Have you always wanted to live on your own island? Relax and slow down in this cozy wooden cottage on a unique island. Splash in the water or throw out your fishing rod, it is safe swimming and fishing water. Located near Utrecht and Amsterdam, yet you are completely in peace and nature. You must go to the cottage with a boat (included). On the island you will enjoy endless swimming, your own sauna, making fires, coziness of the three chickens and in the evening the projector and/or stove can be on.

Mijn tiny huisje Java Island is gelegen op een eiland, bereikbaar per boot, in de Vinkeveense Plassen op slechts 15 minuten van het centrum van Amsterdam en Utrecht. Na een dagje in een van deze drukke steden is het een heerlijke plek om lekker te relaxen. Je waant je er in een oase van rust midden in de natuur, terwijl je aan de horizon Amsterdam nog ziet liggen. Het huisje is voorzien van alle luxe. Per bootje kun je ook het meer verder verkennen. Ook zwemmen en vissen zijn goed mogelijk.

Cosy wooden house near cities & nature

Find your center in this peaceful wooden house! In the middle of a quiet neighborhood, next to a lovely swimming lake and close to the cities of Utrecht (5km), Maarssen (3km) and Amsterdam (20km). You'll find my 'jungalow' to be light, natural and well equipped - as an actual house, it has everything you could need. Use the 1000mbps fast internet, the washing machine or workout in my inhouse gym! With 70m2 and 3 bedrooms, my 'big tiny house', has enough space to acommodate up to 5 people.

Double Chalet cabin at the water

Make memories at this unique and family-friendly place. This double chalet is situated right on the water, where you can swim, sail/boat/canoe, SUP. 5 minutes by boat is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Netherlands. And central Amsterdam is 30 mins by car. The chalets surround a lush garden, where children can play while parents have a drink or a meal outside. The chalets sleep 8 comfortably, with 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen and living/dining area indoors, and a spacious outdoor deck.

Romantic studio guesthouse Bethune

Guesthouse Bethune is located in the beautiful village of Tienhoven, in the middle of the Dutch lake district. Amsterdam (30 min by car) and Utrecht (15 min) are nearby. The area is famous for biking and hiking but also boat trips along the river Vecht with its castles and famous historic houses. You can enjoy the great nature (many birds) with one of our bikes or our kayak. Self catering / without breakfast. Neighbor cats in the garden, please be aware when allergic.

Historic peat hut on the lake

Just a 20-minute drive from Amsterdam, you will find yourself completely in nature, on an island in the Vinkeveense Plassen. This cabin is the only peat hut still standing on the peat peat sign time. The peat steamers put the peat to dry in this cabin and stayed there as well. During WWII, the resistance stayed in this cabin and after WWII the cabin also served as a "church" for the fishermen who went to the wrong there. The peat hut can accommodate up to 6 people

The Sugarball Cottage - Historic & Cozy Stay -

Welkom in The Sugarball Cottage uit ca. 1900, een voormalig suikerballenfabriekje dat is omgetoverd tot een stijlvol en comfortabel verblijf voor maximaal twee personen. Met een knusse patio, uitzicht op de kerktoren en de ligging in het hart van Loenen aan de Vecht is dit de ideale plek voor rustzoekers, fietsers, koppels en culinaire liefhebbers. En dankzij de uitzonderlijk centrale ligging ben je binnen korte tijd in Amsterdam, Utrecht én op Schiphol.

Vinkebiza (only to be reached by boat)

Our "second" home away from home. This is a great place to withdraw at and come at ease in our busy life. Located only 15 minutes from Amsterdam en 20 minutes from Utrecht. The lodge is situated at a unique location, an island on a lake, only to be reached over the water by boat. PLEASE NOTE: if you do not have your own boat, you can rent one in the port close by at 5 minutes sailing. The boat rental is NOT included in the price of the cabin.

The Barn

De Schuur has been in the family for 50 years, we are now going to rent it out regularly and hope you enjoy it as we do. After a 35-meter driveway, you arrive at the Schuur, a wooden house with a living room, fully equipped kitchen and two large bedrooms on the floor. And a bathroom with rainshower and bathtub. The garden is 1500 square meters. At the Barn there is a large swimming/natural water where we often swim in and a 1 hectare meadow

Welcome to The Cabana, a cozy and fully renovated accommodation with sauna and a delightful hot tub, where you can enjoy the stunning sunset views over the Vinkeveense Plassen. Situated on one of the peninsulas of the Vinkeveense Plassen, The Cabana offers a spacious garden fully fenced for total privacy. Moreover, our rooms feature upgraded beds for an even more comfortable stay.

Relax completely in this cozy and romantic log cabin on the beautiful Vinkeveense Plassen. A unique place in the middle of nature, right on the water, with its own swimming ladder and a piece of grassland where you can lounge, BBQ or just enjoy the sun. The log cabin (4 x 5 meters) is suitable for 2 to 3 people – perfect for a couple, a small family or friends.
