Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rome

Super nice place to stay with private roof terrace, table tennis table in the courtyard and super accessibility by public transport and 24/7 grocery stores. We were allowed to arrive at eight and the accommodation had everything we needed. From towels and bedding with enough sleeping space for all of us to cosmetics and kitchen utensils. Place was very clean and air conditioned. We also liked the fast and uncomplicated exchange with the host and the flexible check-in and check-out. Gladly again!

beautifully tucked away in the middle of Rome. short walk to major attractions and restaurants. the unit had the magic of a quaint apartment overlooking roof top houses and close by church. Rosa was an amazing host, very flexible and accommodating when we had to change our itinerary. will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.

We just loved staying at Flaminia’s apartment. So spacious, clean, comfortable and charming. And what a spot! We walked everywhere! Flaminia responded to any questions we had and was a wonderful host - hope to come back one day!

Wonderful stay, beautiful room and great recommendations

Great, spacious apartment. The large terrace was a lovely place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The place was very clean. Tiziana was attentive and friendly.

Giulia's place is wonderful. It is in an amazing location. It's just a few minutes from the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona. In addition, Giulia is a gracious and responsive hostess. The only downside for some people would be the 66 steps (including 6 landings) to get to the apartment. If you have no mobility issues, this is a perfect choice.

Location location location!! We were right in the middle of the Pantheon, the trevi fountain and so much more! This location can not be beat. We spent most of our time in the local town of Trastevere. The food is incredible here and not as “touristy”. That town was just a 5 or 10 minute walk. I loved that the apartment had a washing machine. That was such a pleasant surprise. Bed was fine! Shower pressure was good. No complaints!

It was a great stay. Quite central, close to the terminal. Monica and Giancomo are very attentive and responded quickly in case of doubts or questions about the place.

Delightful, attractively decorated, very comfortable, and with a terrific rooftop terrace on which to eat, have a drink or just chill, this place was so wonderful that our only regret was having to leave! The hosts (Elena and Tomasso) were helpful, responsive and and answered all of our questions. The location is quiet yet central (Monti is our favourite neighborhood to stay in while in Rome) with many key attractions within an easy walk, lots of lovely cafés and restos nearby, a subway station 2 min away, and charming streets all around. We fell in love with the place and know where we’ll we staying next time we visit Rome! Grazie!

Mimma and Claudia’s property was a great find in Rome. It’s in a quiet part of Rome (Prati district)…away from the crowds. It’s close to the Ottoviano Metro station (5-10 min walk), which makes it very easy to get around Rome and it’s a short walk to the Vatican. The surrounding community and restaurants were full of locals, grocery store across the street from the property, local boutique stores in the area. A great location. As for the the property, it’s is very spacious we are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) - this property has 3 bedrooms - 1 with and en-suite bathroom (for the adults) and our boys each had their own bedroom and shared a bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning which was great. My wife and I used the outside terrace every night to enjoy drinks and talk about our day. The hosts have rightly earned the title of AirBnB Super-hosts. They were the most organized hosts we met on our trip…highly recommend this property for privacy but easy access to all of Rome.

Beautifully decorated unique and spacious studio in a great location! Only a few blocks to the "heart" of Trastevere with a never-ending assortment of restaurants. We staid here with our kids (3 and 6 years) and the easy access to bed after late dinners was great. Even greater was the small terrace infront of the apartment where we could still sit and enjoy the evening after the kids fell asleep. The apartment, being at a courtyard of a building, was quiet during the night. There were 2 storeys of fairly narrow steps to reach the place (1 up, 1 down), so this could be something to consider if traveling with very small kids. Our host Francesco was kind and flexible. An absolutely beautiful and quaint holiday flat in Rome. Well located and easy to get to and from when exploring Rome. Highly recommend!

