Chalet vacation rentals in Mid Devon District

We had a lovely stay at Alan' place despite the rain, it was great to have access to the swimming pool at these times! It was very peaceful at the chalet but not too much of a walk to the club house or the beach so I'd recommend this to both families or couples.

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

A perfect last minute get away. We booked super last minute and Linda was extremely helpful allowing us to do this. Her communication was spot on throughout our stay. We were really impressed with this especially because she was literally in opposite time zones. Her place is on a classic British holiday park. Perfect for young families. We made the most of the evening entertainment, parks and swimming pools. The chalet itself is extremely well equipped. It has quite literally everything you might need during your stay: Games, books, cleaning products, an abundance of kitchen equipment & utensils, spare batteries for all the appliances, plug in air fresheners re fills, quite literally THE LOT. The beds were super comfortable and clean. The decor was maybe a little dated but this isn’t a criticism because it was all perfectly functional. Overall a great stay with our 3 year old. Fantastic. Top tip: Milkyway adventure park up the road was really good.

We had a lovely weekend at the Duck house. We were 4 adults and 3 very lively dogs and we felt very welcomed by Jo to this idyllic country stay. You can hear the sheep in the adjacent fields and the garden is enclosed (which is great for the dogs) with a lovely variety of trees and plants. There is a small firepit and we were lucky to have good weather to enjoy an evening under the stars. The Duck house is completely private and separated from the main house and there is a pool for energetic guests. The accommodation has rather a quirky feel but the beds are comfy and there is good WiFi. There were a few unwanted cobwebs and the toilet and bathroom could do with a little TLC but this would not stop us returning in the future. We had some great walks on the nearby Langdon Hill and Golden Cap. Charmouth and Lyme Regis are only a few miles away.

Lovely little chalet, perfect for 4 and very close to Dartmouth and the whole of the extreme south of Devon. Our host Phil was very communicative and helpful, and everything was clear and easy to understand, making our stay stress-free. A perfect little getaway, and thanks to our hosts, we will book again when visiting the area.

Milton was extremely helpful. We left a few things behind he couldn’t have been more helpful. Answered every message quickly. We felt really at home in the Lodge. Everything we needed and appreciated the fire as the weather suddenly turned cold. Thank you for all your help. We would love to stay again.

Kevin's place is a very cool, alternative place to stay. Off grid and super chilled. I would stay there again.

We had a most enjoyable long weekend in Shelley's clean, comfortable & cosy chalet. Very pleased with the facilities & the well kept grounds. It was good to meet Shelley & her husband Martin to thank them in person as they have been extremely helpful & friendly. We will certainly recommend chalet 32 to our friends.

A beautiful modern chalet set in an absolutely stunning location. Chalet big enough for family with two teenage children. Bed Linen and towels, including beach towels, all included. Kitchen filled with lots of extras, including tea and coffee, tea towels, hand wash, condiments, great selection of utensils, bin liners, washing up liquid and sponge etc. Bathroom is very small but clean and shower works well, also includes toilet rolls! The sofas are comfortable and the views are incredible. There are plenty of places to walk to if you enjoy coastal walks and the three beach coves are all great to explore. Allocated parking bay is very close to chalet and only a very short walk up a few steps and along path to chalet entrance. If the weather is good you could quite possibly be in the prettiest place in the UK! Highly recommend.

Booked Driftwood for a 3 night stay to celebrate special birthday. It did not disappoint, we absolutely loved it wished we could have stayed longer. The view is beautiful and ever changing, so much interest. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Stunning trio of beaches. We had our elderly dog with us so swam twice a day on the main Bovisands beach which was was a lovely gentle 5 mins walk away. I should add that sea glass hunting on the beach immediately in front of the chalet was amazing! The chalet was warm, clean, really well equipped, lovely little kitchen, great shower, comfy bed and delightful lounge diner. Highly likely that we will be back. Thank you.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

It is hard to describe the beauty of this place. From the step out onto the beach which is at the quieter end of Lyme Regis but still very close to all the action to the Sky window to watch the stars. It has everything you could want in a small space which makes it feel cozy but also homely. This is my third time and I am someone who doesn’t like to visit the same place twice. I would recommend you book this place – you won’t be disappointed!

The Beach house was just perfect for our weekend away. It is situated in a peaceful location with beautiful views and within walking distance of two restaurants. For me it provided an ideal space to relax and read. From the lounge or the bench in the front garden I had views of the sea or I could enjoy sitting in the shrub lined garden at the back. I was also able to walk some of the coastal path, although very slowly with our 15 year old Jack Russell! For Andy it was just a 2 min walk down the path to the sea to go fishing. He's been fishing at West Bexington over the past 15 years and it was an absolute bonus to find this fab beach house. Sadly no fish this time! The Beach house is tastefully decorated and had absolutely everything we could possibly have needed for our stay. We also appreciated the eggs, milk and biscuits which were there for us on our arrival. We'll definitely be back! Many thanks Rosie and Andy

A perfect setting to clear my brain of all the clutter that builds up over time. Peace & quiet to read & read & then read some more. Will be booking to go back again later in the year. Kim is the best host.

Wow! What an amazing place this is - it’s even more beautiful than the pictures! Jo and David are wonderful hosts, David even met us at the car park and helped up carry our bags down to the property. Great communication from Jo before we arrived with really clear instructions, super flexible with arrival time. We had the most wonderful weekend and will absolutely be back, can’t fault it, absolutely no negatives.

Ben was amazing start to finish. Helpful, friendly, like visiting an old friend. We had quite a few luggages and reached there quite late, almost dark. We were panicking where to park and how to carry all the luggage to the chalet. But came to rescue, came to our car, helped us find a parking space and also gave us hand with carrying the luggage. What more we can ask for? Amazing experience. Thanks Ben.
