Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mälaren

We loved our stay at Mariana and Jonas’s peaceful farm just 15 minutes from the Stockholm airport—perfect for our family of five before our flight. Jonas was a wonderful host, showing us the horses, chickens, and even a runestone! Fresh eggs were a lovely touch. He also recommended a great lakeside restaurant in an old factory. A sunny, memorable end to our trip—highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at Susanna and Krister's listing. The decor was welcoming and beautifully curated. The outdoor spaces were little slices of heaven we were eager to enjoy. Susanna and Krister were lovely and attentive hosts and we would love to stay here again!

Vi hade en super vistelse i huset, stort och rymligt med fantastisk pool. Malin svarade snabbt på alla frågor och incheckning var mycket smidig. Rekommenderar!

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

Can only echo everything people have already. Great attentive host, really cool cabin, with everything you need on site and more. Anyone looking to get away from it all for a few days should look no further. I can promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Jack and Maria were wonderful, attentive hosts, with a beautiful property. Maria kindly warmed the sauna up upon our arrival and we were able to swim in the lake shortly after upon her guidance. The house is lovely and is connected very well to the city centre by the ferry which we loved, alongside great trails for running and walking. Jack and Maria were also kind enough to let us check out late - all of which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Die Hütte ist ein charmantes, altes Fischerhaus mit liebevollen Details, einem modernisierten Bad und einer voll eingerichteten Küche. Der Kamin sorgt für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre am Abend. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön angelegt und bietet eine tolle Sicht auf den See. Kinder können sich an dem Fußballtor und auf dem großen Trampolin austoben, während das Ruderboot zu einer Runde über den See einlädt. Die Eltern der Gastgeberin, die in der Nähe wohnen, sind sehr nett und haben uns herzlich begrüßt. Die Bahngleise hinter dem Haus stören vermutlich nur bei sehr unruhigem Schlaf, uns hat es nichts aus gemacht. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Apartment as described and matched the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked for its size. Coffee included! Convenient Gamla Stan location - easy to walk across the river and on a quieter Gamla Stan street. Very close to palace. A nice bakery restaurant is at the end of the street by the water. Obviously keep in mind that it’s an old building as it lists, full of charm. Depending on your family’s preferences, do note that the bathroom is quite snug. Our children also slept on the couch in the living room but they did find the house was a bit creaky when our family member sleeping downstairs would need to use the spiral staircase near the couch to reach the bathroom at night. FYI, if you’re planning on sleeping on the couch but you’re a light sleeper. If you have mobility issues, this probably isn’t the right stay for you. Overall good stay and everything was as expected for a Gamla Stan apartment.

Wonderful views with character and charming features in a fantastic location, walking distance to everything. Apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. A great great host, very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Gamla Stan!

A beautiful apartment, spacious and in the perfect location to tour Stockholm

Mycket fint boende i trevligt område. Gångavstånd till centrum. Fri parkering precis utanför huset. Ett extra plus för att sängkläder, handdukar och även tvål mm fanns på plats. Trevlig värd som alltid svarade snabbt. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka.

Perfect as over-night accommodation when visiting relatives in the area. Great central location in Strängnäs. Parking on the street right next to the house was convenient.

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

The house has a wonderful location in the park area, in front of the Siemens Energy office, and it is not far from the town's centre. Plenty of nature and a big lake are nearby. In five minutes, by foot, you can reach the 17th-century Finspang Castle. The entrance to the house, as well as the car park, is very comfortable. The studio is truly unique – its history and interior are inimitable! And it is also very spacious, bright, and clean with a good view. The kitchen has everything you need and even more! I was amazed by the number of sets of dishes – you could always choose one to suit your mood and time of day. I really liked the veranda, where it was very pleasant to have breakfast and dinner with a view of the green lawn and the lake. In reality, the studio turned out to be better than the photos – after all, it is impossible to convey the atmosphere of lightness, comfort and relaxation in photos!

Firat min 60 års dag med närmaste familj i detta underbara hus, fanns allt man behövde för att laga middag mm och att man kan umgås tillsammans samtidigt. Bastun var jättefin och övriga inredningar. Läget är tyst och fridfullt. Mycket barnvänligt. Perfekt för oss som fiskade/pimpla

(6 Erwachsene, 12 Tage) Haus + Umgebung sind traumhaft. Schöner als auf den Fotos. Haus + Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Großes Hauptschlafzimmer (Kleiderschrank, Badezimmer (Doppeldusche + Badewanne) großes Bett + Fernseher). 2. Zimmer - schönes Bett, jedoch keinen Kleiderschrank, somit auch kleiner. 3. Zimmer hat Etagenbett und ein 140 cm breites Bett + Ankleide. Eher Kinderzimmer. Wir haben nach einer Woche die Zimmer getauscht. 2. + 3. gemeinsames Bad (Dusche) + Fernsehzimmer Haus hat große Fenster, ist lichtdurchflutet + bietet einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den See. Große Terrasse mit Feuerstelle, Grill und diversem Mobiliar. Negative Punkte: Einige Küchenmaschinen + Grill waren nicht sauber, was aber eher an den vorherigen Besuchern liegt. Die Bettdecken und Matratzen wiesen Gebrauchsspuren auf. Linda + Michael waren immer erreichbar + sehr zuvorkommend. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen + würde gerne wieder dort meinen Urlaub verbringen. Tack så mycket!

Frida var fantastiskt både innan- och under hela vår vistelse. Svarade snabbt och var alltid flexibel med våra önskemål. Huset var vackert beläget och hade allt man önskade för en tjejhelg. Skulle gärna vilja komma tillbaka hit någon annan gång.

The perfect stay for our little family. Annah and Alex were extremely kind and helpful throughout our whole stay. Our kids (2 and 4) had the absolute greatest time exploring the house, grounds, animals and activities. Couldn't recommend more!

Wir hatten hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Ausblick auf das Meer einfach traumhaft schön. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen. Das Haus ist in einer ruhigen Lage und von hier aus haben wir viele Ausflüge unternommen. Der Gastgeber war jederzeit erreichbar und antwortete sehr schnell. Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Zeit die wir hier verbracht durften.

Unberbart boende i en fantastisk miljö. Huset är vackert och har alla bekvämligheter man kan önska. Terrassen är perfekt för måltider i naturens famn. Bastun är fräsch och finns på badrocksavstånd. Den lilla sandstranden är mysig och vattnet är klart, men det var för tidigt på säsongen för ett dopp. Den lilla elbåten är perfekt för små turer runt ön. Johannes är en exceptionellt trevlig och hjälpsam värd. Vi kände oss verkligen välkomna och väl omhändertagna från bokning till utcheckning. Stort tack för en oförglömlig upplevelse!

We had such a lovely stay. The house is beautiful - well cared for and wonderfully designed - and the panoramic view of the archipelago is amazing. We spent a few days just swimming from the private jetty and enjoying the view but the location is also a short drive to Nacka Strand, so we took the commuter ferry to visit Stockholm too. Chicki also particularly recommended the Artipelag gallery near Gustavsberg, so we had a lovely day there too, enjoying their sculpture trail through the forest by the sea. I would very much recommend this lovely Airbnb, its location and the helpful hosts.

Vi blev så fint mottagna – allt var rent, välordnat och det var verkligen en fin gest med nyplockade vilda blommor i vaserna. Huset ligger avskilt och var helt perfekt för en lugn och avkopplande vistelse. Utsikten var fantastisk och omgivningarna så vackra. Vi kände oss verkligen välkomna och hoppas få komma tillbaka!