I am very happy with my stay at Livia's. The apartment was as described: spacious, tastefully furnished, with a large and very comfortable bed. A large terrace with a table and chairs is at the exclusive disposal of guests. We often used it when drinking coffee or wine. Cleanliness in the apartment and bathroom perfect 5/5. Kitchenette equipped with all necessary dishes, kitchen utensils, olive oil and other spices. Livia prepared refreshments. She also left water in the fridge, butter and a choice of tea and coffee. Livia is very nice and hospitable. We were greeted nicely by her. She recommended interesting places to see, prepared a guide and a map of the city especially for guests. She immediately booked a table for us at the restaurant for the evening. That's very nice. The contact with Liva was excellent. They respond to all questions and requests. Thank you, Livio, for your hospitality :)

With steps away from most everything - the location was perfect. If not close, a taxi stand and a bus route was right outside the door. The place was exactly as described, so clean and perfect for us. The place was very secure too - which is nice in the hustle and bustle of Rome. The host was very responsive and helped us with early check in and transportation services. Highly recommend!

I had such a memorable stay at this beautiful flat in Trastevere. The neighborhood is one of the best in Rome—full of charm, great food, and a real local vibe, yet close to everything. The apartment itself is warm, comfortable, and full of personality, with an incredible collection of art that made it feel truly special. Communication with Fabia was excellent—responsive, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. It was the perfect home base for an unforgettable time in Rome.

Amazing location right in the very heart of Trastavere. This apartment had everything we needed for our short stay in Rome and was in a perfect location to access the sights of the city and the dining and nightlife of charming Trastavere. It was exactly as described and Germana was a friendly and welcoming host. Hopefully one day we can return.

Matteo was a great host! We only stayed one night but the location was great. Wish we would have had longer to enjoy the area.

This apartment could not be in a better location - you are ridiculously close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, but tucked away in an adorable side street so it's not busy or loud. Giulia was really helpful and let us in earlier than the check-in time because of our early train arrival. The place has a lot of stairs, which weren't an issue for us but something to be mindful of. I would recommend this apartment and would love to stay there again!

Absolutely perfect stay! Emma and Carlo were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond with thoughtful restaurant recommendations that truly enhanced our experience. The location couldn’t be better—centrally located and walkable to everything we wanted to see and do in Rome. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated with stylish, comfortable furniture and attention to detail throughout. It felt like a home away from home. Laura is a great host, she met us at the apartment and thoroughly went through everything we needed to know. Laura had a book of local recommendations and ‘how to do things’ in the apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and in a great location with easy access to restaurants, bars etc and the buskers in Trulissa Square in Travestere. The kitchen and living area is open plan and was very functional. The bedroom was a good size for a couple. There is a mini market only 1 min away and a super market about 4 mins across the river. She booked a taxi for an early morning ride to the airport because taxis are hand to find in busy months. The stairs may be challenging for people less mobile. A great place to stay.

Our stay in Rome was perfect! The air conditioning was a godsend on some hot Roman days. The location was fantastic and walkable to almost everything. We would definitely stay here again. Cynthia was a great communicator and we felt right at home.

Luana E Fabio and Eduardo are incredible hosts! I got into an unpleasant misunderstanding, missed my flight, and booked their beautiful apartment for 2 nights, until the next flight, I was met in the apartment with a complimentary fruit and water and then guys brought a hot delicious pizza, which was incredibly nice and unexpected! They helped me with the transfer upon check-out and were always in touch, these are the best hosts I have ever stayed with, they greeted me with a soul, not as a guest, but as a family member. The apartment itself is in the best location, which is very important, on the first floor, I needed it because I had very heavy luggage. The apartment is large, clean and very light, I felt there not like in a rented apartment, but like in my own apartment. I felt in love with them place! On my next trip to Rome I will stay here definitely ! And just a 2-minute walk away is the insanely delicious and best restaurant in the Trastavere area, “Trattoria Da Enzo al 29”.

We had a fantastic stay! Claudio and Francesca welcomed us in person and answered any questions we had, and provided recommendations for fantastic local restaurants. Francesca was also very responsive throughout our stay, directing us the best route to take to get to all the major spots via the subway. She even ordered a taxi for us to get to the train station at the end of our stay. The space was clean and perfect for our few days in Rome. Grazie Claudio e Francesca!
