This is literally the perfect place to stay in Charlottetown! Within walking distance to anything you need including restaurants, coffee shops, parks and downtown. The space itself was cozy yet spacious. It was clean and comfortable and the highlight was the covered patio outside to watch the boats go by. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay in London on Meg's unique narrow boat Jessie. Everything was well prepared for us to feel at home. Our kids loved to feed the ducks with the provided duck food in the mornings and evenings - when we were resting from the adventures 'outside'. It was very special for us to live on such a unique boat in the midst of London 😍. Thank you for everything Meg!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

We spent five nights with our family of four on the lovely house boat and really enjoyed our stay. The little boat is a lovely and very cozy place and perfect for staying in the very centre of Copenhagen. I mean, where else can you easily recognise your accommodation in air photographs of the city centre:-) The boat has everything you need for your stay and beds are very comfortable. Also, Eva is super kind and easy to reach when there are questions. Thanks for having us!

We absolutely loved our stay. From the minute Tom greated us it felt like a home away from home. The cabin was extremely homely and it was lovely to switch off from the online world. We used the guide book provided and spent a day in Lyme Regis and then West Bay. We loved sitting by the pond and reading a book with a cup of tea. We even saw a deer! Although unfortunately not the white stags! We will be back!!

I wanted to book a night away for my birthday meeting up with my daughter. I came across Seascape and immediately thought it would be ideal. We were not disappointed. Stunning location and beautifully kept. The weather was very warm and there was a air conditioning unit which was a god send. I will hopefully be able to return again

Joseph is an excellent host! Very responsive, proactive, and provides great local tips. We thoroughly enjoyed this unique stay with great fishing and close proximity to restaurants. The houseboat had everything we needed including beautiful sunset views.

Vi hadde et 2 dagers opphold på denne sjarmerende husflåten i naturskjønne og fredelige omgivelser. Det manglet ikke på noe under oppholdet - rent og og ryddig var det og forholdene lå godt til rette for glamping! Verten var absolutt på tilbudssiden og tilgjengelig for spørsmål ved behov. Kjempefornøyde!

The stay was great. The owners are close by and available for assistance. Requesting gas everyday day was a little annoying and the tank ran out of water on our last stay. Overall was a good experience.

We so much enjoyed our stay on the Splashing Pelican. It was peaceful and comfortable - a unique experience on our first visit to this beautiful part of Florida. Not much wildlife to report, but the super athletic fish were amazing and did their best to put on a show for us. And we so enjoyed the sunsets. We also enjoyed kayaking and visits to Vero Beach. Natalie was helpful at all times. Thank you.

A lovely stay at the boat house, it was spotless, in a great location, well equipped and it was perfect for our needs, Steph was so responsive to all questions and kindly left us plenty of goodies. Thank you for a great stay.

Excelente!! Desde a recepção até o check out tudo foi perfeito. No anúncio, fala que é ótimo para uma noite, mas eu complemento: passaria muitos dias lá!!! Tudo funciona perfeito, a poucos metros da playa norte. Única coisa que lamento é realmente não ter ficado mais dias. Simplesmente sensacional e muito melhor que vários resorts da região!

This was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The houseboat is in a perfect location, sitting right at the iconic Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, close to all the hotspots in Charleston. It was a beautiful home and exceeded our expectations. There was occasional wake from boats coming/going, but it was truly hardly noticeable so don’t let that be a deterrent from staying here. We even saw dolphins each morning swimming in the harbor from the front deck of the houseboat! The hosts were excellent with communication. We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay. We came for a babymoon just to relax and have some peaceful and calm alone time. And that is exactly what we got, a scenic and peaceful stay, close to restaurants and a variety of activities, from a thoughtful and responsive team.

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Love to wake up and walk across to public beach for sunrise and sit on the dock for sunset!

This was our second year staying here, and it won’t be our last! The atmosphere is perfect—laid-back, welcoming, and full of charm. The community truly makes you feel at home. Kelly remembered us from last year and treated us like old friends, even giving us some free worms to get our fishing started. The community fire pit is a great place to relax and meet new people, and the fishing is top-notch. We caught over 20 walleye between 15–19 inches and even landed a beautiful 33.5-inch pike. We’re already looking forward to year three. Whether you’re planning a family getaway or a trip with friends, Sabula is a hidden gem you won’t want to miss!
