Beautiful and extremely peaceful place to stay while in Sao Miguel!!! It’s in a great location - close to the city and in a central area that’s easily drivable to any part of the island (not too far to the east or west). Definitely recommend!! Parking is super easy. There’s parking right outside the gate on the other side of the street. Looks to be about 4 parking spots, we were the only car ever parked there.

Enchanting small "garden house apartment" with its own seating in the garden and barbecue use. Lovingly furnished - small but nice! For us, a quiet feel-good place just outside the center of the city. We were allowed to store our bikes in the shed. Communication was great, thank you dear Celia! Will come again any time!

The pool and pool area is completely private which we loved. We had sole use of the pool and made the most of it! Maria Louisa was always on hand if you needed anything but respected our privacy which was so lovely. You can walk down the hill to the train station which goes one stop to Sintra old town or to Lisbon in the other direction. Trains are cheap. It’s a bit of a hill back up to the house from the station or the supermarket which wasn’t a problem for us but worth being aware. The house has a coffee machine and everything you need, although you may wish to bring pool towels. The pool area is set in a beautifully manicured garden and we spend lots of time here as a family. We always felt very comfortable with Frank and Femke. Both are great hosts and very personable. Frank and Femke have given us many useful tips for activities and restaurant recommendations in the area. :-) The apartment itself is very spacious and well equipped. Good value for money here. The hosts' property is home to many different animals, all of which are lovingly cared for. It was great to see this animal love. Thank you again!

Despite our late arrival, Charles welcomed us with kindness and a smile. a nice little touch, one morning we found 2 eggs for our breakfast. Very flowery area where it is pleasant to walk. On our next trip to Portugal, we will choose this address. Warm regards to Corrie

Not only does this place match the description and photos, but Alva is also a very kind host. The location is extraordinary, facing the sea, which allows you to watch very beautiful sunsets without even having to leave the house. there are all amenities nearby and a great beach within walking distance. Sintra, an exceptional city about 30 minutes' drive away. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend Alva's place

I loved my two weeks at Roseanne’s place. It was exactly what I needed. The peace and serenity I felt was wonderful. I felt comfortable and Roseanne made me feel at home. Honestly, it felt like I wasn’t at a Airbnb but like I was home. I enjoyed the skating bowl as well as a spectator. The area is not too far from Mafra and Ericeria is just a short drive down to the beach and shops. I enjoyed the trail from Roseanne’s down to the beach. All in all, I would highly recommend Roseanne’s place. I am a single woman traveling through Portugal and safety is my number one priority, it felt good to be in a gated Airbnb.

One of the best AirBnB experiences we had so far. The apartment has everything you need for a longer stay. It was extremely clean and tidy and the kitchen had everything we wished for to prepare our own meals. The hosts are welcoming and kind. We even got some fruits from their garden and a delicious regional desert. You can reach a supermarket, the beach in Machico and authentic restaurants by foot. We would come back anytime when visiting Madeira.

The studio is set in a beautiful, tranquil rural location, with only a 15 minute drive into the historic centre of Tavira, and just over 30 minutes from Faro and the airport. The studio is comfortable, clean and very well equiped, with some lovely touches (bathrobes, beach towels etc) The hosts are very thoughtful and considerate. The heated pool was much appreciated in the slightly unpredictable spring weather.

The hosts go out of their way to accommodate your needs as a traveler. They are warm and friendly and have created an apartment that reflects it. It’s in a great location with all the amenities a travel wants. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very spacious, located in a peaceful, green area, which made it a perfect place to relax. Anne-Marie and her husband are very friendly and accommodating hosts. The only constructive criticism we have is that the apartment was quite dusty overall, with many cobwebs. However, it was not dirty or unclean—both the kitchen and bathroom were reasonably clean.

Johanna was in touch well in advance to make sure I could find her place and had no issues. It is a very welcoming place to stay. Ideal for women travelling alone as it's very safe. I'd recommend her place for anyone wanting to enjoy the beaches around Ericeira.

Exceptional stay at Grabiela's. We were more than 8 hours late on our flight, so we arrived around 12:20 a.m. and she greeted us with a smile, taking the time to explain everything to us. She is a wonderful person with a very big heart, we had the chance to share an evening with her and her sweetheart and it was one of our best during our stay in Portugal. The accommodation is impeccable, very quiet, far from the noise of the city and close to public transportation. There is a small terrace in front that is very nice and completely hidden for privacy. I would highly recommend it, both for its clean, quiet and useful appearance and for its host who is an extremely caring lady and who will help you with everything! Thank you again for all the time we spent together and I hope to see you soon!
