Cabin vacation rentals in Storsjön

There were eight of us staying at the house during week 9. Downhill skiing was tested in Klövsjö (barely five minutes by car), in Vemdalsskalet and in Storhogna. We thought Klövsjö was the best! Cross-country skiing was most appreciated at Åsarna (25 min by car). Ica is 15 minutes away as is a bakery/cafe that delivered very good bread. The house has everything you need and renting the house felt smooth overall. Recommended.

Great stay! The cottage is super nice and is only a few minutes from the different mountains and slopes in the area! Johanna was also always helpful and quick to respond if we had questions! Would definitely book again if we go back!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect—just a 10–15 minute walk to Åre square—and the view was absolutely beautiful. The apartment was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. Everything was just as expected, making for a really comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Very nice place where you can enjoy the lake views from the jacuzzi. Kitchen was well equipped and items were easy to find. Towels and linens for the pullout beds were provided, which was great!

Beautiful environment. Good kitchen, many bedrooms, sauna, hot tub and just enough distance to the slopes. Great value!

We had great days in Johan's cabin with skiing, northern lights and swimming in the jacuzzi. Johan was easy and clear to communicate with. The cottage is empty better than what the pictures show, spacious, comfortable beds and cozy to be able to burn in the stove. Everything you might need in housewares is in the cabin, we made waffles that were appreciated by the children. The projector that allowed movie watching upstairs was also a hit. We would be glad to come back!

We had a lovely stay in the cabin. Best part in our opinion was the sauna with direct access to the balcony, the closeness to the slopes/lift and the private cabin feel (not like many other “cabins” that are more like apartments). First time skiing in Klövsjö for us, and although it’s not the largest systems it’s quite decent and not many people queuing to the lift which is definitely a plus. Highly recommend!

Serena is amazing and super quick to respond. We felt very comfortable in the house and want to book again. Very well equipped house, especially for children. Amazing surroundings!

One very nice place, good location right on Kougstasjön. Beautiful nature, peaceful area, magical sunsets, dancing northern lights in the night sky, bustling bird life with, among other things, evocative crane screams early morning. Situated in the midst of mountains. Great place to stay and explore around Åre. Great hikes nearby and vålåforsen is walkable. Well equipped kitchen and clean. Worth the money.

My wife and I could have stayed here as long as Sara would have let us. It was truly one of the most peaceful and beautiful places we've stayed. The drive to the surrounding towns wasn't long and the natural views made it preferable to staying in Åre. We loved the set up of the home and felt like we used every area, enjoying every one. We wish we could have stayed to watch the lake thaw.

This is a stay that we will always remember. The cabin is small and cozy. The river behind the cabin gives a great atmosphere and a fantastic view, also it is wonderful to take a refreshing bath here and wash yourself in the morning. Just far enough from civilization to completely unwind but still close enough that you can get everything you need. In the area there is so much to see and do that it doesn't get bored anywhere and you have too little time to see everything. For us a place to definitely return to again.

Beautiful accommodation. We felt very comfortable right away. Great hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Reindeer or foxes regularly visited the house.

Very fresh and nice accommodation. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Everything you need and a little more is there, like party games, wood for the fire and even spices. The location is great with 3 min car to Skalet and direct access to cross-country tracks a short walk. Would love to come back!

We were 7 people and enjoyed ourselves very much! Very fresh, tastefully decorated and nice view from the living room and terrace! 4 children slept in the loft and had a cozy time and could be a little ourselves. Extra nice to be able to burn in the fireplace. Sara was very nice and helpful and responded quickly! Very good that Sara could arrange for departure cleaning from local company! We would be glad to come back!

A lovely quiet place! Plenty of room for many, even though there were only two of us..:) Lovely to just light the fireplace and read a book for many hours and take small nearby walks. Perfect distance to skiing in Åre or the city in Østersund (try the Saturday frame at Astrids in the city!). Thanks for us!

Rebecca's house offers great value for money. It is very lovingly and tastefully furnished and offers everything you need: well-equipped kitchen, great bathroom with washing machine and two separate bedrooms, highly recommended with children, there were also plenty of toys there. This was the most beautiful house I've ever booked!!! The furnishings of the house are a successful mix of memorabilia of the former use and a fresh, at the same time cozy renovation. Vålådalen is a dream for cross-country skiing and backcountry skiing. Other cross-country skiing areas are only a few miles away.

We had a nice stay at the house and enjoyed it very much. Bright, freshly decorated, practical, well-equipped kitchen, all cleaning equipment is available. A lovely cottage with a lot of space and space. Located just a few meters from amazing cross-country tracks. Really liked the proximity to the trails and the ease of getting into Åre by car. We would be glad to come back.
