Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Teignbridge

Had the best couple of days staying at the hut, was greeted by Alexandra who was extremely friendly and helpful she showed us the facilities and hut. hut itself was a lovely little place, we could've happily stayed for longer. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again, thanks so much :)

we had a lovely break at the foxes den shepherds hut . The views are amazing and the area is beautiful . everything was as explained by Viki and it couldn't have ran any smoother. Our Shepherds Hut was Very Clean and beautifully decorated and the Easter Eggs were a lovely touch. We will certainly be back and would reccomend to anyone who wishes to explore the beautiful Devon countryside and Coast line.

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful and remote yet within easy distances of some great places. The hot tub was a big hit with our 3 year old. Absolutely loved it. Thank you

The Shepherds hut was perfect for us, amazing location and views. Very relaxing and quiet. Sofabed was very comfortable, lovely drop down table was a bonus. Close to showers and toilets. Would highly recommended coming here, and our dog loved it as well.

Siobahn and Alastair is a great communicator throughout the booking. They were waiting for us when we arrived, which was very helpful as google map navigation can be a bit confusing... Hahaha Absolutely loved the hut, jacuzzi and the stunning view. The hut is self contained, with all necessary facilities and plenty of privacy to ourselves, except for pheasants and birds... Would 100% recommend to anyone/couple who enjoy some quiet countryside retreat.

Maggie and Grahams place is so idyllic and peaceful and has the most amazing views. They are very welcoming and provided freshly baked bread and biscuits as well as homemade marmalade and eggs laid by their hens - all delicious and a real treat. I will definitely be back again. Thank you for looking after me so well.

We stayed for 2 nights and the hut was amazing. So private and peaceful. All the facilities were spotless and a lovely touch with the fresh Scones, cream and jam. Tina was very responsive with messages, and the directions she gave were very useful. She even had the hot tub ready for us when we arrived. There was plenty of options to eat out in the information folder, but it was so lovely we didn't leave the hut for the 2 days. I have already recommended to friends and we would definitely return in the future.

Great place, highly recommend!! Gary was a fantastic host, who instantly made us feel right at home. The shepherds hut was amazing, in a quiet spot with no noise. It was my partners birthday so they provided some amazing extra’s to arrive to, as well as some homemade cookies. If you’re visiting Cornwall, stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

We absolutely loved staying here! The hut itself is so private and in a beautiful & peaceful location. Jan communicated so well with us, was really responsive & left incredibly helpful directions on how to get there. We took our dog who loved the private field and we could relax in peace, knowing that she was safe & enjoying an explore. The hut is in a great location, near a lovely pub (The California Inn) and a shop so perfect for picking up extras. Jan also helpfully left us some bits (milk, coffee/tea/sugar) and some treats and towels for the dog. All in all it was a perfect break - such a lovely place and such great value!

Spent a couple nights here for my boyfriends birthday & it did not disappoint. The hut was very quirky, peaceful & relaxing location, with a cute little alpaca & goat farm on site. There was a small shop with snacks & even had goat feed to purchase, with an honesty box for payment. The hot tub was lovely, was ready for us when we arrived & instructions of how to relight it to get warm again. Kindling & logs all available for the bbq and the fire inside, which made it feel very romantic & cosy. perfect little spot to just get away & do nothing. would recommend.

Lucy was a wonderful stay, with a hot tub that once up to temperature was lovely and relaxing. Nice views into the fields and sounds of the farm animals. The bathroom and kitchen area had everything we needed, with a lovely sized shower.There was plenty of wood supplied for the hot tub on our short stay. Overall would recommend.

Hi Ben and all readers, Many thanks again for having hosted us in such a beautiful part of England and in such a lovely and cocooning place! The place is exactly as described on the pictures even better as we found that it even more spacious than expected. We very much enjoyed the fire pit outside as well as the hobbit stove inside the hut. The place is so calm and quiet exactly what we were looking for to move away for noisy London for few days! All in all, great place my wife and I greatly recommend! We'll be back in the Dartmoor that is for sure... Oh yes and also, for the very first time in my AirBnB experiences, at our arrival there was food and dink for the breakfast, usually you see these photos but there is absolutely nothing at your arrival! Here, we've been pleased to find fresh orange juice and milk and some sweet British treats, perfect!!!

Wonderful stay at an idyllic retreat! It was more like renting a private complex, with two extremely well appointed shepherd's huts, a delightful (and fun!) wood-fired hot tub, and a semi-outdoor area with barbecue and fire-pit, perfect for sitting and reading, playing games, or simply soaking up the atmosphere. All of this in a beautiful meadow, with total privacy - unless you count the curious cows in the neighbouring field, or the cute little wren nesting above the window in the outdoor area. Soizig was very friendly and welcoming, and Tony cheerfully restocked our wood supply on request. This place was absolutely perfect for us, and we will return as soon as we can.

Very responsive host, beautiful interior & excellent use of space! However, the road noise could be disturbing at times. Fortunate to have good weather which enabled us to make use of the fire pit & wood supply to stargaze & watch the sun go down after a long day exploring the local area! Bed was amazing & keen to know what duvet is used! We did take a large breed dog which wasn’t advisable by the host due to space but found she had enough room to sleep & loved the outdoor space provided!! Thank you so much for accommodating us Michelle it was a beautiful weekend! Would definitely want to visit again!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Even better than the pictures. After having stressful Jons as a nurse and firefighter it’s amazing at how relaxed and distressful it was. Having the bath outside you don’t feel overlooked or watched in. Andrew and his wife has thought of everything, all I would say is take a tripod for your phone as you will want to take so many pictures. Would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend to family and friends

Patsy was a great host. She was extremely helpful for me and my partner, and she was always quick to respond. She was attentive to detail, i.e marshmallows for toasting, little chocolates for Easter, breakfast hamper, and a cocktail making kit with free drinks. Over all, Fallows Leap was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend and Patsy was a wonderful host. Would definitely stay here again. One thing I will add is that the bed was very comfortable, although if you’re tall, you won’t be able to stretch out properly. One person could lay comfortably if lay diagonally but if you’re with someone and you’re both tall you may struggle. Everything else was perfect 👌🏻

The cow shed was a great place to stay Sue greeted us when we arrived and walked up over (only a minute walk). It was secluded and quiet. The shepherds hut was beautiful and cosy. We had rain the first day so made use of the board games and inside fire. Sue had left us a book of instructions and local recommendations, so we had dinner at the ring of bells - delicious and worth the trip The next day we got BBQ bits from the Tescos - stones throw away. We played tennis which was great fun, had a tea and homemade cookie outside with the view and then enjoyed an evening outside bath. Definitely worth keeping some cookies aside for some smores We had a slower morning as it was our last day, breakfast outside with the cows for company. Great stay we will definitely come again Thank you

Lovely stay - such a peaceful location with amazing views. It was the perfect escape - just a shame we were only staying for one night! The hut is perfect, we cooked dinner on the hobs and there is a little fridge to keep the drinks cold. Everything you need for a relaxing and quiet break. Sadly the wind meant we didn’t get to use the fire pit but no doubt that would be a great addition next time. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be coming again when we next have the chance!

We had a lovely long weekend stay at Julia’s place. Like others have said, she has laid out the space well, provides lots of goodies and everything else you could need. It’s a very private and quiet place with a beautiful outdoor area, as well as a cosy piggery building for evenings inside. Highly recommend for a weekend away!

Great little hide away, the cabin was tidy and spacious even with the bed down. The fixtures are beautiful and the dimmer switch really adds another level of chill to the space. would definitely recommend for a relaxing romantic getaway for couples!
