Great value for the price. Tatsuya met us at the front and even gave us a tour. He's a very friendly host. My daughter had a blast sleeping on the floor since shes used to being in a bed. Also note Tatsuya was kind enough to let us check in early and willing to let us store our luggages after check out. HIGHLY RECOMMENED!

A century-old Machiya townhouse with free parking

It‘s was our best stay on our Japan journey so far. Extremely nice and modern (but still traditional elements) house, calm neighborhood, perfect location to discover several beautiful places in Kanazawa. We stayed there three nights and it was also a good period for Kanazawa. The communication with the host team was super fast, easygoing and service-oriented. We also joined a really nice calligraphy class because out host organized this course for us. Very lovely place!!

Kanazawa Machiya tea house "Kototoki" | 2nd floor

AlexRating, 5 stars11 months ago
This is a very special place to stay. Very beautiful tea house right in the higashiyama district. The toilet is shared at night by one other resident and during the day with the tea shop but it was never an issue. There is a private sink and shower and guests have the whole second floor. If you want to stay in a beautiful, historic building, this is it.
Two spacious beds are positioned in a room with traditional Japanese design. Rice paper sliding doors allow natural light to filter in, while a round chandelier provides overhead illumination. The tatami flooring creates an authentic atmosphere, enhancing the room's tranquil feel.

Traditional Japanese private home, Kanazawa Station, Higashi Chaya, Omi-cho Market Center, Free Parking

A very smooth and happy experience ~ After booking, due to the adjustment of the itinerary, I communicated with the Host very smoothly and resolved the issue of adjusting the check-in time. With the patient answers of the Host, the check-in process was smooth.Japanese homes are also a very authentic experience. The cabin is great for a group of friends, everyone can have a comfortable personal space, not crowded, but we didn't find a full-length mirror. There is a certain distance from Kanazawa Station, if you have too much luggage or it is too heavy, you can consider the owner's other house. But this house is right by the river!!!The surroundings are quiet and cozy.Walking distance to Chayu Street attractions.

There is a remodel of a 100-year-old townhouse, Share House GAOoo1 Breakfast (300 yen).

JérémyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I stayed at Soku San and Gao's sharehouse and had a pleasant welcome and accommodating. The house is wooden style, very clean and nice and the room was with traditional bedding. I had to ask the host for an additional futon for sleeping on tatami was a bit hard for me. Soku San proposed paid breakfast for only ¥300. Kanazawa surroundings can be accessed easily walking or with loop busses. I recommend the Kenrokuen gardens and the castle grounds park. And food market Omicho. Stay at this place was great and Shiba inu is cute!
