Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mälaren

We loved our stay at Mariana and Jonas’s peaceful farm just 15 minutes from the Stockholm airport—perfect for our family of five before our flight. Jonas was a wonderful host, showing us the horses, chickens, and even a runestone! Fresh eggs were a lovely touch. He also recommended a great lakeside restaurant in an old factory. A sunny, memorable end to our trip—highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at Susanna and Krister's listing. The decor was welcoming and beautifully curated. The outdoor spaces were little slices of heaven we were eager to enjoy. Susanna and Krister were lovely and attentive hosts and we would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Josefine’s place! The house was super nice, cozy, spacious, and very clean — it looked exactly like the pictures, if not even better. It had everything we needed, especially for traveling with a baby and a group of friends. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Josefine was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, which made our stay even smoother. The location was great too — close to a supermarket and a lovely playground, which was perfect for the little one. We definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back!

We stayed at Sara‘s place for a couple of nights and enjoyed our time there a lot. The house (and especially the kitchen) is well-equipped and the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. There is a canoe that can be carried to the lake, the bikes are a bit rusty, the sauna works well and without problems. Thank you Sara for our time here!

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

The cabin is a charming, old fisherman's house with lovely details, a modernized bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The property is beautifully landscaped and offers a great view of the lake. Children can let off steam at the soccer goal and on the large trampoline, while the rowing boat invites you to a round of the lake. The hostess's parents, who live nearby, are very nice and welcomed us warmly. The train tracks behind the house probably only disturb if you have very restless sleep, we didn't mind. We really enjoyed our time here and can recommend the place.

We stayed with our two sons for five nights at Toms appartment and felt immediately at home. It had everything we needed, many things to visit nearby and just down the street. Tom and Sunnöve asked in advance if we feel comfortable. Our great plus was the rooftop terrace. We loved sitting there in the evening, having a glas of wine and watching the silouhette of Stockholm. Wonderful views with character and charming features in a fantastic location, walking distance to everything. Apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. A great great host, very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Gamla Stan!

Great place close to Uppsala center. The unit is renovated very nicely and has cool modern interior with ample space for a family of four. Very comfortable beds as well! Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Anna’s house. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The place is incredibly peaceful, perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful walks through the forest just around the corner. The house itself is spotless, minimalist, and thoughtfully arranged. Everything was exactly as described. Anna, the host, is truly a ray of sunshine; kind, welcoming, and always helpful. We already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

Enjoyable stay with a great and dedicated host. You felt welcome. Activities in the accommodation for large and small and it feels private and individual even if there are several accommodations in the house. I experienced the surroundings as calm. There was everything my family and I needed for the stay and I also think it was worth the price. I'd be happy to book there again when I need to. What you can be aware of is that you can hear when those who live above walk around in the morning if you are bothered by such.

Celebrated my 60th birthday with the immediate family in this wonderful house, there was everything you needed to make dinner, etc., and that you can hang out together at the same time. The sauna was great and other decor. The location is quiet and peaceful. Very child friendly. Perfect for those of us who fished/pimpla

(6 adults, 12 days) House + surroundings are fantastic. More beautiful than in the photos. House + kitchen very well equipped. Large master bedroom (wardrobe, bathroom (double shower + bathtub) large bed + TV). 2nd room - nice bed, but no wardrobe, so also smaller. 3rd room has bunk bed and a 140 cm wide bed + dressing room. More like a children's room. We swapped rooms after a week. 2nd + 3rd shared bathroom (shower) + TV room House has large windows, is flooded with light + offers a breathtaking view of the lake. Large terrace with fireplace, barbecue and various furniture. Negative points: Some kitchen machines + grill were not clean, but this is more due to the previous visitors. The duvets and mattresses showed signs of wear. Linda + Michael were always available + very accommodating. I highly recommend the accommodation + would love to spend my vacation there again. Tack så mycket!

Frida was fantastic both before and throughout our stay. Responded quickly and was always flexible with our requests. The house was beautifully located and had everything you wanted for a girls' weekend. Would love to come back here another time.

The perfect stay for our little family. Annah and Alex were extremely kind and helpful throughout our whole stay. Our kids (2 and 4) had the absolute greatest time exploring the house, grounds, animals and activities. Couldn't recommend more!

We had a wonderful holiday here. The house is very nicely decorated and the view of the sea is simply fantastically beautiful. We felt very comfortable here and would come back here at any time. This was one of the best AirBnBs we ever stayed in. The beautiful setting, the great and well designed house, the greenhouse with fresh vegetables , the perfect fireplace and the small boat trips are only trumped by Johanness welcome and openness going out of his way to make sure we have the perfect escape. Beautiful location with great views from the house and sauna.

Lennart and Chicki's house is a stunning stay. The view is just amazing and sitting watching the boats go by was so calming and relaxing. it's not far to drive to Saltsjõbaden where there are restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. It's best to have a car to stay here. The fact that it's slightly off the beaten path is the thing that makes it so special. The house has everything you need - comfy beds, great shower, big outdoor area, nice kitchen. Chicki was great to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks for the lovely stay 🙂
