Before the war, it was a wholesaler of sugar and miscellaneous grains, and after the war, it was a wholesaler of footwear. Today, it is a quiet shop that deals with antique tools and old books. We started private lodging in 2020 because we wanted many people to experience the beauty of old things that live in modern times. The room you will be staying in is on the second floor, up a slightly steep staircase. The second floor has a slightly low ceiling, leaving the old-fashioned charm. While it is not very convenient, you can experience the fun of living in an old house that still exists today I think you'll be able to experience it. Why not stay with distant relatives? Breakfast is available, but dinner is usually out. Please let me know in advance if you have any requests. I will try to accommodate as much as I can.

It is run by a farm that practices animal-well fair, which is rare in the country. Spend a healing time with animals (chickens, goats, ponies) on a natural farm. This is my first time in Kyoto, and I stayed at my sister's homestay. The overall feeling is very happy. It feels like home. My sister's care gives people a warm feeling of a mother.We arrived in Kyoto at 6:00 on the first day. The lady came to pick up our luggage in the morning to let us travel light. Very considerate. She came to the station to pick us up at night. It made us feel very happy.The interior of the homestay is very good, clean and cozy, the surroundings are very quiet, the sister will definitely come to the station to pick us up when she is free, the room decoration is very cozy!!The sister also helped us wash the clothes that had some smell from the rainy season three days ago... There was really a feeling of coming home. Before🥹 we came back, the sister would turn on the air conditioner for us, and there were desserts to eat after washing (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵) It was so happy... During the three days at the sister's house, the sister always arranged the itinerary for us, always sent messages to care about where we were, where we were sitting, afraid that we were sitting wrong, very kind, if there was🥹 a problem on the road, we could call the sister and it could be easily solved!On the way home, the sister was concerned about where we were, until we boarded the plane, she was relieved. In the afternoon, she was afraid that we would forget the time while shopping, and occasionally reminded us not to forget the flight time hahaha!It's really motherly care... The food my sister made is delicious!!!Considering that we haven't eaten Chinese food for several days and specially bought preserved eggs, it was🥹🥹 so happy to learn to cook Chinese food for us!!!!There are also many little things that make me feel happy, all of which filled the time I spent at my sister's house these days, so many that I can't list them all (´▽ ｀) (e.g. my sister's puppy Gin-chan is very well-behaved, very obedient, very cute... I love Sister Lily!!Very friendly, young at heart, very easy to communicate with the host sister...!I highly recommend everyone to stay at Sister's house!!!!Looking forward to coming back to Kansai next time, I will come back to stay at my sister's house!!

I stayed one night and two days on my way around the pottery producing area. The check-in time was late, but they handled it kindly. It was located along the main road, and the historic building was carefully renovated, and we had a comfortable stay. It was an inn that I would like to stay at again when visiting various areas such as the Lake Biwa area, Kyoto, and Shinraku, using this as a base.

It was a superb experience!The hostess, Lily, is very welcoming. I felt it before I even checked in😊!We are picked up and dropped off at JR station on time every day, with a delicious and hearty breakfast. If we're lucky, we can catch a hearty dinner, which is definitely not inferior to the Japanese home-style specialties at the izakaya!The room is very clean and quiet, including every corner of the house, with design ingenuity, such as handmade beds, and self-designed renovated rooms (recognized by well-known designers!), you can see Sister Lily's enthusiasm for life everywhere!If you are lucky, you can meet friends from all over the world under the enthusiastic organization of Lily. It is really a great experience. You will definitely have unexpected enthusiasm and gains when you come to Kyoto to stay in this homestay. I will definitely come back next time I have the chance. I look forward to our next meeting!😉

Lily, our host, was so sweet and kind towards the 6 of us! Her breakfast and pick-up services were great, asked about our diets, and she always made sure that we're safe and talked to us about various things. It was really nice coming home to a friendly host and a tidy house, she'd offer us a small treat once we've cleaned up after a full day of travel! I will be coming back here if I travel to Kyoto again, thank you again Lily姐!

Lovely stay! My daughter and I enjoyed the place and the area. The home cooked breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip. It was delicious! Loved the traditional home feel and wished we could’ve stayed longer during this trip. Host was very kind and helpful and the location is very walkable and close to bus stops to get around.

I had a 9-night stay here. Takumi is an excellent host, and I could feel the warmth from everyone in his family toward us. Very attentive and kind. From the clean bedroom to the extremely delicious food he cooked, he was always happy to drive me anywhere in Obama. I really hope to have the opportunity to return once more.
