Bungalow vacation rentals in Western Europe

Our family just spent the most wonderful weekend at this charming beach bungalow in Ormond Beach, and it was everything we hoped for and more! The location simply can't be beaten – being right on the beach was fantastic. What truly stood out, especially with our little ones, was the easy and convenient it made our days so much smoother! The bungalow itself was incredibly comfortable and exceptionally well-equipped for a family. When I say this Airbnb had everything, I truly mean it – from coals for the fire pit to grilling equipment, they've thought of every detail! The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, especially with our family's needs, which made our stay completely stress-free. This Airbnb truly lives up to its high ratings; it's clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home. If you're looking for an amazing, relaxing, and convenient family beach vacation, this is definitely the place. My family and I will definitely.

Joan’s cottage is a gem! Cozy, well equipped, and a stone’s throw from Lake Erie. The view from the porch is incredible. You can watch crashing waves, eagles soar, and truly relax. Joan is the definition of hospitality. It was so interesting to learn about the history of both the cottage and the historic inn. And the ability to walk to a neighborhood beach was such a treat. We look forward to our return visit!

A stargazers paradise. This is a great place for enjoying the beach by day, and setting up a telescope to enjoy the cosmos by night. The views here are great, having both beach front access and wide open skies. If you’re a stargazer, the skies are dark in most directions, and many, many stars and constellations are visible. The milky way is also very visible. The house was clean and well kept. The check out “chores” list was minimal and reasonable. Will definitely be returning.

I'm not even sure where to start! This place was absolutely perfect! 10 out of 10!! You cannot get any closer to the ocean than this! literally two steps out the back door and you are on the sand. it is all flat and easy short walk to the water!! The other plus is you were able to park right at the front door. literally two steps and you are in the door. no parking garage no lugging luggage to a condo on a luggage cart!! We were the first clients to stay in the bungalow after the hurricane! They have done such a nice job with it! Appliances, cabinetry, furniture is new! towels and beach towels provided! private/ shared pool a few steps away! You're not sharing the pool with 100 other people at a condo!! Sharky's restaurant right across the street! The beach itself was never packed! The one only hiccup we have was a little bit of a sewer issue, we messaged Liz and she had the plumber there within 45 minutes! problem solved! highly recommend this place!! we will definitely be back!!!

It was the perfect beach front house we were looking for, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Lisa and Brigham were wonderful hosts, super easy to get in touch with and very responsive. The photos, as nice as they were, did not do justice to this amazing beach house. It was even better and prettier in person. Can't say enough things about our experience other than "thank you!"

Great location. Our second visit and this time we brought a friend who was equally impressed. Lovely to have tea, coffee and basic condiments to hand. Wonderful to see the house next door being made into a home. Thanks Danielle for another lovely holiday

¡Simplemente inolvidable! Pasamos nuestro babymoon en esta casita y fue, sin exagerar, una de las experiencias más lindas y únicas que hemos vivido. Nos sentimos náufragos en una isla desierta: la playa es super privada y el diseño de la casa se integra en el entorno, nos hacía sentir parte de la naturaleza sin renunciar a la comodidad. Aunque el concepto es totalmente abierto, se oyen las olas día y noche, la casa es súper fresca y cómoda. Hay sombra en la piscina casi todo el día, la brisa circula de maravilla, y no tuvimos ni un solo problema con insectos (¡todavía no entiendo cómo lo logran!). Me preocupaba que no tiene aire acondicionado, pero los ventiladores y la ventilación natural fueron más que suficientes. La casa es lejos de Puerto Escondido, lo que contribuye a esa sensación de “playa para nosotros solos”, pero a pocos minutos hay buenos hoteles y restaurantes si no quieren manejar hasta el pueblo. ¡100 % recomendado! Nos quedamos con todas las ganas de regresar.

This was everything we were hoping for. I think the location we stay should always be integral to the experience. This is certainly that. Door... Beach... Water. What more can you ask for? The beach is powder. The water is clear. There was no crowd (1st week in June) and we could go back and forth to the water at will. We didn't need to stay out in the sun if we didn't want to, our porch was right there. The only "issue" that wasn't an issue for us is that the shower is very small. So if you are a really large person, know that. It works fine, but it is tiny. The bed was comfortable - we only used one. The living area overlooks the beach and there are no curtains, so the beach overlooks it as well, but there is a covered deck out front and the cottage is off the beach so it's not like you feel exposed. Easy to open the windows and listen to the surf. The sunset from the porch is priceless. Great for cigar and bourbon for a guy or a glass of wine for a lady. It all felt very safe.

It was a really cute bungalow, I would definitely stay again!

Our stay at the meadow house was in a quite and beautiful location. The property was as shown in the photos and was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Andre's place is right on the lakes of Sete Cidades, so you have direct access to the hikes around the lake (and don't have to worry about transport to get back). There is access to kayaking on the lake provided by the host. Andre also gave us a lot of great tips for the whole island, hiking, PDF guides and basically anything you need to get to know the area. We cooked a few nights in the kitchen, with food we purchased from a larger grocery store en route to Sete Cidades coming out of the airport. Its peaceful here, and there arent that many tourist accommodation options so you are definitely not overwhelmed by crowds. I recommend using the fireplace if you have washed clothes as it is very humid there. The guest house is part of a larger property where the host's family lives, and so they are also easily accessible for questions. The host provided a very generous basket of local foods to try!

This is a BEAUTIFUL place! It is a very comfortable home, that feels like a real home with lots of beautiful touches and character and not a typical corporate feeling airbnb. It was clean and well equipped, quiet and peaceful. The pool area is very beautiful space to spend time. A lovely swinging bench on the front porch to hang out and watch the neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood with lots of nice places to walk. Easy check in and out and friendly communication with Michelle. All around very wonderful stay here!

We love the Boho Bungalow. Great location to Red Rocks and shopping for anything one needs. The place felt like home. Great little sitting areas in a beautiful backyard with privacy. Enjoyed the fur babies greeting us each day. Will definitely return if just two of us. Hopefully next June, first weekend!

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at the Guest House. The cottage was beautifully restored and very comfortable. The property is set back from the road which allows for a relaxing and quiet location. We were able to walk to Old Town for shopping and the restaurants. We had access to the dock on the May River and we loved sitting out there in the late afternoons. Our host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. She (and Dewey) made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend staying at the Guest House.

One of the best Airbnb’s!

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt mit der Familie in Herisau. Haben sich auch direkt wohl gefühlt. Das Haus hat eine super Größe auch mit Kindern. Vor allem mit dem Garten hat man einen sehr schönen Urlaub dort. Man kann grillen draußen spielen oder einfach Fernsehen gucken einen tollen Ausblick und super viel Ruhe einen Parkplatz alles was man braucht. Die Wohnung ist auch super ausgestattet mit Spielen auch in der Küche. Es fehlt an nichts. Sehr sehr sauber alles. Wir kommen gerne wieder noch mal.
