It was a better and more comfortable stay than I imagined.It was very clean and had everything we needed, and there were many bars around.Parking was also very close and easy to park, and it was easy to find an accommodation.The interior was very spacious and easy to spend time in, and there was plenty of hot water in the bath.It was a perfect place to stay for our needs.I recommend it.

I'm very happy with my stay here. The location was the best I could ask for, as I was able to walk to most places I wanted to visit and the public transport options were decent for the sites which were further away. I enjoyed being able to walk by the Kamogawa river and through the Imperial Palace park in particular, as they're both beautiful areas in the middle of the city. I stayed in was a charming Japanese style room, which was spacious for one person. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed (towels, shampoo, hairdryer etc.), which was very conveninent as it allowed me to travel lighter. Communication with the host was excellent. Tadashi was quick to send me instructions, reply to my messages and offered me recommendations for nearby places to get food. Furthermore, he was kind enough to let me store my luggage at his place before my check-in and after my check-out, which was very convenient for me. I fully recommend staying here and would be happy to come again!

Our stay at the apartment was wonderful, largely thanks to Hirari's incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. He was always ready to help with anything we needed, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful touches for our children, including some delicious local sweets! Hirari even helped us reorganize the room to better suit our family's needs, which was so kind and helpful. His warm and generous nature truly made our trip even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a host who genuinely cares about their guests.

We had a great stay at Home Inn! The room was immaculate and the perfect size. Check in was very easy and the codes make it simple to access at all hours. The location is nice and quiet, just a short walk from the train station to take you into the night life (only 3 stops). The bed is quite firm. Overall great stay!

Lovely apartment, well located - central, but not in an area that was too busy. Convenient for station but also near restaurants, temples and shrines while being in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommend!

Such a great experience! First time trying a ryokan and would do it again for longer in a heartbeat. So much space in the bedroom with a living room space, personal bathroom and balcony, and everything was fully clean. Hori is an amazing host and was extremely responsive. AMAZING location too! So much to do around the area I feel very lucky to have visited. Thanks!

The apartment is easily reachable by public transport. It's very easy to find as well. The host, Mr. Naoko, is a very kind person, and he is very supportive and responsive. The apartment has almost all the appliances and utilities that may be required by any guest. To summarise, it was a nice experience and a very comfortable stay.

This cozy apartment offers excellent amenities and is situated in a central, walkable location. I felt completely at home during my stay, with the convenience of returning for breaks. The sauna and cold tub were fantastic additions. I highly recommend this place for a minimalist getaway.

The property is situated near Ono Station, it is a little farther from the City Centre and yet very accessible. The 7-11 and Lawson stores are nearby 4 min walk. Overall anyone looking for a place not exactly in the city centre yet accessible, this is the place to go. As dar the apartment is concerned, it’s quite big, has sofa cum bed and tatami beds (sleeping in tatami beds is very relaxing) Taketo has a very in depth books and guides for local recommendations and recommendations throughout Kyoto. Overall will definitely come again to stay and will definitely recommend.

The area around the accommodation was very quiet in the afternoon, and on weekday mornings, Inari Shrine tourists come by bus, so it can be annoying for those who sleep in. But if you get up a little early and prepare, there's no problem. And there were grocery stores and convenience stores around the accommodation, and there were many restaurants.

We spent 8 days in this apartment and it was surprisingly convenient! The location is excellent (close to the city center, but quiet). Everything is as in the photos and in the description. We loved our stay :)

A very efficient studio apartment of small dimensions common in Japan, while rare for most folks visiting from the West. Staying in a well maintained space of this kind makes a visitor's experience more "authentic." By being on a small street one can observe the rhythms of daily life than in most tourist areas.

Keiko’s place is a perfect spot to truly experience everything that Kyoto has to offer. The location is incredibly central, next door to the Nishiki Market as well as major transportation hubs. The guesthouse feels Japanese when you first walk in, with shoes off and sliding doors. Just keep in mind that the rooms are on the fourth floor with no elevators, but if you can manage the stairs during your stay you’ll have a great time. Definitely recommend!

Arisa's 3rd floor apartment is great value for the money, because you get to stay in Gion and is close to everything a tourist needs to visit in Kyoto. I stayed there for four nights with my three kids (2, 5, and 7 years old) and really enjoyed it. A few notes: 1. The address Google maps gives is inaccurate. One day before our arrival, Arisa provided us pictures and instructions how to find the apartment, which was very helpful. We found the apartment without any issue. 2. The stairs to the 3rd floor apartment is quite steep and narrow. 3. The apartment has a washer but no dryer. I wshed our clothes every evening and had dry clothes to wear in the morning.. No problem at all

Great place would stay again

We stayed at Yoshimi’s place. Very responsive to messages and willing to assist when needed. Location is great and it has plenty of nice cafes.

I love the place I was at, everything was so near and easy to find. The host did a great job checking me in and out. Was there for a whole month so it felt like home and was so comfortable. I highly recommend for a ling stay because everything you need is near by.

The location of this stay was perfect, within walking distance of many of Kyotos must-see places and great restaurants. The apartment was small (like most Japanese apartments), but incredible value for the price. Taiyo was helpful and responsive.

I absolutely loved this apartment. I stayed for a few weeks and didn’t want to leave. The bed was so comfortable and there was plenty of closet space for a longer stay. It was so close to everything too, but in a really quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Kyoto! Host was so friendly and kind as well, and helped me ship my luggage when it was time to move on.

Great location and very cozy place! Host was very helpful to accommodate our arrival time, there were some bugs in the third floor outdoor shower area but bug spray was provided as well. Would be great if box tissues could be provided! Overall a very lovely place and we had a great time!

We stayed at four airBnb‘s in Japan and all have their good points, but this was by far the best. Located in a quiet suburb so not walking distance to the main sites of Kyoto, but with some lovely sites that we would not have seen otherwise Close by. It was as simple Uber ride or train ride to get into Kyoto for main sightseeing and it was lovely to come home to a quiet un bustling local with a wide choice of excellent restaurants to choose among. The apartment itself is spacious, by far the most spacious we stayed in And it’s part of a an apartment complex which has a small gym. Nori and Fumi even served us breakfast all three days we were there in another upstairs breakfast room. To top it off, they picked this up and dropped us off at this train station three days later. All in all it was a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well worth the price we paid

very large apartment. very close to tourist areas in Kyoto. lovely semi-outdoors bath big bathroom. lots of living space. fresh towels when needed would recommend. The apartment has a small kettle and fridge would have been better to have a small kitchenette added with a bit more facilities but didn't negatively affect our trip
