Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rome

We can’t say enough about Carolina’s apartment. The location was perfect, it was beautifully appointed, such a comfy bed, beautiful clean linen, a lounge with such a comfortable sofa, kitchen with everything you need. Wi-Fi, aircon, lovely soap and shampoo in a clean light bathroom. We honestly couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Even though close (walking distance) to absolutely everything including great restaurants the apartment is in a quiet friendly area. Everything was wonderful. A last word for Carolina and her Mum Carla. Carla met us outside as our taxi arrived and gave us a huge hug and was so friendly and kind. Showed us around the apartment and definitely went the extra mile. We asked Carolina quite a few questions before we arrived (she organised our airport transfer straight to her door) and also while we were there and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay there again. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Carolina

Beautifully decorated unique and spacious studio in a great location! Only a few blocks to the "heart" of Trastevere with a never-ending assortment of restaurants. We staid here with our kids (3 and 6 years) and the easy access to bed after late dinners was great. Even greater was the small terrace infront of the apartment where we could still sit and enjoy the evening after the kids fell asleep. The apartment, being at a courtyard of a building, was quiet during the night. There were 2 storeys of fairly narrow steps to reach the place (1 up, 1 down), so this could be something to consider if traveling with very small kids. Our host Francesco was kind and flexible. Federico was a great host and was very responsive. We had to move from a previous Airbnb due to mold and I messaged Federico in the morning and he got back within 30 minutes and said the apartment was ready and we could check in whenever was best for us. The apparent itself was very nice and honestly better than the pictures. The price we paid I think was low as it was nice with the balcony and the space in general. He even left us a bottle of wine and some water waiting in the fridge. I would recommend this place to anyone and we had no issues. Great central location and nice place at a great price.

We just loved staying at Flaminia’s apartment. So spacious, clean, comfortable and charming. And what a spot! We walked everywhere! Flaminia responded to any questions we had and was a wonderful host - hope to come back one day!

Great, spacious apartment. The large terrace was a lovely place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The place was very clean. Tiziana was attentive and friendly.

beautifully tucked away in the middle of Rome. short walk to major attractions and restaurants. the unit had the magic of a quaint apartment overlooking roof top houses and close by church. Rosa was an amazing host, very flexible and accommodating when we had to change our itinerary. will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.

It was a great stay. Quite central, close to the terminal. Monica and Giancomo are very attentive and responded quickly in case of doubts or questions about the place.

Mimma and Claudia’s property was a great find in Rome. It’s in a quiet part of Rome (Prati district)…away from the crowds. It’s close to the Ottoviano Metro station (5-10 min walk), which makes it very easy to get around Rome and it’s a short walk to the Vatican. The surrounding community and restaurants were full of locals, grocery store across the street from the property, local boutique stores in the area. A great location. As for the the property, it’s is very spacious we are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) - this property has 3 bedrooms - 1 with and en-suite bathroom (for the adults) and our boys each had their own bedroom and shared a bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning which was great. My wife and I used the outside terrace every night to enjoy drinks and talk about our day. The hosts have rightly earned the title of AirBnB Super-hosts. They were the most organized hosts we met on our trip…highly recommend this property for privacy but easy access to all of Rome.

Delightful, attractively decorated, very comfortable, and with a terrific rooftop terrace on which to eat, have a drink or just chill, this place was so wonderful that our only regret was having to leave! The hosts (Elena and Tomasso) were helpful, responsive and and answered all of our questions. The location is quiet yet central (Monti is our favourite neighborhood to stay in while in Rome) with many key attractions within an easy walk, lots of lovely cafés and restos nearby, a subway station 2 min away, and charming streets all around. We fell in love with the place and know where we’ll we staying next time we visit Rome! Grazie!

I traveled to Rome from May 27 to June 2 with my son and niece, and our experience at this accommodation was excellent. The location is unbeatable: when you go out to the corner you find transport stations, restaurants, pharmacies, everything is very accessible! The apartment is fully equipped, very clean and cozy. I loved the bathroom, and we had no problems with the water or electricity during our stay. The master bedroom is very comfortable, and the decoration of the place seemed beautiful and very tasteful. Alberto and Anna had some nice welcome touches, leaving us snacks and coffee pods. Everything in the apartment worked perfectly, we found nothing damaged or out of place. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and, above all, safe. In short: a 10 out of 10 experience! Thank you very much, Alberto and Anna.

An absolutely beautiful and quaint holiday flat in Rome. Well located and easy to get to and from when exploring Rome. Highly recommend!

Nice area, responsive host, clean place and accommodating for our baby

I am very happy with my stay at Livia's. The apartment was as described: spacious, tastefully furnished, with a large and very comfortable bed. A large terrace with a table and chairs is at the exclusive disposal of guests. We often used it when drinking coffee or wine. Cleanliness in the apartment and bathroom perfect 5/5. Kitchenette equipped with all necessary dishes, kitchen utensils, olive oil and other spices. Livia prepared refreshments. She also left water in the fridge, butter and a choice of tea and coffee. Livia is very nice and hospitable. We were greeted nicely by her. She recommended interesting places to see, prepared a guide and a map of the city especially for guests. She immediately booked a table for us at the restaurant for the evening. That's very nice. The contact with Liva was excellent. They respond to all questions and requests. Thank you, Livio, for your hospitality :)

Amazing location right in the very heart of Trastavere. This apartment had everything we needed for our short stay in Rome and was in a perfect location to access the sights of the city and the dining and nightlife of charming Trastavere. It was exactly as described and Germana was a friendly and welcoming host. Hopefully one day we can return.

Lovely apartment in a great area. Very easy to get to on the Metro from the main Rome train station. Mauro was brilliant, very responsive and there to help us check in despite us arriving quite late Fantastic all round

This apartment could not be in a better location - you are ridiculously close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, but tucked away in an adorable side street so it's not busy or loud. Giulia was really helpful and let us in earlier than the check-in time because of our early train arrival. The place has a lot of stairs, which weren't an issue for us but something to be mindful of. I would recommend this apartment and would love to stay there again!

10/10! Cecilia is a very responsive, kind and hospitable host. It's the reason her listing is ranked as a guest favourite, with super host status. Cecilia provided local recommendations, and the location is unbeatable, with the metro, Colosseum and other key sights within walking distance. The apartment was pristine, in the midst of the activity in Rome, yet the apartment is quiet and peaceful. Excellent value for money too! I'll be back!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your family home! We loved the decor, location and history all around. Meeting Paolo at entry was definitely a high point - he’s so informative and you can tell he loves his country (listen to the food recommendations too!) Would recommend highly to stay here and would stay again if I’m lucky enough! :) Grazie!!!!

Our stay was amazing! The apartment was centrally located and very walkable, and was stocked with everything we could need! Alessandro was also an amazing host and was very responsive!

Stairs, stairs, and stairs. Windows, windows, and window. AC!!! We visited during a heat wave, and would not have survived without AC. Lia’s place is a great mini loft that is central to the tourist sites, and there are a few great restaurants within 2 minutes from the building.

Silvia's studio was ideal for our needs. It was very close to Trevi fountain and thus the spanish steps also, location was right amongst the action. Check in instructions were very clear and easy, the building was authentic but the studio itself was modern, clean and spacious. It also had a small washing machine which is a bonus. We were able to walk to all major attractions, the Colosseum and Vatican were both each about 30 minutes walk. Locally was great eating places and shopping. Rome Termini was a 10 euro taxi away. Sylvia gave great advice on local dining and transport tips. Would definitely stay again next time.
