TAKIO 3 guesthouse

Very classic Japanese homestay, beautifully decorated.Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is in a residential area. When you walk from the homestay to the station, you can see other Japanese houses, which is very atmospheric. The price is actually similar to that of a hotel in the city center, the main thing is the experience. The Host Makoto is very nice, pick up and drop off at check-in and check-out, and introduce the facilities around the B&B at check-in.We tried the Osaka burn he recommended and it was delicious. There are also different activities every month, and if you catch up, you can join guests from different countries.
A traditional Japanese living area features tatami mat flooring and a wooden staircase leading to an upper level. A low wooden table is centered on cushions arranged around it. Decorative wall art and bamboo blinds enhance the serene atmosphere.

We've really enjoyed our stay at 龍's place. It is an extremely convenient location from the airport and a good launching point to the rest of Osaka and beyond. The grocery stores and drug stores around the area is great place to stock up on Japanese goods. Despite the creaky stairs that can be loud when going up and down to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the place is equipped with everything that you will need for a short stay while in Japan, kitchen, washing machine, etc. The only small complain is that the bathrooms smells like pee, the rug next to the toilet is questionable and I'm not sure when it was last washed. All in all, it's great value, great location, host was very easy to communicate with. The available locker room post check-out is super helpful if you have a later flight. Thank you, will definitely go back again if we are back in Osaka.
A traditional-style room features tatami flooring and walls adorned with a large artwork depicting a woman in traditional attire. Sliding doors with bamboo screens create a serene ambiance, while a central wooden table invites relaxation. Subtle lighting highlights the room's cultural elements.

My family and I really enjoyed this place, it’s conveniently located by the train station which is also 30 min away from the airport. Thank you to the host who kindly helped us navigate the train, this was our first time in Japan and her guidance was greatly appreciated. The decor is beautiful, very traditional. I also like that storage is available to leave your luggage after check out. Will stay here again!

Chieri was super kind and accommodating and easy to communicate with. The location is in a small town easily accessible to Nara or Uji or Kyoto by train! I recommend having a meal at the cafe or the beer garden, both very tasty and wonderful!

Chieri was welcoming and the perfect host. Together with her mother Kauri-san and beautiful WabiSuke, they made us feel at home and gave us a little experience of living within a Japanese Community which is what we were seeking. From inviting us to a local Sushi restaurant to allowing us to share her Tea Ceremony class, Chieri has made our short stay truly memorable.

I had a wonderful time at Miko's apartment. The apartment is located in a complex consisting of several residential units and these are all decorated in traditional Japanese style. Only high-quality materials were used in all areas, so you can feel very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and well maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, I can only express myself completely positive about my stay. I recommend this place to all travelers who choose peace and seclusion, in my opinion, in addition to a temple on the mountain nearby, there are no special cultural sites nearby.

Niho was amazing! Very welcoming and gave us some amazing information. Her accommodation is beautiful and located in a great area making it easy to get around. Hardly noticed the noise of the train line/planes.

The owner is an elderly grandparents, very kind and kind, I came with my girlfriend with my mother, Grandpa very detailed to introduce us to the house facilities and surrounding transportation, gave me a key with a bell.It is not easy for two elderly people to do the hygiene, and we as a guest can only do our best to take out the garbage and bedding to clean the place, I hope my grandparents will always be healthy!Only stayed one night and rushed away, the next day Grandma prepared breakfast for us to eat, but we did not get up at midday in the country, so there is no habit of eating breakfast, the feeling of rejecting the old people's feelings are broken. Grandpa also warmly say hello to us when he finally goes, is really a very kind person, and I hope the grandparents are happy every day!

KuraKura, an entire old house in Yoshino for rent, featuring a sauna tent, BBQ, and wood splitting machine

JennyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved our stay at KuraKura! It’s a huge traditional house with beautiful, spacious rooms. There were just 2 of us but could easily accommodate a large group. We especially enjoyed the kotatsu with a view of the garden; the big kitchen with lots of equipment; and the wooden tables on the tatami. We walked up to Yoshinoyama one day, it’s quite far but possible! We also explored the local neighbourhood, with its lovely waterfalls and shrines. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. They helped with our luggage and drove us to the train station. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!
