Lighthouse vacation rentals in Western Europe

Read the good reviews, everything is already in there - and it is actually true: The tower is exceptional and something for people who are looking for something special. The furnishings are tasteful and well adapted to the tower. It is a wonderful old building, where sometimes a little paint trickles from the wall - this happens with a historic building and is part of its very own, great character. We enjoyed it very much there, especially the view from the tower platform. Where else can you see the sun rise in the sea from the house - and sink into the sea again. This is especially nice with a glass of Vermentino frizzante. Raise your glass to this great tower!

Wonderful place for a family of three. Right next to the beach (literally 2min) and lovely shared gardens to relax in. We felt so fortunate for the location with wonderful views, sunsets and sea and a lovely breeze kept us cool in the night. The place is very simple with minimal amenities and kitchen equipment but we didn’t need much more for our stay even though we cooked simple meals often at the apartment. Bed linen and towels are not included in the fee which is quite unusual but the host arranged for some be hired at an extra fee. We loved our stay on the island and hope to come back!

We can’t speak highly enough about this spot! It was honestly one of the best and most unique places we’ve ever stayed. Jeremy, Catherine‘s husband welcomed us upon check in and gave us the lay of the land and plenty of recommendations. He was so lovely and so helpful. The place was even more beautiful than the picture showed. 20 out of 10 and would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful place - we rented more than one of the houses on the same plot for a large group which was fantastic. The location is superb for the beach and Antonio was very helpful both before and during the trip. He even organised a babysitter for us! Thanks for a great stay - we would love to come back.

Stay in and next to a lighthouse is quite a unique experience. We enjoyed a lot having Isla Pancha just for us, and also being at 30’ by foot from the center were we could taste the local cuisine. I totally recommend it!

Our stay at the Auberge du Lac was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot. The dinner and breakfast were both generous and tasty. while the hotel is in the middle of town, the rooms were quiet. I would happily return.

We loved staying at this place! The windmill made us feel like we were living in a fairytale. The property is remarkable in its beauty and creative design, combining stone, wood, and plenty of charm. There is an outside kitchen with a table, an outdoor seating area near the other kitchen, a garden, and an outdoor shower with a millstone for the floor. What a joy it is to take a cool shower as you feel the breeze while hearing the birds and the little lizards that live within the crevices of the stone wall come and go. Take out the hammocks at night to enjoy the stars! Sleeping in the very top bedroom is a unique experience. Awesome place, and a very nice luxury house that made our stay and experience just much better! You also have a feeling like you’re on your own private beach plus you can enjoy the jacuzzi with a view to the sea and sunset. Definitely recommend if you are looking for relaxing time and a real rest (vacation). The island is beautiful and lots to see there. You can take a cruise to a different island, visit different beaches on Brac and enjoy great local food. Croatians are very polite and friendly people so if you need help with anything you can count on that. The hosts were great! When we arrived, they walked us through everything and left a gift for us (snacks, drinks, fruit, etc.). The house has everything you need and more including the grill, kayak, bikes, fishing rods. We absolutely loved it here and plan on coming back :)

Can’t beat the location, steps to the beach. Quiet and chill both at the beach and place. Amazing view from inside. Felt safe, bathroom updated, nice TV w streaming. Highly recommend, will be back. 😊

The place is lovely, very calm and quiet and beautiful views. It's a very clean and well kept place. A lot of nature and a escape from reality. I hope we can go back there as it is completely worth it.

A stay in a lighthouse is exciting by default. But a stay at The Lighthouse Winterton-on-Sea is a true experience! We enjoyed the renovated and excellently kept historical building, the views from the top level, the warmth of the decoration (despite the windy environment) and the great walks in the surrounding area, the dunes, the seals, the doll like villages. The water tower definitely contributed to making it an unforgettable vacation for us. It is equipped with everything you need or could need. Loving furnishing and decor details help you feel right at home. Communication was always very prompt and a great appreciation was noticeable. We greatly appreciated the personal and very warm welcome. And we didn't miss anything. The bins were even placed on the street and the surroundings were maintained, so we only had to enjoy and not worry about anything.

Beautiful home in a perfect surrounding. We loved everything about this home. Jan gave us great instructions and we were able to walk right in and relax. It was super clean! We prepared meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We took Jan’s restaurant recommendation at the Fitz and could not have been happier. Thank you for the perfect weekend in the U.P.

Ugelong stay, but not a second too far. The listed apartment was absolutely perfect in all respects. The North Sea and the surrounding Hanstholm made it an unforgettable experience.

This is not a typical Airbnb stay ! So much more. The house was immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up with everything we could need. The kitchen was fully equipped, and every room had cozy, comfortable spots that made us want to stay indoors and unwind. But what really sets this place apart is the outdoor space. The spacious yard offers a peaceful retreat with a beautiful peek at the river. There’s even a barbecue grill outside, perfect for enjoying the open air and making the most perfect week-end meals. Nearby shopping spots made it easy to grab all the groceries and essentials we needed for the weekend. This was the ideal location for a rejuvenating weekend escape, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

We stayed Derby weekend and this place is the perfect hidden gem for 4-6 people. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend, but close enough to attend the derby, restaurants, etc. just across the river. The property is literally right on the Ohio River with very nice views, boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is roomy with nice outdoor spaces!! The host, Brad, is extremely friendly and responsive and wants to ensure their guests have a great experience end to end. I would totally recommend the property for folks looking for a quick get away or the derby!!!! Excellent value for money!!

We loved our stay at the Lighthouse Suite! The space is smaller than regular accommodations but that is very clear in the description. Being able to have a hot shower indoors is already a plus for us given that this is a unique setup. The location is great - right next to the water and very near the Tablelands Trail. The views are also amazing at any time of day and we loved looking out whenever we were in the lighthouse or in the area. The waters are relaxing to look at during the day and the stars were amazing at night. I didn't get to meet Becky but she has always been friendly and proactive in communicating anything we needed to know regarding our stay. Highly recommended!

We had our family celebrating a 70th birthday and 50th anniversary and it was the perfect most beautiful spot to fit us all so we could stay together with cousins, siblings, and parents. The kids were entertained the entire time with the fun game room and beach access! The adults enjoyed bonfires and beautiful sunsets! Highly recommend!
