TAKIO 3 guesthouse

HaoxuanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Very classic Japanese homestay, beautifully decorated.Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is in a residential area. When you walk from the homestay to the station, you can see other Japanese houses, which is very atmospheric. The price is actually similar to that of a hotel in the city center, the main thing is the experience. The Host Makoto is very nice, pick up and drop off at check-in and check-out, and introduce the facilities around the B&B at check-in.We tried the Osaka burn he recommended and it was delicious. There are also different activities every month, and if you catch up, you can join guests from different countries.
A serene tea room-inspired space features tatami mat flooring and calming neutral walls. A person in traditional attire is seated on a small cushion. A soft-glowing lamp and decorative flower arrangement add warmth to the minimalistic setting.

Charming Kyoto Machiya

GavanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My partner and I absolutely Loved this place! the place does match the description but it really gives it an amazing charm and it felt like a real home. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We loved getting to know Licia, Luis and some of their volunteers. We were very happy to meet the kitties (they love to play. SO CUTE) and learn more about how their rescue program works as well as how extensive their network is. overall, we had an excellent time and loved every second of our time in maneki machiya (Cozy).
A cozy twin room features two single beds with crisp white linens. Natural light filters through two windows, complemented by inviting views. A wooden table with two chairs adds functionality, while the earthy walls and air conditioning unit enhance comfort and convenience.

Twin Bed room / Hibari hostel

BijanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Hibari Hostel is my favorite airbnb I have stayed at so far in Japan. The room is spacious, with the bed and pillow being the most comfortable so far. Laundry is free. The hosts are kind, speak good English, understanding, and responsive. I made a ton of mistakes such as losing my keys and checking out late, and they were patient the entire time. The location is in a peaceful neighborhood without many tourists; the onsen and restaurants nearby are wonderful. I would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the future!

We've really enjoyed our stay at 龍's place. It is an extremely convenient location from the airport and a good launching point to the rest of Osaka and beyond. The grocery stores and drug stores around the area is great place to stock up on Japanese goods. Despite the creaky stairs that can be loud when going up and down to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the place is equipped with everything that you will need for a short stay while in Japan, kitchen, washing machine, etc. The only small complain is that the bathrooms smells like pee, the rug next to the toilet is questionable and I'm not sure when it was last washed. All in all, it's great value, great location, host was very easy to communicate with. The available locker room post check-out is super helpful if you have a later flight. Thank you, will definitely go back again if we are back in Osaka.

MODERN CLASSIC TOWN HOUSE KYOTO

ReeceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A must-stay in Kyoto! Staying in this traditional Japanese house was an unforgettable experience—something you absolutely have to try when visiting Kyoto. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the station, making it super easy to get around the city. The house was spotless, and the host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. They helped me store my luggage before check-in and even let me stay an extra hour on checkout day, which was a huge help. Highly recommend—wonderful host and a truly special stay!

Traditional Japanese Garden Room.【HATSUNE】

ShimanRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Very lucky to stay at Hatsune, the Host is very nice and very welcoming! We arrived in Kyoto on a rainy night and saw warm lights in a quiet neighborhood, he was waiting for us.He received us very warmly, helped us dry our luggage and move it to the room.He took out two maps, helped us introduce the delicious and fun food nearby, and gave us a perfect plan for the next two days ~ (It's just that we couldn't get up early so we didn't strictly follow it hahaha. There is a barbecue seven nearby😋, delicious Wagyu and thick sliced beef tongue!5 minutes walk to 711 and delicious eel rice sashimi and more!1 or 2 stops from Kyoto Station! The room is very nice!It is the traditional Japanese tatami courtyard room we want, it feels like sitting on the bed and looking at the yard can be very comfortable to daydream... The toilet and bathroom are very clean, thank you for your care!Hatsune is the only room on the first floor, so the toilet is basically private, and the bathroom is right next door.Although it is an old house, the friends who stayed were still relatively quiet, and a good night's sleep was not a problem ~ There is also green tea in the refrigerator in the common area that you can drink casually, which is great! So happy for the experience! If I come back to Kyoto, I will definitely choose this place again. Not only is the room beautiful and clean, the young man is also very good and interesting. It feels fun to chat with him. Hahahaha. I have already recommended it to friends who have a trip to Kyoto recently! We will see you again ~
