It's a very calm space with abundant nature, no car noise or loud sounds, and a private garden. You can enjoy a very rare open fire and a BBQ outdoors.The room has a firewood stove! (Winter only) There is a gazebo in the garden, and if there is no wind, you can have a BBQ even on rainy days. There is a Fire TV Stick! A BBQ stove and charcoal (3 kg) are provided at the listing, so you can enjoy a BBQ if you bring your own ingredients. We can accommodate up to 5 people. If you drop the firewood, you can enjoy an open fire! You can see the ropeway of Hakodateyama ski resort from the room. The inn overlooks the forest in a quiet villa area. You can even set up a tent to practice camping and enjoy a BBQ! The interior varies depending on the season. Local priority. It's in the countryside, and there are always insects because the mountains are close by. It is not suitable for people who dislike insects, those with small children, or those who are concerned. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming. "Watamukiyama Village" was born in a corner of this town in 2019. Accommodation is limited to one group at a time, and the accommodation fee starts from the rate for two people.
